Have you tried them yet? Their distinctive Flavored Crust options are what this franchise proudly promoted as their "difference". With any pizza you order, you have the option of customizing the crust type and flavor combinations. My personal fav is Asiago Stuffed Crust, while the kids swear by the Butter & Cheese option. Using their app, I'm able to land some pretty awesome deals and weekly specials. Like their Wacky Wednesday deal featuring a Large Cheese for $4.99, perfect for the kids! And who doesn't love earning free pizza by eating reward points with each order?! My last order was probably my favorite so far! This review is based on the fact that HHP is a fast food chain like a Pizza Hut. You're paying for that speed and flavor. Sauce is good, you can taste a herb with rich tomato. Crust is Ok, Asiago flavor crust is better than garlic herb crust seasoning. Extra sauce made it more delicious. The cookie is okay, 3/5. It could use more ghiradelli chips. Got the pizza as a girls movie night and it was AMAZING!!!! I've only had it once but I am hoping it continues to exceed expectations!!

Until recently, this worldly gastronome would have never stepped foot inside a chain pizza restaurant, much less one with a silly alliterative name like "Hungry Howie's." No, I am a pretentious jackass who patronizes hipster pizzerias with one-word names like "Baked" and "Dough," the kinds of places that make their own "mozzarella di Bufala," cure their own meats (with names like "copa" and "speck"), and bake their pies in wood-fired brick ovens. Chain restaurants are pedestrian corporate behemoths unworthy of my patronage! Their primary demographic consists of exasperated soccer moms desperate to satiate their hordes of screaming, demonic, ADHD crotchfruits. Why, then, did I visit such a place? The answer is simple: it was the only pizza restaurant near my house during the recent lockdown. Just as "there are no atheists in foxholes" during wartime, there are no self-righteous foodies during lockdowns. To my surprise, the stuffed crust pizza I brought home that night was much better than it had any right to be. I wish I could say that the pizza was an inedible abomination (because negative reviews are fun to write), but I woofed that bad boy down like a ravenous werewolf. The crust -- though much thicker than I would have preferred -- was buttery and had a nice chew, the edges of the pepperoni were crisp (mmm...desiccated pork biproducts and nitrates), and the sauce was a pleasant balance between sweet and savory. The mozzarella inside the crust was plentiful and stringy in the best way possible. The pie was infinitely better than the greasy heart attack monstrosity I ate at Pizza Hut many years earlier. What surprised me the most about the experience, however, was the cleanliness of the place. The floors, walls, countertops, and prep areas were immaculate, a far cry from the disgusting photos I've seen online of other chair pizzerias. I'm not sure if this standard of cleanliness is consistent across all Hungry Howie's franchises, but I was duly impressed with what I saw at this location. Judging by appearance alone, I am confident that the staff do not wipe their boogers on the crusts. No, that's what gives Domino's pizzas their unique flavor. Now, before you begin jabbing me with scurrilous attacks on my character, please consider the circumstances that led me here. Rest assured that I will not begin patronizing chain pizzerias. Coincidentally, I plan to dine at Il Forno -- arguably the best pizzeria in the state of Texas -- later this evening. If, however, some mutant variant of the virus were to necessitate another lockdown, I would gladly return here for another stuffed crust pizza. If the management reads this, I have a few questions I hope they can answer. Just who is this Hungry Howie? If he owns a chain of pizza restaurants, then shouldn't he have enough food to be satiated? Are the nuclei of his basal hypothalamus damaged so badly that nothing, not even carb-heavy pizzas, can alleviate his hunger pangs? read more

This particular location is always great. The delivery is prompt. Pizza is piping hot and delicious! My son always requests the Ranch flavored stuffed crust. It is a must try! Pretty good Pizza from Hungry Howie's. We ordered a pepperoni and BBQ chicken with white sauce. The BBQ chicken wasn't for me - the white sauce threw me off and wasn't appealing to my taste buds, but other members of our party seemed to enjoy it. Pepperoni was tasty, and I really liked the stuffed cheese. Crust tasted good! Only flaw I can really give Hungry Howie's that would deter me from never ordering it again would be that the pizza just tasted really heavy. A lot of cheese and grease made me full, but not a very satisfying full. I liked the flavors and seasoning, it's very reminiscent of Domino's, but Howie's packs just a bit too much. In terms of customer service and delivery, Howie's is on the ball. Our delivery man was very friendly and we received the pizza in the exact time they estimated. I like there are various seasonings you can pick to be brushed on your pizza crust. Their salads are a nice sized portion and can hold to the next day as well. We absolutely loved our first experience with Hungry Howie's here in Helotes! Located right down the road, we conveniently picked up our order that was placed through Yelp's online ordering feature! We took advantage of their 2 medium pizzas for $5 each deal and ordered one pepperoni and one grilled chicken - both being absolutely delicious. We loved the option of ordering regular crust or thin (we opted for the regular) and it wasn't too much dough. Each pizza was great and will definitely order again! Ordered 2 liter soda and 2 pizzas thin crust and well done : mushroom, sausage with jalapeno ranch crust on one pizza, and the other pizza had pepperoni with cajun crust. Both pizzas were delicious. The mushrooms were fresh! Each pizza had their own great flavors. I ordered delivery through their phone app. I tried to track my pizza order on the app but it seems like the live tracking feature is currently not working. Never been on this side of town and just so happen to be working at the target location. All I wanted was something small and quick so I can get back to work. Never even heard of Hungry Howies before and thought I'd try it out. To my surprise they do have little personalize pizza and you can even build your pizza as well. I ended up getting the chicken bbq pizza and it was pretty amazing. I scarfed it down so fast and was looking at the empty box for more. Hungry Howie's has been in the neighborhood for around a year or so. I've had it delivered a few times during food emergencies. If you enjoy pepperoni pizza, you'll most likely enjoy Hungry Howie's. The pizza sauce is flavorful and the cheese is alright. To me, Hungry Howie's is lacking in the meat/toppings department. Wings are on the menu but they are so tiny. It's as if you're eating Cornish Hen wings. The flavors are also just alright. I like their pepperoni but the sausage and other meats do not add much to the pizza. I never order thin crust when I want pizza but I do order thin here because the regular crust takes over the pizza. The idea of flavored crusts is a neat idea. Most of them are actually good, such as onion, Asiago, and butter cheese. I did not care for the ranch flavor, it tasted a little weird. If you are in a hurry or something, Hungry Howie's can save the day. I recommend the pepperoni duo on thin crust. Well to say the least, I was pleasantly surprised by how good the pizza flavor was.
