I think this place is a good idea, but the location needs to be changed. They had a lot of good cocktails and an interesting items on their menu, but I can't imagine a lot of people show up to the location on general booth. It's just kind of out of the way. The other issue is how over priced the meal was. I paid over 20 dollars for a chicken and spinach omelette with a soda. Beyond great and really amazing for families. Roudy family environment at its best because as a family that is how our mornings are! Our kids could be themselves and they weren't looked at for being too loud when they are just being kids. Fun food choices! Especially for picky eaters, the Strawberry Nutella Pancakes, both of my kids at so much We will def be coming again and love that the owner was helping and waiting tables. We were lucky enough to have her as our waitress and she exceeded all expectations. She tried my children just like her own grand babies and even made sure we had a nice hot coffee to go for us. Ordered over the phone on a Sunday early afternoon (3/14) and went to pick up in person. The woman I spoke with over the phone was very nice answering my questions and telling me about the specials. The inside is very small so I'm happy I got it to go. I'm still not comfortable sitting close to people unmasked at restaurants. I ordered a few breakfast platters and they were pretty standard/straightforward, nothing special. But they forgot my grits for one of the orders I didn't notice until I got home because everything was packaged so nicely. I also ordered two orders of specialty pancakes - Red Velvet and Mint Chocolate which was a special for St Pattys day. Both were yummy! I wish they had put the butter in a container on the side like they do with syrup so it wouldn't be melted all over the pancakes by the time I got home. Overall I would return but only for the specialty pancakes, and definitely take it to go again! read more

My favorite breakfast spot in Virginia Beach. Great diner breakfast classics (think crispy hash browns and perfectly cooked eggs) and delicious specials (like blueberry and lemon curd pancakes). For the record, their pancakes are airy, fluffy and hit the spot, whether just good old fashion or specialty. On top of all of that, they have a full bar and crank out great bloody Mary's and mimosas. However, what makes this place truly special is the people. While the owners and staff are busy slinging drinks and breakfast they're never too busy to get to know every customer and create a genuine community in their four walls. This place was absolutely amazing! Welcoming staff from the minute we walked in. Very clean and taking covid precautions. Our waitress Kelly was great! I had the spam and eggs. Spam was cooked perfect crisp outside soft inside. My husband has a bacon and Swiss omelette. It was real Stripes of bacon and the cheese was perfect amount. We both had raspberry mimosas! We decided to try someplace new for breakfast. Huntley's was close by so we decided to try it. It's a small place and it was busy. We ordered pancakes and I have to admit they were the best part of the entire meal. I ordered a Spinach, Grilled Chicken and Swiss omelet which comes with hash browns and toast. the price was $14.99 so I assumed I'd be in for a hardy breakfast. Instead what I got was a tiny portion of hash browns and an omelet that looked closer to a crepe. Normally omelets are full and thick and a meal. The egg portion was literally razor thin and there were hardly any fillings. I also ordered a cup of coffee. How do you screw up coffee? Maybe it wasn't a fresh pot, maybe over roasted beans...but the coffee tasted off. Anyway after spending $43 on a breakfast for two...yes two, I would say we won't be returning. read more

The only good thing I can really say is that the servers who worked there were really nice. I came here yesterday with two other people. We ALL ended up sending our food back for something not being cooked correctly. The steaks were overcooked and had absolutely no seasoning. I got a Benedict and the eggs were hard boiled on the inside. Not to mention our food took way too long to arrive. My two friends got their steaks remade and it was still not how they asked (received well done when they asked for medium). We were on a time crunch and so they just ate it anyways. I was expecting a discount or something for the inconvenience (twice) but nope. Personally, I think the mimosas were a bit overpriced as well. The servers are all willing to provide suggestions and they do an amazing job making you feel welcomed and important. Now let's get to the good part... THE FOOD. I had the fish and chips and a bloody for breakfast because, why not? The loaded bloody was delicious, love me some shrimp. The flounder, my god, so light and airy I loved every single bite of it. What a great place to eat. The food is some of the best around. You can't go wrong with a restaurant brave enough to put SPAM on the menu. The servers all have each others backs and we never find ourselves waiting for anything. We went when the owner was in town and hadthe sausage gravy and buscuit. I highly recommend it. Other than the grits and bacon the food is great. Bacon tasted like the oven or top it was cooked on and the grits weren't seasoned. That being said the pancakes were leaps and bounds beyond what you would get at a chain like ihop. Service was fast and professional. Upon entering I was greeted with a friendly staff and a quick seat. My waitress Kelly was fine with me having to wait for my late husband lol.
