The seating area has several family style table. Now onto the Star of the show. My throat is feeling a little scratchy and I was in Kihei craving pho. I did a little search and found this place so off I went. The cashier was friendly and kind. The vegetarian pho is a nice sized portion (leftovers were brought home). I added sriracha, hoisin and jalapeños. I wish I would have tried it before adding them because it was the most flavorful and fresh pho I have ever had. Everything was delicious and fresh from the broth to the noodles to the vegetables. We don't get a lot of soup weather on Maui but I can't wait to go back! read more

Located in a food court, Huong Nam caught my attention because I wanted the ube tapioca (which was so delicious, I forgot to take a picture). I got the lemongrass chicken on noodles. The portion was a really nice size, enough for 2 meals for me. I was staying at a hotel, so I had to eat as much as I could that day. This was not difficult because the chicken was so good. I was happy to see this restaurant open up after the previous tenants left. I have tried them several times and the food is delicious and well made. Some of my favorites are the summer rolls , the cold noodles with the spring rolls and any of the proteins I like the bbq beef and spring rolls. The Pho is also delicious. Since there no reviews on anything vegan here: there's a vegetarian menu and everything is vegan except for the Garlic Tofu Noodle (has butter). I love the Tofu Summer Rolls! Also the Vegetarian Pho is good to dine in there (can't imagine what it would come to-go in?), except there's barely any tofu so next time I'm seeing if they can add extra tofu for protein. Decided to try this new Vietnamese place for Pho on a rainy day. It's located in the Food Court at the Maui Marketplace in Kahului in the former Bale space. There is plenty of seating available. They used to be located at the Wharf Cinema Center in Lahaina before the fires. For now they are open from 9am - 8pm daily, but they may adjust their hours as needed. We came on their soft opening day so they were offering 15% off everything which was a nice surprise. I ordered my favorite, vermicelli with spring rolls. The portion size was good with 4 large spring rolls that were crispy and yummy! The pho was really good too, better than other places. It's nice to have another Vietnamese place to go to. Also so happy to support a business that relocated after the Lahaina fires. read more

Happened to be at Maui Marketplace today around lunch, so we popped into the food court and saw a couple new places. I went up to look at the menu and the man at the counter was not helpful at all. He didn't ask if I had any questions, he just looked at me, straight faced, waiting for my order. I was in the mood for a sandwich so I got the BBQ chicken banh mi. It is on pretty skinny bread, but was chock full of stuff. It tasted good, but was a bit dry. I had to add a lot of hot sauce to it. There is ample seating as there are only three restaurants left after the pandemic. This was my second time ordering takeout from here, as I have had several friends say they have had good experiences. The food was great and comparable to other good Vietnamese restaurants in Hawaii. Well well well... Yelp led me to another pho spot, and honestly, I wasn't expecting much, because we've found ourselves inside of a food court. But the saying goes, "never judge a book by its cover"... I ordered my standard, combination pho, and to my surprise, it wasn't bad at all. The broth? Clear, flavorful, and had that fancy meat-oil sparkle that says, "Yes, I simmered for hours, respect me." Meat to noodle ratio was ok. Could've used a bit more of the good stuff (tendon, brisket, etc.), but the broth made up for it! I noticed, they don't just leave the chili oil out like it's free candy, you gotta ask for it. Otherwise, you're stuck with the usual hoisin and sriracha duo, which is fine, but we came to customize. Standard veggies, sprouts and Thai basil. Wished they carried culantro, but it seems not to many places have this. Dined in and pho was served in metal bowls. Keeps your pho hotter! Smart move! No pics because I blacked out from hunger.
