    Mexican Bowl and Catch Reuben
    Melanie B.

Hurricane Hole is a reeeeally nice place. We went there and had the Cath of the day Reuben Sandwich and the Mexican Bowl, both were incredibly delicious. We will definitely go there again! The service was really good, too.

Catch any fish in key west? Bring it here and they wil cook it for you how you like it - and it won't be expensive. We caught a bunch of lane snappers and it only costs $10 for a pile of fried fritters of it. The fish sandwich was also really tasty and the vibe is cool with a marina full of house boats, kayaks and such. We also shared a table with a super nice couple from Indiana so good conversation too.

Amazing service and great tasting food. I ordered the conch chowder which was stuffed with conch. Our server, Santa, provided great service and kept our drinks filled. I ordered the catch of the day Ruben which was snapper which was perfectly cooked and tasted amazing. My wife ordered the lobster Mac which had a generous portion of lobster. The pasta was well seasoned and you could taste it.

    Hurricane Hole!

Great spot! Stopped to ask about getting a fishing license and found a great place to hang out and watch manatees and pelicans.

This is the only restaurant/meal we didn't pre-plan, and honestly, I think it was the best meal of our trip (which says a lot, because we had some amazing food in Key West)! Our fisherman recommended this place to cook our freshly caught snapper (we brought our cleaned filets for them to cook), and it was incredible. It's a bit confusing since you don't see a host, you just find an open table outside and sit in it. It was an incredibly busy day, so it took a second for our waiter to take our order, but he was very professional and friendly and we didn't mind the wait. The outdoor seating is right by the marina, which is super convenient with a nice vibe. We started with the conch ceviche, which was AMAZING. Skip the fritters and get this to really enjoy some conch with a little zest. We also got the conch chowder, which is tomato-based and not cream-based, to our absolute pleasure. It had a kick to it and I'd also highly recommend it. We got our fresh catch blackened, which was fantastic. It doesn't cover the natural delicious flavor of the fish, but enhances it and was cooked perfectly. Honestly some of the best fish I've had in Florida. The sides were also awesome: black beans (more like soupy beans, with a fantastic flavor), yellow rice, onion rings (fried perfectly), and delicious, fresh, crunchy coleslaw (not too mayonnaise-y)!! I'm so, so, so glad we came here. Definitely eat here!!

    - The mussels were pretty tasty but had so much food colouring. My napkins and fingers were all a deep yellow after eating - Great bang for your buck - The shrimp bo poy is HUGE - Seat yourself - Food comes out quick

No pets but "service dogs" are allowed. Seat yourself. Was immediately approached by a waitress. Was brought water and a water bowl for my dog. Thank you for caring . Food was amazing! The catch day was ok but the shrimp po boy was delish. Great size and lots of fries.

OMG the reviews aren't wrong. This place has huge portions and tasty tasty food. The rustic decor adds to the lovely meal. Our water cups were kept filled, the service was great and we were all happy with our meals. One thing: the sweet potato fries we bland and the French fries needed a bit of salt. But overall a great meal.

There should definitely be more reviews of this place! This place was so impressive, we skipped trying anything the second night and just came right back! Catch of the day was Mutton Snapper, and I have to say its great blackened or fried...we did both. The fresh cut fries were amazing. Even the kids shrimp basket was a hit, oh and that's not even mentioning the nachos loaded with chicken... all AMAZING. The ambiance is relaxed and set up against a beautiful marina. Watching the beautiful boats pull up for a chair at the bar was just the perfect addition to the entertainment. We ran out of nights on this trip, but we'll certainly be back next time!

Great locals spot with outdoor dining and marina view. Catch of the day was mahi mahi and it did not disappoint. These were the best fish tacos I've ever had ! Service was friendly and quick . We also ordered catch bites 5/5 which were mahi lightly fried. A fish sandwich 4/5 blackened but a bit on the salty side and key lime pie 4/5 . Most reasonably priced local restaurant we could find with fresh catch of the day .

Negative stars!! We didn't even eat here after waiting for 20 minutes because the service was VERY VERY RUDE.

We stopped by the market to snag some fish for dinner and stopped into the Dock restaurant for an appetizer. We had 4 kids and 4 adults, it's a small spot but we enjoyed the outdoor space even though it was rainy. Our bartender/server was great. He had good recommendations for menu items and gave us some great information about the area and things to see and do. Ended up staying a few hours even though we planned for only a quick stop. Such an amazing hidden spot. An absolute gem. Get the lobster rangoons!

Overall, the food quality was okay. Portion sizes were average however, the Fish & Chips came with 2 small strips of fish buried under a thick layer of oily breading on top of a huge mound of fries. Once I unburied the fish it was tasty & fresh but not much of it. My husband enjoyed his shrimp scampi but it was seemed to be lacking something. Unfortunately, the service does not measure up to the type of restaurant they portray themselves to be. The server was not particularly friendly nor attentive. (No follow-up on drinks or service) We were asked by another friend to go to dinner last night and he suggested The Docks. We politely declined.

From the moment we entered the restaurant to the long after time of our departure, she continuously greeted us with excitement, joined us in conversation, and even helped us capture moments in pictures. She really helped make this a memorable experience for us. Now to the food. So I have had Broils in multiple areas of the country. From Maraylamd, Texas and to the Low Country of Charlestin SC, but I have never had as tasty of Broil as I just had at the Yummy Crab in Key West Florida. I mean this place was absolutely amazing! The flavor of every piece of crab, corn, crawfish, shrimp, sasauge and potatoes in the dripping wet cajun sauce served in a bag to retain all that juice, flavor and aroma was all nearly too much to contain. So glad of all the wonderful places on the island we had to eat we chose this place. Thank you Jackie for your outstanding hospitality and service. You are amazing!

I was also shocked with the price at $32 per pound for that shrimp. Seasoning was decent, but it really didn't taste fresh and felt frozen. Service was ok. Our server didn't check up on us too often. I always had to ask for a refill on my soda. Would I go back to this place, probably not. I can get a better seafood boil in Miami.
