Our HVAC stopped doing its work. It was giving some cold air out, but it was absolutely not sufficient to cool down the house. The HVAC was spending 8-9 hours per a day to just keep 25.5C in the house (given it was about 34C outside). I've posted a regular Yelp request and almost immediately got contacted by Barsin even though it was off the business hours. Two days later (I had a packed schedule on the following day, so we moved the appointment to the next day) he came right in time and got the issue fixed in less than a half of an hour. He also explained me what was the root cause and gave options on how to fix it. It was very helpful to understand the options and have a rough cost/duration estimate on each. I'm not a big expert in this field, but as far as I can tell from the others feedback, the service price was very fair. I had HVACerz install an AC unit and replace an existing furnace that was very old. I could not be more pleased! 1. The price: I received quotes from multiple other companies and no one could beat their price. Not only that, other companies were beyond rude when I asked questions (particularly the larger companies). 2. Impressive knowledge! The HVACerz team was super considerate and creative when it came to placement of the AC unit. Instead of going the easy route (which is what all the other companies recommended), they suggested that we put the unit the other side of the house to reduce the amount of noise we would hear. We didn't even know there was another option and didn't even think about the noise until they brought it up! If we had put the unit in the original location, it would have been right outside our living room where we spend most of our time. 3. Installation & quality: they were fast, courteous and followed shelter in place rules. We passed inspection with flying colors! In fact, the inspector that came for our HERS inspection complimented the work that the HVACerz did and said that they used high quality materials! I am beyond happy with their service and so happy. I have a wonderful house in SJ which I was lucky to buy 2 years ago. The furnace was 20+ years old, so it needed replacing. I spoke to a number of contractors before them and I was not comfortable with many of them. With this company from the first quote Barsin was amazingly professional. He went over the options, was friendly, and did not push me on anything. The price was excellent. The installation work was done as promised. Nahira and John were timely and professional. Two months later I am quite satisfied with their work, enjoying the heat when I was cold a year ago. I plan on working with them because the AC condensor needs moving and replacing. They also arranged a duct test and were present during the city inspection. All my interactions with them were professional and friendly. They seem very trustworthy. After dealing with different contractors, you first always have to ask the most important question - Do I trust this person on my house and property? Be careful of those who are not professional and have bad reviews. Do your homework by reading all the reviews. For those of you who are women and/or live alone, it is even more important to be extremely careful. There are a lot of people you don't want to be dealing with inside your house. I work in the valley as a software engineer during COVID-19, and we have kids too. So, work from home with kids! With the summer coming we were not looking forward to another hot summer with no A/C. To top it off, in the winter our furnace is LOUD. So, either we are freezing or we can have a conversation/watch TV. We were not looking forward to having the same experience in the summer... We got quotes from many HVAC people, starting from last year, but the price was always prohibitive. Quotes on the A/C were pretty standard, but fixing the loud furnace (and would-be loud A/C) problem was always expensive: thousands of dollars. This is because everybody who looked at it wanted to move the furnace so the blower wouldn't be right next to the kitchen. Techvac/HVACerz realized that you could leave the furnace where it was and move the return further away from the blower by running ducting. They were the first to propose this idea out of half a dozen HVAC people. The solution was pretty straight forward and they quoted me 1/3 to 1/4th what I was getting elsewhere (because they weren't moving the furnace). Just to double check, I got another quote AFTER their visit, and ran their idea by the other guy, he still quoted me 3x what they did. Technically the return is maybe a bit long, but we have a small house that is easy to heat, and a little loss in efficiency is nothing compared to the peace and quiet we now enjoy. I was so impressed by their innovative approach and affordability that of course we chose them to install our A/C and they put in a Carrier condenser and came up with a great installation plan. I know the plan was great because it was exactly the plan that a 5-star Yelp HVAC guy proposed to us last year during a quote that did not work out. So they do great, UNSURPRISING designs, but still have innovative ideas, and come in with competitive bids. At installation time they were courteous and respectful, including of my young children. For example they were tip-toeing around the house when they saw my eldest daughter was taking a cat nap on the floor during the quote. I do not know their relationship with each other, but they work well together and are friendly with each other and bring a very positive work environment to the site when they start installation. They work hard and get the job done fast: two days to move the return and put in the A/C! I do not normally write a gushing review but the loud furnace was a REAL PROBLEM and after a half dozen HVAC guys told us it would cost thousands to fix, these guys cracked the code, and gave us a competitive bid with an expert design for our A/C installation. read more

We got a few quotes from a variety of companies and went with HVACerz. They were fair, not pushy, and knowledgeable. The quoting process was quick and the job ended on budget. We moved our furnace into the attic when replacing out ~10 year old unit. The quality of work was excellent! They moved our gas line, condensate line, and replaced our refrigerant line to our condenser. They also provided a cat walk and lighting in the attic from our crawl space access point to the unit (this is code). Again the quality of work was excellent and they were honest and friendly (they were great with our kids and gave then teddy bears when the job was done). HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! We elected to not replace our condenser at the time of install as it works very well. When the time comes for a new unit we will be calling the team at HVACerz. One final note. About 3 months after instal we had an air flow issue. I texted the team and they were down the same morning! There was a piece of insulation between the return and ducts. We were having problems with the furnace during cold weather (of course), but I mention that because you might expect trouble finding service during that time for that issue. Despite the timing, Barsin maintains reliable communications, response, and value. I got same day service on the first call. He didn't charge the dreaded minimum 'service call' fee that most do. I was here a few minutes and told me how to fix the issue (create more airflow with a new filter and open all vents). The problem persisted for a few days and, again, he returned. He did more testing and gave me a better filter and other help and took a small fee for the trouble. My furnace is quite old, but still works. I had another company years ago suggest replacing it and the A/C for $15k. It wasn't necessary then, and isn't now. And if you can find a tech to tell you that....keep him. read more

There was excellent communication from them as well, they always texted or called to confirm we were available. I called HVACerz because my furnace was broken and I wanted to have it replaced anyway because it was loud as a jet engine. I have not had better service from any company than HVACerz, and the results are perfect. During the consultation they recommended to not just replace the furnace but to also add a longer duct between furnace and vent to decrease the noise even more. It works like a charm and I really appreciate their expertise. They had to come in November during Covid, but they were wearing masks at all times so I never felt not safe having them in our house, and they left it as clean as when they arrived. The installation took less than a day which is less than I had expected. The price was awesome and they even installed a new thermostat for free so now I can tell Alexa when I want to turn up the temperature :-) I could not recommend HVACerz more highly! read more

My heater was not working. Requested a quote, came to my home, inspected the unit, provided a reasonable quote and got started. The furnace blower motor was done. They completed the job, cleaned up after themselves and left. Everything was done with a sense of urgency while maintaining quality of work. I received other verbal estimates over the phone but they were just guesses. Other companies were a few days out to get quotes. Overall Barsin's pricing was better and his turn times were quicker, not to mention that he knows what he is doing. I will def pass his info to my friends and family. 5 Stars because I couldn't get call backs or any same day diagnosis from anyone else. This review is for a repair that was completed on 8/12/20. On the late afternoon of 8/11 the compressor for my air conditioner broke. I immediately sent out a handful of requests for quotes as I eagerly wanted to get the compressor repaired since a heat wave was coming in the next few days. HVACerz was the only company that offered me a free estimate in addition to being able to come the next day. I went to sleep that evening with the peace of mind knowing I was going to have the problem diagnosed, and potentially repaired, the next day. Thankfully Rameil contacted me early on the morning of 8/12 and noted that Barsin (the technician) had availability to come in the morning. Barsin arrived on time, properly dressed with a mask, and was able to diagnose and explain the problem with the compressor within a few minutes. The repair was completed shortly and the faulty part was replaced. The compressor was back up and running within 24 hours of breaking thanks to Barsin. Barsin also went the extra mile by giving me a few tips to help me keep the compressor working efficiently and even helped me with replacing an air filter on the HVAC unit inside my house. And when he heard that I have small children he gave our family a HVACerz stuffed bear. The reason why I didn't post this review until now was because I wanted to wait to ensure the repair was effective. The AC compressor has been running flawlessly since it was repaired by Barsin.
