Barsin came back a second time after I called HVACerz informing them of my AC unit working but the air being not as cold as before which was causing my AC unit to take 2 hours to cool down the house just 2 degrees on a hot day. I can only imagine how much the electricity cost resulted from that. Barsin wasn't on time but instead had called me 2 hours earlier to see if I'd like for him to arrive early which I was VERY grateful for. In 30 minutes he was able to isolate the issue to a low voltage condenser as well as low Freon. Once the those items were fixed, Barsin even cleaned out my AC unit for FREE which is usually an added charge. The AC unit is almost too cold now which I love, personally. My heating and cooling system from 1992 was ready for retirement. The AC quit working 2 years ago and the heat did not turn on this year. HVACers could have got the heat working, but the AC system with it's R22 refrigerant was a dying breed. So we put in a Carrier 58TP1B 2 stage heater with 25spd fan (although I think I am really only using 2), Carrier 5 ton condenser/compressor 24SCA560 (SEER 15 vs the old one at about 10-12) which was slightly more than 33% of the entire price, and lastly an ADP evaporator coil (ADP makes these coils for many of the others). My ac went out during a heat wave. There was a power outage, then when the power came back the ac was not working. HVACerz was able to come out in just 2 days, whereas the other companies said they couldn't come for a week. They were on time, and wore a mask. They spent some time diagnosing the problem using a voltmeter. They made the fix. I was worried the furnace motherboard was out ($600 part on amazon), but it was just the transformer. Barsin and his team are excellent. I needed to replace my old, inefficient central air conditioner and gas furnace with a heat pump and air handler before the warm weather arrives. I interviewed five contractors but ultimately decided to go with HVACerz. Due to inflation, everything has gone up in price, including equipment and labor, but the quote from HVACerz was very fair compared to the other contractors. Barsin was the most thorough in explaining the entire installation process during the interview. He identified necessary steps, such as running a new 220V line from the main box to the air handler (the old furnace used 110V), and also running a long exterior communication line from the heat pump (backyard) to the air handler (garage). The other contractors either glossed over these steps or didn't mention them. I trusted that Barsin would do a great job, and he did. He and his team completed the job in one day, working non-stop from 8 AM to 4 PM. I particularly appreciated the fact that they're friendly and personable. As proof that Barsin knows his stuff, he was able to quickly troubleshoot a pre-existing wiring issue and got the Nest thermostat to communicate with the system as the final step. Of course, to a certain degree, selecting a new contractor comes down to gut feel. Time will tell if I made the right choice, but so far, I believe I did. We needed to add AC to our home (the second floor gets unbearable in the summer months)... In an attempt to literally "beat the summer heat (waves)", we gave Barsin a call for an estimate in late April/early May to come out to do an estimate for us! Barsin replied quickly and came by for an estimate. He was extremely thorough as he checked out the current set up, perimeter, electrical panels, ducts, and climbed up into the attic to see how the lines would run. He gave a lot of context and answered ALL of our questions. Besides giving a very competitive quote...it was his responsiveness, knowledge, and friendly personality that really won us over. A couple weeks later him and his team come by to do the install. My existing 23 year-old gas furnace and A/C system was both on its last leg and in fact, the A/C unit was no longer working so I needed a complete replacement and HVACerz was my contractor of choice. Barsin and the installation team headed up by Nahira was absolutely outstanding in every way. The equipment they provided was top notch with gas furnace being a Carrier two stage system and a high heat pump unit that was also a two stage system. My AC went out last summer and I decided to install a heat pump instead and also replace the old furnace. I contacted a few places for quotes. Barsin was very fast in responding to my query. He came over and explained the equipment he would install, how the system would work and the nuances of a dual fuel system. Today him and another HVACer installed the system and it's working great. It turned out that one of the control wires going from the inside unit to the outside one had a short. They very quickly figured this out and installed a new wire and made a conduit to run it from the house to the heat pump outside. HVACerz are awesome! We rent a condo on the top floor and our AC broke the last time we had a horrible heat wave in the triple digits (several days before the horrible wildfires all over CA)! It was miserable! Yelp says they're closed, but give them a call, the owner came same day on a Sunday to do free troubleshooting/quote. He is very kind, transparent, honest, and responds right away. Turns out our AC was 24 years old and was installed improperly. It would blow out air, but the temp never went down in our house and wasn't as strong as it used to be. He said our antifreeze needed to be replaced but since it was so old, they didn't make that kind readily available anymore and it would be $150 per gallon! So he said we could add more coolant/antifreeze (don't know how long a gallon would last us), or replace the whole unit altogether. We decided to get a brand new unit. He said he would add a gallon for us for free that day since we planned to get a new one and then he'd come back with his guys a few days later to install the new one. It was about $7k, $7,500 for a new unit but we split it with our landlord (my sister in law). They were so professional! And even gave us some company souvenirs (coffee mug and a really legit water bottle the same caliber as a Hydroflask). They bring their own tarps so they don't dirty your carpet/floors. Would highly recommend them to all of our neighbors and everyone we know!! read more

What a fantastic company to work with and a great team! After more than 25 years living in our home and with the changing climate that we all are now experiencing that is affecting the entire world we live in, we finally decided to have air conditioning installed. Let me mention that when our home was built it was pre-installed with all the electrical, tubing, etc. to connect an air conditioning unit, which I thought would be simple as pie where you just connect the units and you are done but that wasn't the case with all of the companies that I had reached out to except for one, HVACerz. I had contacted four a/c companies and the first three said they could not use the pre-installed connections and told me that they would have to run new electrical, wires, tubing, the whole bit. We received various quotes that was way over budget than I had planned. One of the companies tried up selling me with installing new windows and I told the dude that I just had double-pane Milgard windows installed two years ago for the entire house. Anyways, HVACerz came out and I met with Barsin and he checked out and tested the pre-installed A/C connections and confirmed that it was okay to use. We decided to go with HVACerz not only that they were efficient on determining if the pre-install A/C connections were good but their quote was much lower than the other companies and they did not try to up sell me by recommending to install all new electrical, tubing, etc. for items that were not necessary. During this time the Bay Area was experiencing a week of triple digit heat and you can imagine that everyone was ordering air conditioning for their homes and as it turned out a lot of the major air conditioning manufacturers were running out of inventory because of the high demand. Barsin and Rameil kept me abreast at all times and finally worked their magic and they were able to obtain a 4-ton Bryant A/C & furnace units and immediately scheduled an installation for the following day.
