They close at 12am; but last time I went(~10pm), an HOUR BEFORE closing, the waiter really rushed my friend and I. He pretty much asked us to leave way before closing time. Pretty good! Only my second time trying KBBQ not in ktown and I liked Hwang's! $22 for AYCE, which is on the pricier side, IMO. It comes with sides (no kimchee), salad and rice. We came for an early weekday dinner around 5:30pm and only one table was occupied. We got the bulgogi, spicy pork and pork belly. Spicy pork was yum! I liked all the banchan as well. Service was very friendly - two korean aunties seemed to be running the place and we never had to press the service button. The entrance is a bit hidden, but the interior is nice and airy and the vents seem to work pretty well. Attached parking lot is also a bonus! Would come back here for more kbbq! read more

Came by here because all the other all you can eat Korean BBQ were about an hour/2 hour wait. They had 2 available tables, although they were covered with dishes. The server told us to sit down at the "wait table", and we proceed to do so. We waited around 20 minutes, with all the servers waiting the occupied tables and ignoring us. They did not acknowledge our presence (a simple "it will just be one moment" would have sufficed) and we felt like they were avoiding us. As time went on, we decided to just join the waitlist on Yelp for Gen KBBQ. And when we weren't seated for 30 minutes even though there were now 3 unoccupied tables, we decided to leave because we were super hungry and this wait was not worth it at all. I think it would be best for servers to understand that it's common courtesy to clean a table (when it's available) while there are customers waiting and then seat them right away. Customers who already have food and have already been served don't really need to be checked up on when there are customers literally waiting 20+ minutes to be seated-- that can be done after everyone who is waiting has been taken care of. read more

What a waste of our money. The quality of food was not acceptable. We ordered the beef and pork combination. They didn't bleed out the beef, it was "gamey". The meat was C grade, leathery! The portions were huge huge but the food was not tasty. We didn't even eat half of our bbq. In addition, the service was bad, slow~we had to ask the server four times for ice. First time having KBBQ in Gardena and it was pretty good.Their AYCE is $16.99 per person and has nine meats to choose from. I think places in K-town have more selection for the same price. I like the round tables where everyone can help out in cooking the meat in the center. Out of the nine meats we tried the brisket, black pork belly, beef ribs, marinated sliced beef and beef tongue. The meat quality was decent. We all liked the flavor of the marinated sliced beef. Not sure what the difference was with the pork belly vs black pork belly. It tasted the same to me. The banchans were all ok too. I liked that they had they fried tofu, not a lot of places have that. The seasame dipping oil was way too salty! I had to ask for a separate little bowl with just the sesame oil. Service was lacking big time. Even with the booty call button..I think it wasn't working 50% of the time. We asked two ladies for water several times before they brought it to us. They have dduk bo ssam so I'd like to come back and try that instead of the KBBQ. read more

It started after a few pieces of meat in my mouth. :-( I never ate so "Less" meat at a kbbq before. Aside from being expensive $17.99 (I'm usually just satisfied with the $9.99 option) I was very disappointed, And sorry to say it's the worse Korean BBQ I'd ever had. The meat was tough and rough. The cooked brisket had a very foul raw meat aftertaste to it that made me sick to my stomach. They only have one AYCE option, $17.99 for 9 different kind of meat. We ordered the Beef brisket- omg foul raw meat after taste! Beef ribs- marinated. Good taste but beef was too tough Pork Neck- I thought was the best meat of the option Pork belly- fatty but good. Chicken- lightly marinated but bland There were a lot of banchan (side dishes). 8 different dishes. The pancake was the best. We grilled them too until it's a little hot and crisp. Customer service was alright,... until we asked to change our grill because it was very charcoal. The lady will not do it for us and told us it's still good to use, and never return to change the grill the entire meal. I would understand if it was busy, but it wasn't even that busy. read more

Took my homegirl Cammy here for her birthday last night around 9pm. The place looked ghetto from the front and I was a little uncertain since I was the one who found this place. But Cammy and my other friend seemed thrilled. So we walked in and got seated right away. We sat in a little cove with a BBQ grill (round table) that seats 3 people exactly. That was actually something I've never seen before and we all loved it. Their AYCE Korean BBQ menu was impressive at $16.99 with 9 different types of meat. My two friends wanted AYCE and I only wanted bibimbap. But it's all or nothing....everyone had to order AYCE according to their policy. We ordered brisket, marinated sliced beef, black pork belly and pork neck (& bibimbap for me). The menu also came with rice, salad and side dishes. The salad and the side dishes were pretty average. My favorites were the potato salad and green onion pancakes. I wasn't too crazy about their kim-chi. The meats came and oh my that was a shit-load of meat!! There was NO WAY in hell we were gonna man-up all that food! We cooked up most of the pork belly, some brisket and we never made it to the sliced beef or pork neck. Then came the bibimbap. I made the girls eat it with me. Bibimbap is always good at most places. The only improvement I'd ask here is to use thinly sliced beef instead of beef chunks. The one thing that really concerned me towards the end of our meal was the cleanliness. Most places serve uncooked meat sliced up and placed neatly on platters. But this place piled the meat in stacks and the bloody marinate was literally overflowing the platter. It was nasty. I hope they don't re-use that meat cause it was sitting for at least an hour. Actually I didn't eat any of the meat...I had an aversion to it's bloody sight from the begining. (My friends seemed okay the next day). Service here was excellent (in the beginning). There was this young waiter who explained to us everything on the menu and what meats are good, etc. But towards the end, service was almost non-existent. The boy probably left home. There was an older lady left and she was busy watching TV. I felt like I had to do cart-wheels in order to get her attention. The bill came to $80 for the 3 of us. Personally I would not come back. I'm not a big meat eater nor a good AYCE person. I don't really care for bloody platters of uncooked meat either. If I do come back, it would have to be for the bibimbap....but then there's plenty of other places who does it just as good if not better. read more

LEGIT AYCE KBBQ outside of Koreatown. I am a fan of Hwang's because of their AWESOME lunch special. $9.99 for AYCE KBBQ! The lunch special runs form 11am - 3pm. You get three types of meat: Beef Brisket, Pork Belly, and BBQ Chicken. And, the special comes with rice, salad, rice cake, and kimchi. Service here is great. And I like how this place is never crowded so it's easy for them to accommodate big groups. The way these tables are set up is a little awkward though. If you're in a group of eight, then there would be four of you sitting on one side with your own grill. There's a table connecting you to the other four people in your group but they're all the way on the other end of the table with their own grill. The stools here have no backrest. Almost as uncomfortable as the stools at Sushistop. I love the hot broth they bring out at the end of a meal... it's filled with tons of Tofu! There are tons of parking in the parking lot in front of the store. There's a nice Korean bakery next door as well as a boba store for your after lunch dessert! read more

They have AYCE KBBQ here but I actually haven't tried it. (Side note: I think if you want good AYCE in South Bay, you should head over to Gen BBQ in Torrance). I've been here about 3-4 times now with coworkers and friends and it's always for their Oh-Sahm Bulgogi which is squid and pork belly with bean sprouts. Love the spicy marinade/sauce they use. It's pretty delish but the best part is that they make fried rice afterwards on the grill for you with the leftover bits. YUM! I also love their moo-geun-ji kimchi! Service is hit or miss. Came here on a Saturday night kinda late (good thing they're open till 1 AM) with a large group of people. We were seated right away because there wasn't a lot of people. The seats are round haha and you sit on tiny chairs with no backing. But the plating is cute! They have colorful cups! The service was good! The waitress was very kind and served us really fast. Every time we needed something she was right there! And the "call" button...you can hear the bells go off when you push it :). For AYCE its around $17 a person. And they are fast in getting the food out. Oh, FYI, these plates of meat have a lot of blood. Like the meat is sitting in a pool of its blood. So if you're squeamish, keep that in mind. One of the better korean all you can eat bbq places in Gardena. It's definitely one of my top two in the area. The location has a big parking lot so parking is usually very available. Though there are other shops surrounding it, they tend to always be closed when I go. (I am a bit of a night owl). Once walking in you are greeted and seated. One of my favorite things about this location is their grill. It's freaking awesome! It quickly gets hot and cooks food thoroughly without burning it. The meat choices are varied and of good quality. My go to is always beef brisket! Any location I go to, I always get this. Another good choice is their pork bell. The service is good and friendly, overall it's pretty chill. Okay, main point to be noted is that the meat quality does not keep up with other KRN BBQ locations. This is not an AYCE. but meat quality tasted like AYCE quality. No Kimchi or soups with the combos. You have to ask for some of the sides they will bring only if you ask. For example: Kimchi, rice paper, salad, etc. I guess they think most customers waste it so they dont serve it unless asked for. I was recommended this restaurant for its fresh food, delicious sauces, and exceptional service. I have to tell you it did not disappoint. My friends and I had a blast bonding over cooking, the ingredients were fresh quality, and dipping sauces and dressings were some I wanted to bottle up and take home of how delicious they were. I've been here a handful of times now mostly because it's close to my job and open until 1am which is awesome when you're like me and don't get off work until 9pm. The price for their AYCE is definitely overpriced for the amount of meat options. However, of their selections the brisket and beef ribs are good. The rest I could do without. Their salad that you may or may not have to asked over has lettuce and dressing and that's it. I realize greens are not what most would come for but it's important for me to have that balance. The service people are great though. Always nice and have a smile and very willing to fulfill our many refill requests. Great if you need something late night, but if it's regular dinner hours I highly recommend going elsewhere. read more
