EDIT: I did not expect to get a good response with a raw review of comparing the prices and listing out all the other competitors in the area but this is quite bad.. "Our coffee cup size is what Stumptown recommends for the most ideal coffee flavor and quality." You HAVE to be kidding me. This is the biggest BS I've read all month. "Working with Stumptown" is a weird way to say you buy coffee beans from their site. Yeah... I can do that too. Also the excuses about quality are funny to me because Cachi Cafe offers Stumptown coffee in 20oz cups and the flavor is almost identical to Hygge. Who do you think you are trying to fool? I mean, you tried but all you did was ruin your own image to me. Businesses cannot handle confrontation when the facts are shown to their faces. The coffee is good and is my type. HOWEVER, the amount you get is so little that it does not justify the price. If you are going to charge $6 for a coffee cup, you have to give more than a few sips. There is also no large cup option. Everything is one size which is a shame because their drinks are good. Their coffee is nice and strong with enough sweetness to balance out. I hope the owner can think about this more. There is a ton of coffee shops in this area. The competition is real and you can't be charging the same amount as other places which will give you more coffee and a similar or better taste. In addition, this is not some upscale area so it makes even less sense to overcharge on coffee. I am someone that has visited almost every coffee shop in this area and I don't feel any incentive to come back due to the size of the cups. I take note of the different sizes of cups that cafes will use and think about the pricing. They use Stumptown coffee at Hygge but guess what? Cachi Cafe also uses the same espresso but their pricing is way better. Near Hygge is Stereoscope and Smoking Tiger which also have good espressos. You can really tell the intention of a place by how fair the pricing is vs cost to make the items. Even the sandwiches here cost too much for what it costs to make it. They use regular sandwich bread but it will cost around $10. You want to make money but this is just wrong don't you think? read more

This new coffee house is serene, open, and calming. My husband and I are thrilled to have a coffee spot that is within walking distance! Today we tried the macchiato and an iced vanilla latte. The macchiato was strong and smooth -sooo good! It was a true macchiato so just know that the cup you receive is tiny but amazing! The latte was absolute perfection with creamy texture and rich vanilla. We were given a complimentary chocolate chip cookie and samples of the nitro cold brew with our beverages. (The cold brew was smooth & strong) This place reminds me of Scout Coffee in San Luis Obispo on the central coast There is plenty of seating and a few tables next to outlets. The whole space is clean and bright. This will definitely be our go to coffee spot. read more

Such a cute quaint coffee shop. Very clean inside. My rating is for the sandwiches only. I didn't get to try the coffee. It was after 1pm and they didn't have any stumptown on drip and do not do pour overs unfortunately. I wanted to try their lavender latte but I opted to get a boba tea somewhere else instead! I ordered the Bulgogi sandwich which looked delicious in the picture on yelp. But to me, it wasn't so good. Not sure what was up, but it just didn't do it for me. It was pieces of Bulgogi in between wheat toast with American cheese. I didn't think it was worth the $9 I paid. We also got the ham and cheese sandwich and it was average. Not worth the $9 again. I don't know what it is about Hygge (Hue-Gah) coffee, but I felt so relaxed, and peaceful being in that environment. I had one ear bud in so I could listen to the music they were playing, and my alpha waves in the other. I have been coming here for about two years now it's one of the best kept secrets of La Mirada. The gentleman here does an amazing iced Spanish Latte. This place is so adorableeeee!!! The couple working here are super sweet and you can tell that they love their cafe. They have flowers everywhere and soft music playing (beauty and the beast right now lol). They serve stumptown coffee and have smiths tea! Came in this morning after seeing this shop on Yelp. Located in a small shopping center along La mirada Blvd. Very nice interior with plenty of seating. Husband and I came in to grab a quick bite to go. Excellent and prompt customer service. Ordered the Ham and Sweet Potato mousse sandwich. It was very very good I definitely need to have this again. Not only was it instaworthy with the green from the lettuce and the nice shade of purple from the sweet potato mouse but it was different and delicious. Cold brew latte is also a win. Great americano and green tea latte. For the americano you can taste the espresso's flavor without much bitterness. Great shot. Also plenty of chairs and desks for studying. Update: I have been coming here every weekend now and I am constantly impressed by the quality of their drinks and their service. When you see an older couple working the cafe, usually it reminds you of the awful sugary powder drinks that takes no effort to create. But this place pulls shots of espresso you would expect from a highly respected establishment. Baristas know that no two shots are the same, and that even if two baristas used the same machine and same beans the shot could still taste completely different. This place has been consistently great at making their shots, testifying to their ability and know how in making great coffee. This place is like one of those japanese cafe shops owned by and older couple who live and breathe coffee that you would see on a youtube video. Never expected to see one here. Literally its a mom and pop cafe with hospitality you would expect from a 5 star hotel. Weird right? But the couple go out of their way to make you feel welcomed and comfortable. Ive worked at cafes where they instructed you to "encourage" (by cleaning their tables etc.) the customers to leave so that new customers could come sit down (more profit). But you will know what i mean when you come here and receive their hospitality. They want you to stay, be comfortable, and study to your heart's content. I have a feeling that this cafe will become one of those legendary coffee places that become immortalized by youtube. So first of all, I am not the type of person who writes reviews. I'll be honest with all ya'll, I am one of those silent types on Yelp. But...this will be one of those rare times where I break my silence. This cafe is superb! I feel like my fellow cafe explorers will agree, finding a perfect cafe for your needs is quite difficult. This is my second time coming to this cafe, and both times I have had a great time. This cafe is tucked away in a small plaza on the side of La Mirada Blvd. It's nestled in between a beauty shop and a Thai restaurant, in the same plaza as a Little Cesar's Pizza. The plaza has a private parking lot. Parking might be tight on busy days; however, I have never had a problem finding a parking spot. The cafe is run by a Korean couple, who does everything from taking orders and making the drinks and food items. They are both kind and very accommodating. Always greeting everyone with a smile and good cheer. The drinks are so good! Last time I had an iced dirty chai and today I'm drinking an iced lavender latte. Both times did not disappoint. (I'm writing this review while sipping my latte...when I should be working. That's how much I want to write this review) I'm a type of person who enjoys her coffee/latte where the coffee taste is more prominent and not as sweet. The dirty chai was so creamy and had enough kick from the spice. While the lavender latte is refreshing with a light hint of lavender. Quite a few times floral drinks can become overpowering, but this latte is just right. I'm so excited to try the other drinks on their menu. One thing to note is that it seems this cafe does more espresso forward/latte drinks rather than black coffee (pour over, etc). Inside the cafe is clean and quite spacious. Lots of tables and there are outlets everywhere, which is helpful for people like me who need her electronics to do work. There is free and fast Wi-fi. I had to do a conference call last time I was here and I did not have a problem once throughout the 2 hour call. There were others who were studying/using the wi-fi at the time, but the call did not drop nor lag. Background music is played, but it's not so loud where you cannot study nor keep a conversation going. Last time was jazz, this time is more pop. Who know's what it'll be next time! I'm kind of in a bind here. As much as I want to keep this place my secret and hidden gem, it's just too good to keep silent. Phew! I guess that's it..I should probably go back to work. read more

Noticed this coffee spot had 5 stars, so I thought I'd give it a try. This place definitely deserves all the stars it has. The interior of the place is aesthetically cute & clean, the person who took my order (I believe was the owner) was ver y sweet & making all the drinks for everyone in the cafe, taking orders, & gave good customer service to the people waiting to order. Definitely a hidden gem!! So excited this coffee shop opened so close to me! The interior is decorated very nicely, and always very clean. The gentleman and woman that are usually there (owners, I presume) are both welcoming and sweet. All of their drinks are made right in front of you, which is always appreciated. They have traditional favorites as well as a few new seasonal flavors like salted caramel and maple! I got an iced Salted Caramel Latte today, and its flavored perfectly.
