Love the aunties that work there. Always so friendly. The food is always amazing. Any time I'm craving lechon I take the drive across the island to come here. Delicious. Busy area but worth it.

This location of I Love Country Cafe is located at the Navy exchange food court which is open to the public. This location has been here for over ten years and I had thought this place had gone downhill when they reopened after the covid closure and I haven't come back in a couple of years until today. Today's turkey cobb salad was really good and highly recommended. The amount of turkey was generous and the salad was so large i split it into 2 meals. It comes with a hot freshly grilled piece of garlic bread. The speciality here is their mango dressing! The mango dressing is a little spicy but it's really good and i highly recommend! You can chose between ranch. italian, or mango dressing. The one odd thing is that usually cobb salad comes with bleu cheese, but they gave me cheddar cheese (which i actually prefer), the menu just says it comes with cheese but doesn't specify what kind, so you may want to ask when you order. They have an array of hot local specials, breakfast, and daily menu items. Their mango, banana, and other breads on the counter looked really good. I forgot to check out the dessert display on the side and I must try their dessert next time. I have found one of my new favorite lunch items here, the turkey cobb salad with mango dressing! I plan to try some other hot dishes in my next visit as well.

Beef brisket...it was okay. A little over cooked and dry. Big portions though.

Ordered the brisket plate with white rice and veggies. Pro: HUGE portions! Cons: Brisket was overcooked and dry. I asked for more BBQ to go and they said they charge extra for extra BBQ sauce. No thank you!! Won't be coming here again.

I thought I posted a story for this place already. But, incase I didn't, let me tell you, their stuffed chicken is to DIE FOR! It's so delicious and yummy it's NOT FUNNY! I totally recommend you to go in and try it! The plate was not only full but it had the most tastiest veggies and it was super hot and freshly made. Price is worth the buy, just be sure you have someone to share it with cause it's pretty huge.

    Yummy Portobello Mushroom Lasagna.

Glad I read the reviews, because the Portabella Mushroom Lasagna was delicious! Very tasty well seasoned sauce, presentation very nice. That the salad was served separately was appreciated. Garlic toast good. Great job. I enjoyed it so much I told my coworker and he tried it the next day and liked it, too. Highly recommend.

Located in the food court at the NEX. I ordered the loco moco and to be honest it is one of the best on the island! Portion sizes are giant! 2 large homemade hamburger patty's, grilled mushrooms and onions and so much gravy. It's enough to feed two grown adults. It fed me and my two kids and the absolutely devoured it. Everything is made to order so if you are short on time or want greasy fast food then go somewhere else. It is worth the 6-10 minutes wait if you ask me. They also have a large display of delicious cheesecakes. Go check them out!

Decided to pick up some dinner & was hungry for their kiawe steak salad. Been awhile since I've had this salad - pre-covid, but I remembered how much I loved it. Their menu is still pretty extensive even though they've cut it back some. To my disappointment, they no longer carried the kiawe steak salad but had a brisket salad($18.99) which was more pricier than the kiawe steak salad. I was on the fence about ordering it. I like brisket but there are very few places here that make it good without overcooking/burnt, or dried out. I decided to take a chance. I also ordered a seafood ramen for my hubby ($14.99). Customer service at this location is good. I had a gentleman that took my order & answered my questions. They cook everything to order here so expect to wait a few minutes. The food court itself wasn't busy since it was about 2'ish, after the lunch rush. My order soon came up & they pack your order in a clear plastic liner (aka small waste basket liner) at no extra charge. After getting my order out when I got home, what I saw were 3 huge pieces of brisket uncut. Almost thought I didn't get a salad. Lifted the meat, found the salad, which was more than half wilted by the hot brisket, WTF? There were lettuce greens, tomatoes, cucumbers, shredded cheese, & the avocado I paid $1.79 extra for. It wasn't much, about 1/4 cup. Did not enjoy this salad at all, & definitely was not worth what I paid for. They could have at least sliced/chopped the meat into bite-sized pieces. The brisket had lots of fat, pretty chewy because it was dry, & burnt edges. It for sure would have been given to my dog, if I still had one. Because there was so much fat, it made the salad more greasy/oily, adding to the soggy lettuce. My hubby thought the seafood ramen was meh. They use the thicker udon noodles. I should have asked them to place the broth in a separate container because by the time I got home, the thick noodles had absorbed most of the broth - my bad. Since I always have broth at home, heated some up to add to the soup. They do give a decent amount of shrimp & the fish used was a white fish. There were also other soup garnishes included. Overall, it'll be awhile before I come back. Their food has always been so-so except for the kiawe steak salad - bring it back! The item my hubby likes is their fried saimin. Not the best, but it is tasty.

Fettuccine Alfredo w/ shrimp, comes w/ garlic bread & tossed salad

Really good, plate was full & heavy also wish we could choose our own dressing for the salad though. Fettuccine Alfredo comes w/ garlic bread & tossed salad. You can get it w/ chicken or shrimp for an additional cost, I got mine with shrimp.

I love country cafe is located in the food court at the Navy Exchange Pearl Harbor Mall. I'm not much for food court food but this place honestly makes it 5 stars for a food court food :-) The food portions are good and the prices are decent. Personally the food is really good to me. I had the portabello mushroom lasagna and I have been back twice to get it because it is so good. Service with a piece of garlic bread and fresh side salad....it's really good. My friend had the bacon burger and really liked it. He said it is just like a homemade burger. He tried hamburger steak covered with brown gravy and he said it was REALLY delicious. He mentioned he tired the loco moco on another occasion and that was really delicious. You don't need military ID to eat in the food court....we highly recommend this restaurant and go enjoy the outdoor seating if you are in the area looking for a bite to eat. Thank you Evangeline for always taking care of us :-)

Located inside the NEX. I was recommended here while checking into the NGIS, and they did not disappoint! It's in the food court, and jet lagged me was so happy! The staff was extremely friendly as I didn't know what to order. Each bite took my breath away and was full of flavor. I was so full and it looked like I barely touched the food! I recommended it to all my junior sailors as they arrived after me and they've only had good things to say

Hubby, daughter and myself came here for lunch. Located inside the naval base in the food court. The only negative was there was limited tables to sit at. Luckily, I snagged a table before this guy took it. I sat at the table while hubby ordered my drink and food. He got me a large lilikoi drink and for my entree, he got me a pastrami sandwich with fries. The sandwich was filled with plenty of pastrami meat along with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and mayonnaise. The bread was of Texas toast which was grilled with butter. Oh my goodness. The fries were soft but melts in your mouth. Such a wonderful combination of flavors. To wash it down, I had the lilikoi drink which was ice cold and great with my meal. I was happy with what hubby got me. He knows me so well. I would come back to try other items on their menu but this was a great meal. So worth it!

He described everything with such care that it was hard not to order everything! I'd highly recommend a reservation as there was not an empty table the entire two hours we were there. The restaurant is on the smaller side so it can get quite loud but our table had great conversations and a overall lovely time. Appetizer: We ordered the konpachi hush puppies (apologies, they had a nicer name but this is how they were described to us) and they were delicious! I'm not a lover of fish, but these were so flavorful and the sauce paired perfectly with it. Drinks: I had the meringue di cedri to drink and it was akin to a lemon drop (10/10) it was sippable and lasted my whole meal. Husband had the Hana Koa Rice Breaker, which is one of his favorites as its smooth and pairs well with honestly anything. Entree: You will be missing out if you don't get the lemon risotto. I ordered it with the prosciutto and it may be one of the best meals I've had in Hawaii. The zucchini is done two ways in it: diced to be mixed in with the risotto and thinly sliced and grilled on top of the risotto. The panko crumbs on top really solidified the plate for me as top tier as risotto can get to be boring to eat after a few bites as they can lack texture, but not this risotto! Every bite was a journey and it was a very filling meal. My husband ordered the Korean steak and said it was better than some of the local steakhouses we had gone to. Our friend ordered the spaghetti carbonara and enjoyed it as well. Dessert: We were encouraged to try the Rocky Road ice cream and decided it was a must have when you visit. It was creamy, rich and delectable. We also opted to try the dessert special of the evening which was a Lilikoi cheesecake with a chocolate mousse. The cheesecake had a sour tang to it and the chocolate mousse partner with it to balance it out so it wasn't overly sweet. We loved it and I know in a few days we'll be craving this meal all over again!

France meets Italy - meets Hawaii. I'm still dreaming of this. The burger features a thick, juicy, 8-ounce grass-fed patty made from a custom house-selected blend of short rib, chuck roast, and brisket. Get it with the crispy potatoes. You will thank me. Risotto on point. Luxuriously rich, creamy texture. The rice retains a slight al dente bite in the center, giving it structure rather than letting it become mushy. Prosciutto adds a perfect salty, savory crunch to break up the rich risotto. The only misstep was the fries served with the quinoa burger. They were chalky, served at room temperature, limp, and underseasoned. Excellent friendly informal service. Park at the municipal parking on Bethel St just 1/2 block away. Happy Eating!!

Honey drizzle which wasn't too sweet...or maybe I just ate the parts that didn't have. Baby ate almost 1.5 pieces and even liked the Jalapeno Butter that I just dabbed on her bread. She said wasn't spicy but think she just didn't have enough. - Bone Marrow - lit it on fire to burn off the alcohol. Pretty sure it ddin't get it all so I cut baby off once I realized it. The smoked octopus was sliced in pieces that were too thick and a little too chewy and the andouille sausage and black pepper overpowered the dish. Ordered the bourbon and bone marrow mostly for the presentation. It was WAAAY too rich and needed more bread to go with it. They should've served it with bread that wasn't buttered because the buttered bread even though tasty by itself was just too rich in combination with all of that bone marrow. The dish needed more balance. The ice cream sundae was unremarkable. Would have preferred it served with a choice of hot fudge or the caramel drizzle and since it was plain vanilla ice cream they could've drizzled a lot more caramel over it. The waitress did bring us more nuts when we asked, but they were busy at the time and she was the only server so it took her a while to get to us, and the ice cream was pretty melted by the time she delivered. We got there when they opened at 5 PM and they had two servers at that time. The place wasn't busy so it seemed like they had enough help for the amount of tables that were being seated. An hour and a half later, though, one server was missing (possibly taking a lunch break) and the only server remaining at several big parties to take care of which slowed down her responsiveness to the other smaller tables like ours. The music playing in the background seemed to fit the environment and was pleasant to listen to. It's a pretty casual atmosphere. The prices for what you get are a bit on the high end. Probably wouldn't go back unless someone else is paying. We didn't feel too bad this time because we had a gift certificate which covered most of our bill. Maybe we were choosing all the wrong items and should have just stuck to ordering meat dishes, which they might be better at making (with a name like Livestock). You'll have to check this place out yourself and see if they do a better job with meat and if the prices for those dishes are more reasonable. I gave this place four stars instead of three because the servers were friendly, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the food was mostly okay (tasty enough and filling).

The servers were curt but friendly, likely because the place was packed with tourists.

It was so sad this business is closing down by Oct 31st. With rising food costs, inflation and…read morestaffing, it's understandable but I wish best endeavors for Chef Jason Peel and his staff. My fiance won a gift card actually 2 of them (from his coworker whom could not get a reservation secured), we knew we had to make the trip over before they officially close. We had multiple dishes, but staff made Kauai prawns and tomato miso black cod dishes on the house since they ran out the Hokkaido scallops. We ordered the short ribs, lobster appetizer, hamachi crudo and lastly sashimi moriawase to finish food palate. Lukki lemon dessert was great way to end to night. Ordered the Milk tea bouquet cocktail while my better half had water ( either way the food coma knock him out cold the rest of the night lol). To be honest, it was difficult to determine which dish was the best because the staff kept quality there despite it being busy every night since they announce the closure. Sashimi moriawase, fish was so fresh, reminded me of my time spent in Hokkaido and Sapporo. Short ribs was soft and rich in flavor. Both me and my fiance liked the lukki lemon dessert, like lemon meringue pie but broken down version. If you have a chance to dine here before closing and got a reservation, definitely will have a lovely dining experience and your stomach will be full by end of the night.

The staff were friendly and very helpful with giving us recommendations. We ordered 3 appetizers and 2 entrees, and honestly it was too much food for us. We had leftovers for breakfast the next day! - For appetizers we got: Ulu Tots, Japanese Eggplant, and Corn Beignets. The Corn Beignets was the best. - For entree we got: Tomato Miso Black Cod and the Short Rib. Both were delicious and worth a try. Sad to see that this restaurant appears to be closing.
