I wanted to try the OG banana cream pie but it wasn't available on the day that I visited (make sure you call ahead to know which pie varieties are available at the time). I grabbed a black-bottom banana cream pie instead; along with the banana cream there's a layer of chocolate ganache. The pie was decent. The ganache overpowers the light banana cream. Also, the crust is a bit on the bland side. On the plus side, the banana cream was delightful and complemented well with the whipped topping. I don't usually eat dessert for breakfast but when I do, it's a whole small pie from I Love Pie Bakeshop ;) My son was turning 12 and he is not a fan of cake! His absolute favorite is pumpkin pie which is great except he was born in January and not October or November so I decided to see if I could get one made. Yep. I can and I did. While I was there picking up the picture perfect pumpkin pie I also grabbed a small milk and cookies pie. Let me tell you , BOTH were incredible. The crust is absolutely perfect. I preordered some pie with no expectations and man was I BLOWN AWAY! Totally worth the drive and price, the pies are worth EVERY CENT! I ate the 6in key lime pie first and the size is honestly perfect for one person lol. The crust was absolutely PHENOMENAL! It was so buttery and flakey. The key lime filling was so smooth and had a nice tartness. I fell in love. I didn't plan on eating it all in one day, but oops. They also had some hand pies on sale as well if you want something even more personal sized. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Preordering online was an absolute breeze. The interior is quite unique as well, I was a bit lost outside. But when you go to the building the left side is where the store front is located. The building had a collection of various store fronts but the pie shop is quite noticeable after entering the left side of the building. Drove over 1/2 hour from Roseville, was totally disappointed. Cute name, but that's about it.. Because I really love pies. Super difficult to find within the shopping center. Walked up to the shop a minuscule selection, probably only 7 or 8 pies. With limited choices, decided on a chocolate crust berry pie which I'd never heard of before asked if we could sit in one of the seats over with a cute little table, and workers behind the counter said no. Even if we went to the common area with tables, they couldn't even provide us with forks. Went to the gelato place 5 stars amazing. Tried this yummy pie after following on Instagram for awhile...so good! Blows doors on the standard grocery store commercial type pies. I'm very fussy about the crust and usually don't eat that part of the pie. Don't skip the crisp buttery fluted crust! It is really good. The salted caramel apple is #1 for a reason! Adorable little pie shop with just some super solid, tasty, delicious, homey pies. You can buy pies as a whole (which is perfect for the holidays!) or if available, you can purchase multiple different slices and have a taste of multitude of pie offerings that they have. Mini pies are sometimes on the menu as well which is so cute, as well as convenient. This is also one of the only dessert places I have come across that does a Banana Cream Pie and that goes far in my book! It's so tasty! Also highly recommend their Chocolate Cream/Chocolate Coconut Cream Pie. They do seem to operate with the seasons so make sure to check out their online menu for the latest offerings! Saw the stand for this shop at the Farmer's Market, but they had sold out already so I decided to go to the store instead. The inside is small with little seating (currently not able to use), but the decor was really cute and inviting. The staff was very nice and helpful when describing their pies. I got a slice of the dutch caramel apple pie and it was a good-sized piece with a great amount of filling and topping. The bourbon pecan and honey walnut are really excellent (I am a bit of a pecan pie snob). I read about this place in the local paper and you know I love pies, mostly apple, so I decided to head over here, before leaving town back up to Red Bluff. I got an apple pie, $22 bucks for and 8 inch across pie. That size seems a little on the small size, I mean it didn't need to be Costco sized, but I thought I'd get a little bigger pie for that price. I thought, this pie better be one of the best pies I ever tasted! Getting home, I debated heating it or not or if the microwave would change the pie at all. Well, I just decided to have it at room temp so I can't blame the microwave. Hmmm. well, it's decent, I liked the crust, but there wasn't any fantastic reaction to make my feet do the happy dance under the table or anything. I'd say it's a decent pie, of course better than anything frozen, but I'm not sure it's worth the premium pricing. Maybe if it was bigger. Say cut in 6th's, each piece isn't very generous for guests. I heard about I Love Pie thru Instagram and it has been on my list of places to try! They did not disappoint. I bought 3 mini pies for us to share - salted caramel Dutch apple, coconut cream and the milk & cookies pie. The crust on all of the pies was amazing, super buttery and flaky and the pies were not overly sweet. I did wish the coconut cream had just a little more coconut filling, but it was still a delicious pie. I called when they opened to put the pies on hold since I know they sell out sometimes, overall it was a pleasant experience with the staff and the shop was clean. I read some of the complaints about the price point, but these are not factory made grocery store pies filled with preservatives to increase shelf life, you're paying for quality over quantity. read more

Was. Delicious. I tried the bourbon pecan and banana cream. Hands down, some of the best pie I've had. Everyone who joined in the festivities indulged in these amazing creations and raved about how fast they were. A couple folks tried each flavor and said they were all really good. Our colleague who went to pick the pies up purchased his own slice of key lime and said it was super good! I'm pretty picky about pie crusts.. these ones are super good. The flavor is so yummy, even one of our colleagues who doesn't normally eat crust did not let it go to waste. The crust is a bit thick so just be prepared to cut it with something more sturdy than a plastic knife ;) I've been hearing out these pies since before the brick & mortar opened, and I'm so glad to have finally tried them. Do I love pie? No. Do I like pie? Sure I do! I needed dessert to take to my sister in laws for 4th of July. I yelped pie and found this little gem. It's a little hidden in a random shopping plaza. It was a couple hours before closing and they only had a few choices in pie. The worker who helped me said their plum raspberry pie was the most popular pie sold that day. Plum raspberry?! What?! I was skeptical but my husband said sure why not?! Oh my goodness, it was delicious! The crust was perfectly made and crispy, and buttery. I love pies!!! :) so excited to see this shop on my Yelp email. It took us a few rounds to find it, they don't have their big sign up yet, so keep your eyes open. So, I have never had their pies before, and was a bit surprised at the the price of $5.50 for a slice, or $22 for a small pie. I know they are hand made, and honestly had a hard time deciding between the banana cream, peach, or just out of the oven blueberry pie. I was going to buy 3 different slices, but my husband, who has a sweet tooth, looked at the size of the slices and panicked. So I bought a whole peach pie. The pie was excellent. The crust with the extra sugar was a bit sweet for me personally, but my two guys loved it. I loved that the filling was not overly sweetened, but that the natural sweetness of the peaches came out.
