I paid the labor and parts part of this installation which included them exchanging the unit to Home Depot, new lines and drip pan. The labor price was comparable to any others who offered the installation only part. The installer, Jordan ( I hope I got his name right) was amazing and incredibly professional and knowledgeable. He also answered extra questions I had about another water related issue. If I have a need for plumbing service, this locally owned and operated company will be the first people I call. So that came up to $120, ok , fine. The guy who barely speaks English, has no idea what I'm telling him, just informed me it's gonna be $200 to top off the freon in the downstairs unit! And my ACs are almost brand new! So this visit is costing me $320! So disappointed, we used them for almost 8 years, and all of a sudden things went downhill.

I connected with Jason originally when dealing with a toilet leak. They were able to resolve the issue quickly and efficiently, and bonus points for being kind to my dog! Several months later, I had questions about updating a main line valve. Jason answered all of my questions and explained things to me in layman's terms so I felt confident I understood what was being done and how the plumbing would operate. When Jason came out for the appointment that week, he arrived on time and made the update for me (and left me with a bonus pressure gauge since I didn't have one). That day, I asked if he could come up with an invoice for another upgrade I was considering and he obliged. That next week, he came back and completed project that was on my "to do" list for months! To my dismay, a couple days later, I noticed something had gone wrong that could be related to the upgrade he did. I texted him thinking it could be related but also communicated I was unsure. For anyone who's owned or lived in a home, you know that plumbing troubles are surely to sprout up here and there. West Plumbing has helped us navigate through both basic and complex issues. From something as simple as reconnecting a toilet handle to addressing a leaking upstairs pipe. They're great at diagnosing and explaining the problem, followed by fixing it and offering creative preventative ideas for the future. One time, our shower handle broke off mid-stream and the water wouldn't turn off. It was late at night, so I had to turn the water off to the whole house. We asked a good handyman friend to come by that night, but together couldn't figure out how to pull out the handle mechanism. So, we called West. They came out the next day and fixed it in less than 30 minutes. Voilá! Often for home repair, we'll work directly with our Home Warranty. The downside there is that you're at the mercy of whoever is contracted with that service, and the quality of the workmanship is inconsistent. While it can be cheaper to go through a warranty, or shop around on price, you run the risk of a poor job, or requiring several visits and second opinions. We couldn't use the toilet, sinks, shower or washer. We had to move out for a short time because it was not livable in that condition. I called a different plumber and they came out and it did not help at all. In fact, it seemed the problem got worse. I called them back and they refused to come back and said they were absolutely sure it was a city issue. I called the city and they came out and said it's a plumbing issue. I started calling every plumber I could find a number for and NO ONE answered. I left messages with every single one of them and to this day, I still never received a call back. I felt defeated. I cried, I prayed, I cried some more, then I got a hold of a friend and asked him if he knew of any plumber that would actually answer the phone and he told me to call Erik at CTR Plumbing. I called and he ACTUALLY ANSWERED even though he was in the middle of cooking dinner. I told him what was going on and I literally cried on the phone because I felt so defeated and he was literally my last hope. Erik reassured me that he will find the problem and will be able to confirm if it's my responsibility or the city and fix it if it's my responsibility. Today, he came out leaving his family plans behind to help me. Erik found the issue and actually fixed it. He used his snake and camera equipment to find the issue. There was a really bad clog 36 feet in. He was able to clear the clog and he noticed a lot of build up throughout the entire line. He then scrapped the entire line from my house to the city main line and cleared it out Including the clog. Erik worked 6 hours on this crazy weekend job to make sure it was done and done correctly. From beginning to end, Erik would stop and show me on his screen what each issue was and explained everything in detail. I saw with my own eyes what was going on in the sewer line. If he sees something that is a city issue he video records it, takes pictures and will contact them. Erik shows proof and educates you. After he was done, he recorded a video of the line showing the cleared line and he showed it to me. The difference between the before and after is mind boggling. That sewer line was in horrible shape before the clean out! I am forever grateful for Erik! He is literally a godsend, miracle and answer to my defeated tearful prayers! Erik has a lot of knowledge and experience and he is a genuine honest man. If you need plumbing help at your residence, please call Erik with CTR Plumbing. You WILL NOT regret it. He will get the job done and he will do it correctly. My only regret is that I didn't call him sooner. He will forever be my #1 go to from now on.
