Once I walked in there was cute posters in there as well as nice lights. This place is mainly a boba shop with lots of snacks. Not being much of a boba person I got to try the snacks with my friend instead. Ended up trying: *takoyaki: yum, yum and yum! For a pretty decent price this place makes bomb takoyaki balls. Crispy on the outside and soft and doughy on the inside. Feel like the octopus portion is also pretty good. *Seasoned curly fries: these yummy crispy fries are drizzled in sauce with some seaweed flakes and I must say these were divine as well. I am probably in the minority of people that order a hot beverage from i-Tea. Last time my HOT Okinawa Milk Tea leaked out from under the lid a little. Seemed like a new cup/lid design. I decided to let it go as a one off. Today, I got my usual HOT Okinawa Milk Tea order and noticed the lid was a see through clear lid this time. Well, it was not a little leak this time. I was driving on Capital Expressway and Aborn which are paved roads and the tea was spilling out from under the lid. I managed to contain the spill within my cup holder by quickly grabbing napkins to soak up the tea as it spewed out so did not seem any of the tea spilled onto the console buttons next to the cup holder. That $4.75 tea could have turned into $2000+ electrical car repair. What a mess I had to clean up when I got home. It seems i-Tea changed their hot beverage cup/lid design yet again. I won't be going back for my favorite hot beverage again - very disappointing and inexcusable to have a crappy cup/lid since their main business is beverages! I always go to itea for boba and snacks. I have never had any problems with my order until today when i realized half way into my drink that there's a fly inside To make matters worse, it's still alive I've read reviews back then about how unsanitary the food and drinks there are because of maggots in popcorn chicken and bugs in drink/toppings but I chose to ignore it and gave them the benefit of the doubt and continued to support the business but today I am completely grossed out and itll probably take a VERY LONG time for me to consider orderin from iTEA ever again. The cashier was also very apologetic and very nice about it when he review my order with me before giving me my refund. He also very kindly offered me something to drink and I nicely declined. Love this place! They have a huge menu here and many of their drinks come with toppings included in the price, they also offer a couple non dairy milk options for a fee and you're able to modify sweetness and ice free of charge. It's usually a little loud in here so it's hard for me to hear but everyone I've ordered from is always so sweet and glad to clarify things with me. This was my first time trying the food here it took about 10 minutes for my seasoned fries to come out and was very filling just really salty in my opinion. My friend got the popcorn chicken which was really tasty and had the smallest kick to it along with pieces of garlic. A nice thing you'll notice before walking in is that they have pictures of about 20 of their most popular drinks in the front of the store so it really helps you make a choice if you're a more visual person. You can tell customer service is a priority here. Lately I've been getting the taro milk tea(comes w/boba pearls and taro bits) with 30% sweetness. On one occasion I felt that my drink tasted a little more milky rather than taro-y and the workers remade me a new drink with no problem or attitude, regardless of their long line. Honestly I thought the workers were gonna mug me because that's what I would've done, but they were really nice about it and on my way out they checked to make sure that I was satisfied, great customer service! The remake was on point :-) As for snacks, my best friend and I both agreed that their popcorn chicken is really good, probably the best I've ever tried at a boba joint. Came here a while after it's grand opening and got their Basil Popcorn Chicken, Okinawa Milk Tea with boba and Loaded Fries. I also tried their fried short rib bao. One thing I can stress is that their portions are so, so generous here. Their popcorn chicken is a must! Large chunks of actual chicken that fill a small box with basil and actual cloves of raw garlic. The fries topped with cheese and bacon are just okay, I would pass on that one. The fried short rib bao was an interesting idea, but not really for me. The bao has a thin layer with a panko exterior, a good amount of short rib and drizzled with mayo and sriracha. If anything, the main flavor coming from this bun was the sriracha and sweetness from the bao or whatever was used to cook the meat. Plus, the price for one bao is a little bit much but then again I didn't think it was worth ordering. Their milk teas are okay, boba soft and well cooked. I usually get less sweet and found the sweetness to be similar to other shops. Service has been good for me here. I had an issue with my food and management quickly resolved the issue. On the weekends I have this weird craving for i-Tea. There is something about their basil garlic popcorn chicken and their mango sago that just makes me feel very satisfied. Their popcorn chicken is big and juicy and perfectly spiced. You can ask them for more extra basil but it will cost you an extra dollar. I really like the fact that they give you a large portion for an order of their popcorn chicken. Their mango sago is my favorite drink there. It has chunks of mango inside and is so refreshing. Other things that I love at i-Tea includes the short rib bao, panda milk tea and the chicken wings. I was pretty excited when I heard about i-Tea coming to SJ! Being able to get boba AND amazing food items - sounds pretty ideal, right? The concept is good, and their execution is on point. I finally was able to visit these guys a few times last week; their line was decently long but not insanely long so I thought I'd give them a try. They are pretty efficient, so I was only in line for 6-7 minutes. I ordered an Okinawa Milk Tea with coffee jelly and a Strawberry Fruit Tea with boba. I wasn't sure what to expect of the Okinawa but it was actually pretty good! The fruit tea was a little too sweet, but I will adjust the sweetness on my next visit. I also tried their Kamikaze Wings, Short Rib Taco, and Short Rib Over Rice. The wings were perfectly cooked, and their secret sauce is impressive. There was a line to order (as with other i-Tea locations), but that was good for people who don't know what to order and can study the menu on the right wall. I ordered the Hokkaido Milk Tea ($4.25) since this was my baseline for i-Tea. I was going to order the Basil Popcorn Chicken but decided not to even though it sounded good. My friends ordered other drinks that I don't remember. It took a while for our drinks to come out, but that was normal considering how many people were before us. The Hokkaido Milk Tea tasted good and just like the other locations I've been to. The pearls were soft and chewy and the egg pudding was good. Straws, utensils, napkins, and seasonings are self serve. Games such as Jenga is available for those who want to hang around and mingle. So far I've tried.. SEASONED CURLY FRIES $5.95 -super crispy curly fries with takoyaki sauce and mayo, sprinkled with seaweed flakes. Basically the same sauce combo you would get over takoyaki. Eat this fresh! Once it gets cold and the sauce softens the fries, it's no longer good. My favorite parts are the sauce covered curlys! I was surprised at how fast and efficient the staff was. I had low expectations of the tea and service because they were new, but nope! They did a great job on moving the orders out fast! I've tried other I-tea locations but this was my first time going to this one. I have to admit that I had high expectations but came out more so disappointed. First off, the i-jelly series don't include jellies in their drinks. What?! Misleading right. If you ask for grass jelly as a topping they give you one big fat goop and leave it up to you to hash out. Why can't they just cut it up like regular places do? They have various games (Connect 4) and I can see where this could be a fun place to hang out, however the customers here are ridiculously loud! The oolong milk tea was delicious! Better than a lot of places I've been too! The basil fried chicken is pretty spicy but according to my friend who frequents here pretty often, the consistency of the order varies. Sometimes they make it too spicy and sometimes you get less chicken pieces and sometimes get more. It was delicious with wilted basil and giant chunks of garlic! And the chicken was very moist! It seems to always be decently crowded every night. The meaty basil popcorn chicken is so good and I also like their heavy portion of bacon and cheese fries. The bao's and takoyaki seem popular but I haven't tried them yet. I love the Oreo black tea shake, and I recommend the matcha red bean shake as well. The rose milk tea here isn't as great. I know I know I've already reviewed the i-Tea in Newark but this location has now trumped that location and the Milpitas location and I must give them their praises. This location is fairly new and the way that it is run you would think they've been around for months. All of the staff are very friendly and will help you make any food or drink decisions, they are fast and efficient and they may often walk your food or drinks to you instead of you having to cut through the line to pick them up at the counter. Now that's what I call great customer service. BTW if your drink is not to your liking they will gladly remake it for you as well. This i-Tea is always busy no matter what time of day, there is almost always a line to the door every time that I have been here at least. What I like most about this location is the fact that they have a nice variety of food items here and they make the drinks better in my opinion. Keep in mind that i-Tea is a franchise so all locations don't have the same drinks and food. My go to drink here of course is the Strawberry Fruit Tea sans the boba with mango jelly added and it's always made to perfection. I find it hard to venture out and try their other drinks because this one is so good. The food here is also very good, they have a variety of chicken wings, short rib dishes, loaded fries and some other dishes. I guarantee once you either see the pics on the menu or see someone eating you will definitely end up ordering food. I tried the soy chicken wings and they were amazing, sweet, sticky, crunchy and fresh. I would so prefer these wings over Buffalo Wild Wings (and ya'll know I love BWW). I definitely would order these wings again and I'm going to try their other different varieties as well. I also tried their short rib over rice and it was ok, I expected the meat to be a little more tender and have a little more flavor but it wasn't bad. This review is based on what i heard last night. I witnessed the employees at this location talk bad about a couple that ordered in front of me at the register. Let me explain: There were 2 people (both heavy set), who ordered 6 drinks. When It was my turn to order at the register, i saw a gentlemem (an asian worker), whisper softly to the asian lady who was ringing up customers at the register. I did not make out what he said, but the lady at the regaister replied "They could have a big family or they are probably ordering for other people". I'm pretty sure the asian guy was talking crap about the heavy set people, stereotyling them and wondering why 2 people would order 6 drinks.. This made me really upset because i didnt know there was a limit on how many drinks "a person" or 2+ people can order.. HELLO you have a business to run and you need to treat people fairly and STOP prejudging someone based on their size!!! or your hoing to loose valuable and loyal customers. I really had to post this because this encounter did not sit with me at all and peopl need to hear about what type of employee/s are working at their business.. Don't get me wrong I LOVE ITEA and i go to this location because they make my drinks right (unlike other locations).. This is my current "go to" spot for tea right now. I've been making my way through their menu and have not been disappointed so far. My favorites are any of the fruit teas with 30% sugar and 30% ice. I came here on a Friday night in hopes to finally try the ramen. We came around 7pm and it was pretty empty. We lucked out because they didn't serve ramen and they didn't have the oh-so-popular mango sago as the other locations offered. Bummer. We did end up ordering other food and drinks: Bacon Parmesan fries (5 stars): Huge portion size. Fries are nice and crispy and that parmesan cheese is just heavenly. A good amount of bacon to top it off as well. Short rib bao (3.5 stars): The deep fried bun was topped with cabbage, short rib, mayo, sriracha, and cilantro. I was disappointed of how small the baos were. I wish they were a little bigger and the meat had more marination. The mayo and Sriracha sauce went well with the bun. I found the bao to be somewhat bland and not very flavorful. I'll pass next time. Popcorn chicken (4.5 stars): The chicken came out hot and crispy. It didn't come with enough chili seasoning though. Good portion size. Matcha milk tea with red bean and matcha pudding (5 stars): I've found the best matcha milk tea! It wasn't too sweet and it wasn't bland at all. Red bean topping was perfect with it. And the green tea pudding was tasty as well. They really did not skimp on the toppings which I really appreciate! Milk tea here is solid. Service is fast and food came out within 7 or 8 minutes. Workers are friendly. They have boardgames and large tv screens. The place is really clean and spacious. Plenty of parking outside. I would definitely come back for milk tea and some snacks. read more

I-tea? More like I (LOVE) tea. Ok that was really lame lol. Anyways, this place is inviting & good for groups. The decor is very aesthetic & cute. The menu itself can be a bit overwhelming but hey, who doesn't love having options? They also have food!! I came in wanting to get a drink but when I saw someone had order fries with bacon bits & cheese, I knew I had to order it. It looked so damn good. My tea drink + fries was $10. It made me so full afterwards. Drinks were made pretty quickly.. so quickly that they made a mistake on my drink. I went back to let them know & they were apologetic & made me another one. They also told me to keep the mistake drink... wow thanks! This was very nice of them. Service A+. Will be back to try something different. read more
