(starting to crave some right now heh) Also i-Tea wins 1st place for best popcorn chicken for a boba shop imo!! best breading, good amount of chicken meat, and comes with garlic cloves & basil yummm! For boba, they're known for the black tea oreo smoothie/frosty -- definitely try this if you haven't already, super unique and original. Overall, their boba drinks are pretty solid especially their milk teas. My favorite tea shop for Earl Grey. The employees encouraged social distancing. They had plexiglass when ordering and wore masks and gloves. The tea itself had the right balance of tea with sweetness from the syrup. At 80%, I find it not overbearing and delicious. I usually get less boba, since regular amount is a bit too much for me. When we went, there was a line so it took a while to get through, but I eventually got my drink and was ready to be taken back... It was okay. Maybe I should check when mango season is because the drink was super lackluster. Service was okay, nothing really friendly or personable. Prices are competitive. Mango Sago at the Milpitas location was my go to but this place doesn't live up to the name. Mango sago here isn't good. It's watery and sweet filled with mushy sago and sour mango bits. And it's suppose to be Mango season. I've been here several times to try different things but none of the drinks stand out. Flavor and quality is just not there. After shopping, I needed some caffeine. I was nearby, so decided to stop by i-tea. I got here on Saturday, March 30th around 6pm. I ended up getting an A9 Roasted Oolong ($3.25): add Boba (+$0.50), Egg pudding (+$0.50), Grass jelly (+$0.50). I've been to many itea locations and I normally get the same toppings. (Sometimes I'll switch up the tea.) This was consistent with the other boba teas I've had. The tea strength was good. The balls soft with a nice chew. The grass jelly herby and silky. The pudding rich and smooth. The toppings added the perfect amount of sweetness for me as I always get my tea with no sugar. This location is relatively popular, so there was a good amount of people in line. Though it didn't take too long. Maybe a little more than 15 mins from the time I got in line to the time I got my tea. Fulfilled my boba tea craving. read more

This place used to be one of my favorite boba tea place. Since the pandemic, the quality and service have gone down. Quality if the tea are not consistency. I prefer less sweet (25% sugar) tea, and it's usually not the same depending on who's making it. Overall, this place needs to train the staffs better. Customer service here is also terrible. Before pandemic, there was usually long line and the staffs (even owner) were not very friendly to customers. Now, it's not as busy, and staffs are still rude. For example, during one visit, they mixed up one of the toppings (peach popping boba with strawberry popping boba), which made the drink very sweet and tasted differently. I came back and talked to the person who took my order. Instead being sincere and apologetic about the mixed up, she just coldly said "we ran out of peach popping boba". Really? This should have been communicated with customer and not switched quietly. There are many tea places in the area. This won't be on my list regular visit. read more

My usual orders are the Parmesan Truffle Fries, Aged Takoyaki, or the Short Rib Baos. They have a lot of great options to choose from. Everything is very flavorful, but it does tend to take a little while to come from the kitchen. When it comes to their drinks, I'm not a huge fan. Their menu is HUGE and they have so many options, but it gets really hard to choose. I've gotten a good mix of their drinks and the best ones I've gotten are the Hokkaido Milk Tea and the Pomelo Green Tea. I can never go wrong with those two - everything else is a hit or miss. The consitency in their drinks is pretty bad. Sometimes a drink like the Mango Pudding hits the spot perfectly, but other times it's watered down or has no taste. read more

Takes me back to when Quickly was the only milk tea store around and I'd always order the popcorn chicken. The fried batter on the basil chicken at i-Tea is well seasoned, crispy on the outside and tender white meat on the inside. I always love the snack here. Their drinks can be a hit or miss, but snack can never go wrong. My favorite snack at i-Tea changed over time, but the best ones are always Takoyaki, soy wings, egg tofu, and curly fries. I love how they put big chunk of octopus in Takoyaki and they are not shy with seasoning and sauce. The tofu is soft, creamy, and paired well with the sauce. The wings are big, crispy and falorful. Prices are decent for the portion they give. Their Okinawa drink has been improved by a lot. It is not overly sweet like before. Before COVID, this was a good spot to come hang out with friends and family as it was pretty spacious and the music was not too loud. I'm not sure why I haven't written a review yet, but this i-Tea is most def my favorite boba shop in san jeezy! I'm a huuuge fan of tea and you can definitely taste the tea in the drinks here. I don't believe in places that taste like straight up syrup in water... I'm sure you know which places I'm referring to. Drinks I recommend at i-Tea: oolong milk tea (50/50), taro milk tea (50/50), matcha frosty (50% sugar, no red bean), black tea oreo (50% sugar, no whip). Though I generally opt for crystal boba because it's less calories and it's harder to mess up the crystal boba than regular boba, the regular boba here is ALWAYS on point. I've never come here and had over/under-cooked boba. It also helps that their shop is always busy so they're probably making boba all day. Be sure to sign up for their five star loyalty program! I've only ever tried the popcorn chicken and takoyaki here, but their snacks don't disappoint either. On top of that, service is always quick and fast, even if they have a full house. The shop is well-lit (which is a huuuuge plus) and they have a ton of seating for you to catch up with friend while playing some of their board games. :') TLDR - I'm loyal af to i-tea. read more

Sucks that I moved away like 2 years ago but it's close enough to the 101 that I can make a detour occasionally. I always get the strawberry mango fruit tea w 50% sugar bc their fruit drinks run on the sweet side. And I love their soy wings - pre covid, when I was working nearby, I used to swing by and grab their wings for lunch. Employees are friendly. Parking is super easy. They've always offered contactless payment options and made it a point to wipe down the sticky boba cups before handing it to you. For covid precautions, they've added plexiglass. Drinks come out in a timely manner... but this place can get BUSY, and I've had to wait nearly 30 min before during peak hours (poor planning on my behalf). So plan ahead! The biggest game changer for me is that itea has been offering online ordering thru farebites!!! Super easy to make an account. This is one of my favorite tea shops. Super authentic drinks and also great food. The last time I went, I got the Oolong Milk Tea with Boba. It was so amazing when I drank it. The boba was still super warm in the first few sips. It was freshly made. The boba was soft and chewy. Great boba. Was not hard or tough to chew. It's just regular boba that is great. Honestly, I have been more into honey boba, but I am not sure if they have it here. The tea itself was really good. I enjoyed the Oolong milk tea a lot. Pretty sure I finished it in like 5 minutes. I decided to order the Jasmine Green Milk Tea with boba. My drink tasted like how it should so I'm happy with that! We also got popcorn chicken on the side. The popcorn chicken tasted alright. What a treat! If you've never tried Taiwanese delights, I highly recommend giving this place a go. Litchi Green Tea || $4.25 Fresh and fruity green tea with bits of litchi, boba, and litchi jelly! The green tea is smooth and flavorful. Love how there's no artificial syrups or weird aftertastes that often accompany "fruit teas" from other shops. Pineapple Fruit Tea || $4.25 Tangy fruit tea with a hint of pineapple! Comes with pineapple jelly and boba. The tea is strong and edging on almost bitter without being bitter. If you like strong fruity tea, give this one a try. Hokkaido Milk Tea || $4.50 Comes with boba and pudding! I replaced the egg pudding with mango pudding. 30% sweetness + no ice = :) This drink has a reminiscent coffee taste due to the creamer and thicker consistency than normal milk tea. Nice alternative to house milk tea. Taro Milk Tea || $3.95 Comes with a generous portion of boba with a perfect chew :) All I can say for this drink is YUMMM. 30% sweetness and no ice is HEAVEN. Since fresh taro is used, the heavier minced taro pieces might settle at the bottom of the drink. Just give your straw a whirl and you're all good again. I'm pleasantly surprised by how smooth and joyfully mellow the drink is. The taste truly tastes like something I'd pick up from a cafe in Taiwan. Authenticity? Super check! Usually when I get taro drinks from other boba shops, they use weird artificial syrups, flavoring, and coloring. Here, you can absolutely tell that real ingredients are used. Hallalujah, I have found a new go-to for taro milk tea :D Will be back to try their other snacks and goodies. read more

Wasn't planning to write a review after coming here on Friday, but 5 stars to the worker who asked if I wanted to get my drinks replaced after another customer accidentally grabbed my order of drinks (not pictured). In the midst of the pandemic, I am so grateful for her quick reaction and thoughtfulness. I didn't end up getting my drinks replaced because I didn't see it as much of a big deal and the customer only touched the outside of the bag. All the drinks were in a bag. It's lightly sweet with almost a roasted brown rice taste to it? I can't fully describe it, but TRUST ME, it's good. i-Tea is definitely not my go to boba joint, but I do go here every once in awhile. I always order the Strawberry Fruit Tea here. It's actually my favorite drink at i-Tea and I would get it from time to time. Realistically, I would give them a 4 star, but after what happened last week, I was just so disgusted that I don't even think I ever want to come here again (at least not for the food anyways). I ordered popcorn chicken for the first time here last week and the first few pieces were decent. But then I bit into something that tasted so unnatural. I spit it out and took a look at it. The piece of chicken was completely raw on the inside. It left a horrible taste in my mouth. Then I checked the other pieces and there was a total of 4 pieces that were completely raw!! So I ended up just throwing the whole thing away. I am so disgusted that I don't think I will order any food from here again and I definitely won't be ordering popcorn chicken from here anytime soon or anywhere else since I am so scarred. Of course there is so much more to write about, but the raw pieces of chicken is all I can think about when I think of i-Tea.
