Prompt, responsive, and careful! Couldn't ask for anything more from Ian's Movers. When I requested a quote on Yelp, Ian's was the first to respond and had by far the lowest hourly rate and lowest minimum time from the four movers I received a quote from. On the day of the move, very prompt and gave me plenty of notice for the arrival time. They were great at wrapping all the furniture, mattresses, boxed up lamps, made me feel my stuff was in good hands. I also found out the morning of the move that the elevator in my building was broken, so they had to use the stairs for my third floor apartment. Didn't phase them, no complaints and they still finished in less time than the original estimate. I was very pleased with the service, very polite, thoughtful, followed all the social distancing and mask recommendations. One last thought, at first I was hesitant that Ian's is new to the Bay Area and had no reviews here, but I checked their LA ratings which were great. Nikita and Alex were absolute superheroes! I was super concerned about the move because the front staircase of my apartment was under construction leaving only the back staircase which not only involved two tight turns and a hallway but also abutted a wall with a short clearance. Not only did Nikita and Alex get everything out of the apartment, they did so with such efficiency and also great care! When we arrived at my new place, they were once again super efficient and showed great care moving everything in and unpacking. They not only managed to get the sofa in to the place despite a sharp angle and short clearance, they also helped rebuild the bed. Overall, I could not have been happier with their help. I used Ian's Movers for my move from Redwood City to San Francisco. Eduardo and Israel were the ones who helped me move a 1-bedroom apartment and they did a great job. We had to navigate a big sofa up the stairs and through a moderately narrow hallway and Eduardo and Israel found a way to do it, even lifting the sofa at weird angles. They were also very accommodating whenever I had a request for something to be packed a certain way or re-wrapped. For any movers I do recommend following along as they go to make sure everything is packed to your liking, as you are the one who knows your things best. The move took about as long as I expected it to take. And it was a pleasure planning the move ahead of time with Ann. I hired a two movers for my move from a one-bedroom to a two-bedroom apartment. Pavel and Tylga were communicative, helpful and efficient. The staff at Ian's Movers were also very responsive and helpful and made sure everything was set before my move. Pavel and Tylga not only were on time, they were early. They were careful and protective with my items. There was a bit of complication when we got to the destination as another resident's movers who had the loading dock before us were far from done and over their allotted time, Pavel and Tylga made it work. They were so fast, they were done before the movers downstairs who clearly took over several hours to move one resident's belongings. This was my first experience hiring movers. Adulthood, amirite? I highly recommend Ian's movers. Their quote was reasonable, consistent with the lower quotes I received from other movers, and the person I talked to on the phone was very helpful and accommodating. They were able to schedule the move just two days later, on a Sunday. The crew that handled the move, Akti, Val and Sergei, was top notch. They were extremely efficient, completing the move much more quickly than I had expected. They were also very interactive, making sure that I was happy with what they were doing and asking me what I wanted as they went along. Bottom line, I'd recommend Ian's Movers. Communication and scheduling was easy. They showed up on time and helped me to pack my remaining items including wrapping furniture, disassembling my bed frame and providing wardrobe boxes for hanging clothes. They were efficient while working and proactive about letting me know when they were taking breaks (I was moving out of a third floor walk up unit). They also wore masks the entire time and were mindful of keeping distance when possible. Joining the bandwagon here. While Ian's Movere didn't give me the lowest quote, they were quick to respond to my request and were very friendly, so I decided to give them a chance. On moving day, Dennis and another mover (whose name I can't recall...sorry other dude!) came by on time and started right after they explained how the contract worked. Very pleased with the whole experience. I immediately received a call after I asked for a quote going over all the details of my move and giving me precise amounts of what I can expect in terms of hourly rate and any extras. The movers, Andrey and Vadim, were very punctual and arrived within the window they said they would, giving me a 15-20min heads up before arrival. Ian's movers were awesome. Great customer service, always there when I called with questions. Russ & Max showed up on time and worked their asses off to tightly back my stuff securely on the truck. Next day Russ unloaded alone and also did a great job of working with me to move stuff where it was going in my new house. He communicated about his arrival and slight delay due to traffic. Max and Max from Ian's Movers did great job for our move from San Francisco to East Bay. They are nice and professional. In particular, there was a large and relatively heavy bed headboard that previous movers couldn't figure out a way to move it to the bedroom downstairs. These guys did a fantastic job, sending it down from outside with a harness rope. The office staff were also responsive and quickly resolved an issue with insurance documents that our buildings HOA needed right. read more

I had a great move with Ian's Movers on 6/14/2021. I had two movers and one truck move all my stuff for a one-bedroom apartment, and they were extremely fast yet careful. And they showed up ten minutes early! I can happily say none of my furniture or boxes were damaged in the process. They carefully wrapped my more delicate furniture with blankets and plastic wrap. Rus and Pasha were the friendliest, most efficient, professional movers we've ever had, and we've moved four times in the Bay Area. We had a wonderful moving experience with Ian's Movers. Our movers, Max, Varlam, and Kirill were super strong, efficient and professional. They moved our boxes in no time at all, and carefully wrapped and dissambled any furniture that needed it. Dima, Yarik, Yerzhan and Nyrbol did an amazing job! They showed up on time, helped with packing, moved quickly, loaded the truck very efficiently and barely took a break.
