This was a goooood time! I kinda wanted to skip the show so I came at 11 and found a perfect park right in the front. When I walked in I was greeted by Bryan (I think...long night) and I asked "how does this work" he explained the layout and asked if it was my first time I said yes and he was super sweet! I walked to the bar and it was kinda busy but not to to busy. I grabbed a drink and walked around it was a really cute space nice dance floor and spacious back patio. The music was hit or miss but I felt like they were trying to please everyone which is understandable. I am not a baby so I drink shots straight up no ice with a chaser I like all my liquor lol so for me the drinks were strong some one bought me a lemon drop and it was good too! I was alone and a little lonely at first but made lots of friends and had an amazing time. I felt safe and like I belonged it was a good time.

I went on a Saturday night to have a couple of drinks before bar hopping. The drinks were a bit watered down to me, which is why I deducted a couple of stars. We left shortly after we arrived as the drinks were not really adding to the liveliness we were going for. Other than that, there was a drag show happening and I believe a $3.00 cover charge around 9:00pm (ish). They have a seating area where the show takes place and it seemed to be packed in that area. So it would be suggested to go a bit early to grab a seat if you would like to see the show. There was a lot of standing so if you can't catch a seat, comfortable shoes might be a wise choice.

Super fun bar. Large outdoor area with dancing and tables. Inside is karaoke. It's very loud, very cold, and the dj is very foul mouthed to the point of disgust, but lots of good singers and three for one drinks. Overall it's a fun night.

We had so much fun! My friend had never seen a drag show, and it just so happened we were getting dinner down the street and they had a Friday night show from 9 to 11 PM. good music, people and laughter. And the drinks were amazing! The "gay punch" was so delicious I couldn't even taste the alcohol. Friendly helpful staff. They also sell food. They only have one Womens toilet/restroom and there was a very long line :(

It feels like there is ALWAYS something going on here. On my first visit, my girlfriend took me on a date here to catch a burlesque show. It was absolutely packed and everyone had a great time! And every Friday and Saturday night, there is some reiteration of a goth dance night ($5 cover). I also appreciate the slightly older crowd full of my fellow thirtysomethings, and the upstairs patio cannot be missed when the weather is nice. The cocktail menu isn't anything especially fancy, but there's still something for everyone to enjoy. My favorite is always the Prickly Heat--think a prickly pear margarita that's absolutely loaded with fresh jalapenos. It's not for the weak! There's also food, and while it's not mind-blowing or anything you'll appreciate that you can have a nice snack at midnight on a weekend. Surly Wench is a local cultural institution, and we're lucky to have it.

A little too much for my tastes but the bar literarly supports lgb*! But I where I cross the line with Bar patrons in boy make up is arguing with staff after being kicked out of the restroom stall. The awesome security man took control promptly to this upset in the women's restaurant. And the awesome owner basically had that intruder leaving with their member between his legs (acknowledging tr*ns validity at the same time. What tact!). Let's keep the women, and security man restroom clean! The awesome surly patriots at the wench bar made sure to take it to the street and communicate a policy of forgiveness and brutal clarity in making sure certain members of our community cannot go bathroom real quick without a valid state ID or proper members. No one should be allowed to draw on the stall after they are standing outside, I don't care what is wrong with you! God bless these surly patriots for how they protect their American bart patrons. Would recommend the liquor! They have the main ones except Jose Cuervo. Too much graffiti in the bathroom so 4.5 stars. #AlternativeBarAgainstPC

It ain't pretty.... When you walk through the front door, you're greeted by the scents of stale cigarette smoke and Fabuloso. The decor is something out of the mid 60's. It's a very fun, unpretentious place. Good service, fun drinks and a great escape from our crazy world. Check it out!

It's kitsch and offbeat, maybe even offputting if you think too hard about the legacy of that family, but it's anything but boring. What I love: They're big on doing their own infusions. You absolutely must try Pam's Spicy Lemonade--Hornitos with thai chili and mint. I've also had coffee-infused liquors here before that you'll rarely find anywhere else. I'm not a smoker, but I get stoked for their enclosed smoking patio with a couple old arcade cabinets (I like Centipede!) What I like: There are like, really cheap simple cocktails with the creativity to make some unappealing, bottom shelf liquors taste palatable. Those aren't my usuals, but I'm always intrigued. I will shamelessly have a couple $3 High Lifes. There's only one big bar in the center of the lobby, but service is generally fast. It's dimly lit and can be tightly packed, but you'll still have fun. Good for date night or groups of four or less. No food, but once in a blue moon you'll find a truck parked out front. Overall, a solid Tucson staple.

I forgot which night it was now since we stayed in DT Tucson for Tour de Tucson from Thursday to Sunday. Oh, Actually I think it was a Saturday night because I remember wanting to go somewhere that had TVs that would show the Vegas F1 race. We got a table without reservation and they didn't have anything F1 on TV.. so we started just watching from our phone but then I noticed one of the main TVs above the bar started showing F1.. Now, I don't know if the servers of Elliott's were that observant and awesome or, they were already planning to show it once the race started... I choose to believe that our server was so awesome that she noticed we were watching F1 race on our tiny phone and put it on TV for us!! Honestly, just for that, 5 stars in my book. What also is a bonus is how good their food is. Sometimes you get nervous going to a local bar because food is not always good...though the people who run it and the place might be fun. However, you get all of the above at Elliott's. We ordered some mussels (cooked to perfection, not overcooked at all), pear salad, pineapple cider (delish), fish tacos, and steak. Everything was pleasantly yummy and the star was the mussels, which I did not expect to taste this fresh and delish, talking about setting low expectations and be pleasantly surprised! Overall, highly recommend. It did get darker and lots more busy and loud as we finished dinner and the Vegas F1 race finished. Def the place to bring people and friends to hang out and enjoy good food!

The Buffalo wings were cooked just like I like them...extra crispy. I asked for the Buffalo sauce to be on the side. The wings aren't seasoned so the flavor is all in the sauce. Seated by the window made a fun time people watching as we enjoyed the downtown view. This place is more spacious than I anticipated. Keep in mind lamb shanks are small, so if you are very hungry, this might not fill you up. The French onion soup was the highlight for me. It was huge, probably bigger than my hand, and delicious. Definitely a must try. My fiancé got the seafood paella and honestly, neither of us enjoyed it. Very bland, like seafood with no sauce at all. Not for us, but that is just our opinion. All in all, the French onion soup steals the show and the staff makes the experience excellent. Great job.
