All of my coworkers and I frequent icehouse often. Their prices are the best in the area, they have great drink specials, and their food is great too. I love this place. I live in the lofts above it. These are the best burgers I have had in Denver, and trust me i have had many. Quesadillas are awesome, green chili is awesome, wings are great too. I eat here 3 times a week and it is fantastic bar food, with super cheap drinks as well. read more

The service at Icehouse Tavern is the worst I've ever had. I can't even rate on the beverages or food as we never received it. We'd stopped into this location yesterday, and the waitress had no idea what was going on. Not only could she not handle the 8 patio tables, but she also forgot to put our order in, so we were out of luck. She didn't even bother checking on our order evidently, as we'd been waiting 45 minutes and finally had to ask for her to go check on our food. She didn't even offer any alternatives and we ended up leaving the place completely angry at her lack of intelligence or customer service skills. Needless to say, we walked a block and had a lovely lunch at Fado instead. We will NEVER try Icehouse Tavern again. read more

went in yesterday for lunch and to have a few beers. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I got their boneless buffalo wings and I must say their buffalo sauce was fantastic and a very good portion. The drink prices are great. $2 colors light drafts can't beat it. I think this is a really good place to eat and drink cheaply and watch baseball, which is all I have ever done there so I cannot comment on the full menu. The Happy Hour is as good as I have found in Denver in terms of the food - the HH menu clearly states that the portions are smaller but they are still not bad at all, and the nachos I had for 6 dollars were delicious (much better than the Westword acclaimed Blake Street Tavern ones), My only real complaint is the lack of 'ordinary' lager on tap - I really am not a big fan of Light beer and so either regular Bud or Banquet would have been much appreciated, especially as they do not sell any bottled beer (just cans). However for 1.50 I guess you can just put with it or go elsewhere, and that is what I did. Nice staff, good location for cheap drinking and eating before Rockies games, an all round thumbs up from me. read more

If your restaurant allows their employees to put their hands on customers you have a serious problem. Slow service, employees that only pay attention to customers to start a fight, and overpriced (which admittedly is pretty much all of Denver) food and drinks. Mine is not the only review about these people getting physical, they need to do something about this. read more

Stopped in here Friday afternoon to use a giftcard, eat some fried food, drink some stiff beers and contemplate moving out of our first Denver house the following morning. This place is kind of in the middle for me as far as Little Pub Co bars go...way better than Three Dogs but not quite The Cooler or Patrick Carroll's. On the plus side, they have cheap drinks (beer, wine, well, margs) during happy hour (4-7pm) as well as $5 food. The fish and chips with waffle fries and two big pieces of fried fish were awesome and the perfect size for me. My husband ate the wings and a quesadilla with pulled pork. Everything was great. I'm no coleslaw fan but my basket came with a tiny cup of agave lime coleslaw that changed my mind. No mayo, and it had a hint of spicy, smokey chile, maybe chipotle? We inhaled it. Also, the HH drink specials are a flat discount across the board, so you can pick whatever beer you want. Nice to not be limited to a few choices. $2.50 for a Guinness or a strong seasonal Great Divide draft is awesome. PBRs were just $1. Service was good, not overbearing. They also had a grilled cheese sandwich on the regular menu plus mini corndogs and even sweet potato fries. Most Little Pub Co bars have similar menus but these were a first for me. As much as love SP fries, the waffle fries are always going to win out. I guess the only con was no fried cheese curds. I'm not in this area a ton so I don't know how soon I'd come back (plus it was a little dark inside and filled 100% with dudes) but it makes me wish The Cooler had $5 HH food...hint hint ;) read more

I am hesitant to review anything especially on yelp which has become a bulletin board of rants and self indulgence for posters. However I am getting a little tired of average or bellow average service in Denver but particularly in LODO. This summer has been great for baseball fans and the establishments around Coors field. Sadly though I have been repeatedly under whelmed by the desire to cultivate new long term customers. Im not looking for anything above the basics, acknowledgement of arrival, would you like a food menu(?), and not having to make multiple requests for water and the tab. I am in the service industry and go to multiple baseball games each summer. I am actively seeking a bar to FREQUENT (!) I value service over price and am willing to pay for it and show my appreciation to the staff. So I give the IceHouse Tavern an average because it was average. Hopefully the management/training staff can still get something from these reviews. Or perhaps there are so many people coming to LODO that it no longer matters, sad. The quest continues. read more

Exceptional. A diamond in the rough.. errr, a dull stone amongst a field of rubies. Regardless, this dark, dank and depressing bar hits me right in the feels, and in a good way. I went in there last night for drinks with a few friends. I had the worse experience and would never come in here again or recommend this place to someone. The service was so poor. It took forever to get service. The bartender named Edward was extremely rude. When he made the girls shots, he said, "Which one has the roofie?" This is completely inappropriate for a bartender to say and all the girls were disgusted by him. Our guy friend stepped in to tell him he was being inappropriate and the bartender gave him an attitude and got mouthy. read more

I had the worst service I have ever had at this place. Yesterday, we went in before the Rockies game to grab a quick lunch on the patio. The waitress was so slow and appeared to have no clue how to be a waitress. After 30-45 minutes I had to go inside and ask her to check on our food. She came out and admitted our food hadn't even been ordered! She tried to blame it on the kitchen but it was clearly her fault. How did it not dawn on her that something was wrong and check before we asked? Needless to say we did not wait for her to mess it up again. We left and had a great lunch at Fado. We went to the IceHouse on Sunday. When we walked in the, they had a bunch of NCAA games on and it was a nice, laid back atmosphere. And, Bud Light draft beers were only $1.50! So we had a few beers while we watched the ball games. Although we didnt order anything to eat, we had a great time, and will definitely be back for dinner. read more

my husband and I met friends at Icehouse before the Rockies home opener and I couldn't believe how efficient the staff was during such a busy event. When I approached the bar I fully expected to wait a long time for service but one of the bartenders came up within seconds and asked what I wanted. I couldn't believe it because the bar was packed. While he was getting my drinks, another bartender asked if I had been helped. wow. The bathrooms were clean, the customers all seemed friendly and polite, saying excuse me, holding the door for the person behind them, etc., We found this bar very enjoyable and will without question return for many happy hours. The manager genuinely seems to care about his bar and its reputation. read more

Yesterday we went to the Icehouse Traven before a Rockies game for lunch and a drink, the food was bad the service was worse. It took over half an hour to get a drink and after repeatedly be told our food was coming it took about another half hour to be served food. I wasn't happy when I visited here. We sat at the bar and were served our drinks in a reasonable amount of time, asked for menus and got them and then the bartenders ignored us for nearly 40 minutes. My fiance and friends and I love the Icehouse Tavern. In fact we love everything about it, except for one MISERABLE bartender/server that has shown us and everyone else I know the most horrfic service we have ever experienced at an establishment. I dont know her name (bc shes too busy acting like we are inconveniencing her by ordering food or drinks to let us know) but she is Asian or Hawaiian or something like that and always seems to be working and ALWAYS being nasty. She looks at you like you are below her when you order anything, after she spends 10 minutes avoiding you like the plague. She never smiles, never speaks, bumps into you seemingly purposely while walking around, and is just a sad representation of the service industry. I am not sure why she is always there or how she even still has a job, but I am surprised if no one has ever said anything to her about her nasty attitude. I bet she would actually get good (or any?) tips if she adjusted her outlook on her job and life. We are knowing for tipping well over 20% as long as you are even a decent server, and I am irritated that we ever tip her at all. All the other servers there are great though, and if that girl would get an attitude adjustment or leave we would go a lot more often. They have great drink specials, pretty good food, fun games, lots of tvs to watch the sporting events going on, and a great loft style atmosphere. read more

I never write reviews but this place needs one. I recently moved to the area and have never been to this bar and I went on a party bus for Halloween and our whole group ended up leaving early because the bartender that was dressed as a "space man" was a complete prick to us after we were even complimenting him on his costume his words were somewhere along the lines of "ok you guys can order a drink or I'm skipping you" and that was just asking him where he got the costume. That was just when we first walked in. Then I heard from others how he was being an asshole to them as well, but the final straw was when he treated our shot girls like crap and our host of the whole event noticed and took it upon herself to step in and get our group to leave. The place seemed like a really cool place too, and the woman bartender who was working was a sweetheart and we had no issues on her part and she actually joked around with all of us and made the customers feel welcome. As a manager in the hospitality industry I know this guy was showing unacceptable behavior and was very unprofessional and as a bartender you don't even have to be that professional, it's a fun laid-back job that can land you some good income, but this guy was just horrible to us and we have no idea what was up his ass to make him act like that. He hurt his fellow co-workers on tips though and the owners of the business on revenue because of his poor attitude towards our group of about 30. I'm sure this place is a fun place when it wants to be, but I don't plan on going back anytime soon or go out of my way to come here especially after that service. read more
