I was part of a 20+ group who went for breakfast one morning. The gingerbread houses were out as it was mid december. The room itself is amazing, with a wide panoramic view of Fort Whipple/VA as well as Thumb Butte and much of the eastern side of Prescott. Worth the trip for the view alone. Our service was slow, but that was due to some staffing changes that were fairly new. I ordered the breakfast burrito, which seemed like a safe bet. The food took a long time to come out and when it did, my burrito was completely devoid of flavor. There was not even salsa on the side. I ate it as I was hungry, but it is tragic that even a burrito is something they cannot accomplish. The servers were pleasant and attentive when they were around, but I honestly cannot recommend this place until they do something crazy like hire some who can cook food with flavour. read more

This a very mixed review. We stayed at the Prescott Resort for Thanksgiving. I love the resort, but that's another review. I've been to this restaurant before and we decided to go to breakfast Thanksgiving morning. I'll have to say their breakfast is absolutely outstanding. Five stars all the way! I ordered steak and eggs, and the other two people in my party ordered the classic Benedict, and the smoked salmon Benedict. They know how to do a Benedict right which is rare these days. I tried some of each dish and all of them were outstanding.! Unfortunately, that was the end of our great experience here. We booked a reservation for Thanksgiving dinner because it was very convenient and sounded great. They had a buffet style meal before your main course, which was very good. Stone crab claws, shrimp, various other things. Very solid starter plate. But the prime rib main course, which we all decided to get was not good at all. They were all cold and covered in a thick gravy which was supposed to be au jus, but was absolutely terrible. I'm used to getting my prime rib with nothing on it, and the sauce on the side. I've had a lot of prime ribs in my life and this has to rank as one of the worst ones I've ever had. I'm not one that sends back food very often, so I pushed through but when my wife explained how cold hers was, they took her meal off of the bill. She never does that ever. You absolutely can't beat the view of Prescott from the restaurant. The service was absolutely outstanding, and even though our second meal was terrible, we tipped our server well because it wasn't her fault. I will absolutely go back there for breakfast, but breakfast only. read more

If you want a dinner with poor customer service, pretty bland food, wrong orders, and where the servers ignore you in an empty restaurant then this is the place for you. What used to be the gem of fine dining in Prescott is basically a waiting room with a great view. To put in perspective we were there longer than the movie Wicked and one hour of that was waiting for the bill. To end this on a positive note... the bread and butter selection was delightful. read more

Beautiful view. Very short staffed. Waffles were average. No pancakes on the menu. Cold coffee. Our waiter did the best he could. Sunday morning and he worked alone. Our guests enjoyed their egg breakfast. One meal was supposed to come with fry bread and it came with biscuits. Our waffles came without berries which were listed on the menu. Total disappointment. Rating a 1 star only because there is no 0 option. Service was so slow our meal came out 50 minutes after ordering. Then it was cold and the steak so full of gristle it couldn't be cut. We sent it back, something we almost never do, and waited another 15 mins as I ate alone and finished my meal. It was cold too but I dealt with it. The drink was poorly made as she said she made it herself and hadn't made a manhattan in a long while. Then he couldn't drink it and switched to a safe beer. I drank water. We were poorly attended to, the food was poorly prepared and we in addition waited another 20 mins for the "complementary " dessert and bill. Even the bill had an error as the special fish plate hadn't been entered in the computer so it listed 2 steak dinners instead. I could go on but won't. Worst experience ever for a couple who enjoys a fine dining experience for special occasions, and does eat out often enough. Pick another place. I worked my way through college as a server. I always tip well and know what a hard job this is. This was probably one of the worst experiences I've ever had at a restaurant. I've never sent food back before and I had to. we waited for an hour for our checks. the entire time no one took our finished plates- I had to remove both the menus and our finished plates from our table. we were there for 2.5 hours and were waiting for so long to be able to pay we were standing with our jackets on. The dirty martini was horrible - horrible vodka, made by someone who doesn't know how to make this drink. The orders were wrong and we had to repeat our orders to the server so she could get our checks right- there were only 5. my friend asked for a box 4 times. the place was EMPTY and it was still so bad. We are all nice people who have worked in the service industry and we are locals who want to support our local restaurants. never again sadly. read more

We enjoyed all the foods we purchased: calamari was great with the lemon aioli; breast of chicken with seasonal veggies and mushroom risotto, and carrot cake. The server was very nice and attentive. The restaurant is beautiful and elegant as well as the resort. The views are great! read more

Empty restaurant that had a reservation for 16 told us they could not serve us because they only had two cooks. This is graduation weekend from Embry Riddle and we had two rooms and 10 adults plus other visiting adults and could not feed us because they didn't have the staff. This is ridiculous. We took our business elsewhere. If we could have we would have stayed at a different hotel entirely. We'll never stay in this ridiculous, overpriced hotel again which is incapable of servicing it's guest. Perhaps it's the color of our skin. Who's to say. read more

It's a beautiful restaurant and the views are nice, but quality of food and service is horrendous and lacks any attention to detail. We came here as a party of 7. First off they toasted the croissant which was strange (it was inedible), they forgot the condiments and we ate most of our meal without the condiments requested. They scrambled the eggs instead of over medium, the didn't refill coffee in any timely manner, the food tasted like cheap quality/mass produced. It lacked any flavor and didn't taste fresh. They need a kitchen/floor manager to ensure better quality and for the prices they charge, they should have better quality food. Out of the party of 7, nobody enjoyed their food. Anything we requested took painfully long to receive. Plenty of other MUCH better breakfast places in town. I haven't been here for lunch or dinner, but seeing how easy breakfast is and how much they missed the mark I would be reluctant to try them for other meals. read more

Only negative I could say is that it would have been nice to have piano music in the back ground. There was a piano but nobody was playing. So do not waste your time coming to this restaurant. If you make a reservation online they will not honor it and state their kitchen staff is too short staffed to accommodate a large group that open table allowed. Even though we were staying at the beautiful resort this restaurant falls far short of the level one would expect from it. read more

Very convenient place to eat when staying at Prescott Resort. Beautiful view looking down into the valley. Not a bad table in the place. Ate lunch here for business. Basic lunch menu of salads and sandwiches. Vegetarian friendly as well which is a plus when you're here for a conference and don't have luxury of time to leave for another restaurant. Service was fine. Haven't tried breakfast yet but hear they really have a great menu and it's a must try. read more

Stumbled upon this place by accident, actually. We were on a getaway weekend in Prescott, and thought this place was recommended to us (turned out it wasn't), which we discovered halfway through our meal....confusing story, yes. Anyways, the service, food, and view were all great. I had the scallops, my wife had a steak. No complaints at all on that end - delicious food for sure. The view overlooks the town of Prescott, and we watched the sun set as we ate. Service was prompt and attentive. Where I have to dock this place two stars is because: - my mojito was terribly flat. The club soda had zero carbonation and was overly-sweetened. - The menu that we saw didn't match their online menu. My wife was excited about the sea bass option, and the lamb shank looked tasty to me. Neither was on the menu when we arrived there. - There was some type of party going on in the hall directly next to the restaurant while we were having dinner. Zero soundproofing in that hall, and the pumping bass totally killed the ambiance. We tried moving further away, but it didn't do much. Every time the door to that hall opened, the music volume at least tripled and spoiled any conversation we were trying to have. Terrible placement for a party hall....we contemplated leaving because of this, but luckily the good food kept us there. read more

Had a fun Ladies Luncheon at Icha Maajoh yesterday. Pleasant, quiet setting with a beautiful view of Prescott. I had my usual, the Israeli salad. It's actually more like a hummus appetizer plate with hummus, variety of pickled peppers and olives, avocado relish and grilled pita. Yum !! Server was punctual, pleasant and very accommodating. The only saving grace of this restaurant was the waitress ! This is cafeteria food disguised as fine dining ...or should I say " faux dining" My chewy shrimp cocktail appetizer was served on a bed of onions ...cocktail sauce tasted like salty onion ketchup My friend loved the Calamari ! My chicken dinner should be called salt with chicken ....the French fries were totally over salted as well My friends filet was good but the so called crab cake tasted like salty cat food and looked worse than cat food.. Waitress claimed it was snow crab ...no way ! I would be scared to give that crab cake to my cat ! I joked that If I dined and dashed I would have a cardiac arrest attempting to run ...salt salt salt My mom said be weary of restaurants with salty food ...Usually a clue the food is not fresh... What a beautiful view and relaxing ambiance! This restaurant was a great surprise as I looked for restaurants in Prescott and it never even showed up. At the resort so tried it. One of very few nice, upscale restaurants in Prescott that I could find. The view is impressive and the menu is yummy. We were guests at the Prescott Resort, which also has very impressive views, particularly if you are staying in a suite. The staff at Icha Maajoh was very friendly. We were there on a weekend in winter and the dining room was far from full. For an appetizer, we chose the gnocchi. Really delicious. Also had the lobster with crab and venison, both very yummy. The wine selection is extensive. I really recommend trying this place, more so if you prefer something a little nicer than the "typical" fare offered in Prescott. I normally do not write reviews, but I felt compelled after eating here and finding almost no Internet presence for this restaurant. read more

We came in expecting an upscale restaurant given the pricing. It is not. Here are a few highlights. Granted I just realized I didn't finish my review from 2013, so things may have changed...hopefully for the better. Escargot not enough garlic couldn't taste the garlic at all. Menu torn and dirty and just a piece of paper Waitress was right over Drinks took about 7 min NY strip was quarter inch thick, if that Crab legs were cold and tasted a little fishy After heating or nuking the legs they were even more fishy. Worst service ever we were a party of 7, the restaurant was not busy at all that should have been our first clue, we arrived about 6:40pm got seated no utensils asked for straws twice finally got them. We ordered our meals and by 7:55pm no food and still no utensils, my husband was starving and so annoyed that he left the table and went to the nearest restaurant, the waiter hardly came to our table and when he for come by hee kept making excuses about everything .... Went to lunch with my mom she got the Ruben with sweet potato fries and I got the green chili burger with shoe string fries. The sweet potato fries were amazing and surprisingly I perfected them over my own fries. It seemed the shoe string fries were a little over cooked and sat for a while, my burger however was very delicious and very flavorful you could actually taste the green chili. My moms Ruben was great and she loved it. I wish they had more chicken options on their lunch menu besides a wrap and salad. Overall the staff was friendly, attentive and very professional. Made is very easy to share a plate with my two year old, bought us an extra plate and a steak knife so we could cut a piece of sand which off with out having to struggle. The view is beautiful and will def be coming back to try other items on the menu. read more

There was a considerable wait for a table due to the staff being overwhelmed by a boys soccer group. Finally after a table was cleared and my party was seated the A/C above the table came on and it turned cold and drafty. We requested to be moved. Overall the food was very commercial tasting and certainly nothing to brag about. Service was extremely slow, and coffee refills were hard to come by. There were five of us for lunch and when we approached the hostess she stated we might want to go to the casino restaurant for more variety. She then said I have to check with waitress to see if she'll take you now. It was 12:30 and they opened at 11:00. Yikes is about the best way to describe this place. Prices here suggest upscale and are pretty much no better than airline food or mass produced bad wedding food. The rolls are Safeway rolls with packets of Sysco butter. The charcuterie platter was a plate of tasteless mozzarella cheese, cheddar that tasted like it old and flavorless, pepperoni, some bland prosciutto, a mass of fog jam and a spoon of oil something or other (no one wanted to try it) and 5 tiny grilled baguette slices. We ordered two such plates for a large party of 12 to share - needless to say both plates were half full by the time entrees arrived. The porterhouse at $42 was grey, with two grill lines and totally unseasoned; the filet was rubbery with a about 2 tablespoons of a gooey flavorless demi glace. The other entrees looked similarly sad. I wasn't expecting something amazing for a hotel restaurant, but if you're going to charge $30-$42 an entree where all in after tax and tip you're looking at around $60 a head, the food shouldn't be this terrible where no one finished. It was just mediocre and poor all around. You'd be better off going to In-N-Out. read more

For the first time in many years, this restaurant did not disappoint! As usual, awesome views overlooking Prescott. But I can't say enough about the quality of our dinner. I had the ribeye chop and it was outstanding. Looked great, tasted even better. Another in our party had the duck and was not disappointed. Overall great ambiance and great food. read more

I previously ate here and I was hoping to gamble after my lunch but unfortunately I couldn't. I spent my afternoon on the toilet. Good thing it was close to the restaurant! It turns out there was a massive line outside. Pyramiding is a real thing! If anyone is a real gambler try the calamari but your odds aren't very great. read more
