I was told that this was an all you can eat sushi restaurant, they had a very limited selection of sushi and the ones that they did offer had cream cheese in it. Some had no cream cheese but I still wasn't impressed. The Chinese buffet was mediocre. Decent selection of menu items. Definitely more a Chinese buffet than a sushi place. Hibachi was ok. Chicken was good but steak was very over cooked and tough. Would I go back? Probably not. There's better places in Orlando to visit for the same type off of food. I went to this restaurant while on vacation with my family and was surprised at how the hostess treated us. She was condescending and rude and told me to wait until she had time for me while helping people who just walked in although I'd been waiting for 10 minutes prior to those customers. I did a get a chance to see the establishment though and what I saw while I was waiting was nothing short of dirty and disgusting, the food was messy, the staff had dirty hands and I saw them touching food with their dirty bare hands, no one wears gloves and the floors and bathrooms are filthy. We went to have dinner after a long day at Disney. The food was considered decent comparing to other Chinese buffet with a similar price range. The service on another hand was bad. I literally witness a waitress didn't wash her hands after using the restroom. On top of that, we was handed a coupon book at our hotel with a $1.50 off for each person in this restaurant. And we were asked to present our coupons before seated, which was totally fine with us. I searched for a sushi buffet in the International Drive area and found Ichiban. I was drawn in by the 'sushi'. If you are looking for 'sushi', please avoid this place. Sushi consisted of terrible rolls, bad seaweed salad and a few other things. If they didn't call themself a sushi buffet, I would have rated them a '3'. Hibachi was slow and so-so. Waited just a few minutes to be seated because the place was very busy. Our waitress was not very friendly but kept our plates cleared and drinks refilled. Most servers would just walk and not even pay attention that a customer was also trying to get thru or acknowledge them. There was a large variety of food, including sushi and hibachi orders. This place was amazing. My husband and I went for lunch this week and i think we're making it our new spot. Sushi bar was so fresh they were literally hand rolling it in front of us. The food buffet had so many choices it was difficult not to overload or plates. The staff was continously changing food trays. Everything was so fresh and so good. This buffet has "a lot" of food. What I mean is they fill their trays like a feet tall. Sushi selection is limited. But hot food and everything else is fine. Good bang for the money. If you like Chinese, and some sushi, this will be a perfect place for it. read more

I especially like the sushi, but I wish they kept making it fresh throughout the day instead of keeping it out all day if no one eats it. This place is deceiving as it looks nice on the outside but this is the third time I've been here and it never changes. The tuna was bad, the sushi chef had major attitude and the hibachi grill chef the same. After I spoke with the manager she tried to help and brought me some sashimi, and the tuna was bad. Every time we visit Orlando, Ichiban is on our must eat list. We enjoy the variety of food, the great service and cleanliness. The food is always hot and fresh and service is quick (do not go after 830, if you want it fresh and fast service because they start clearing up for the night). The food is tasty and the servers are attentive. I personally enjoy the Mongolian beef, honey chicken and wonton soup. My husband loves the sushi and chicken on a stick. My daughter is a fan of the rice noodles and spring rolls. The one time we went after 830, we didn't get great service, however, we were given a 20% discount because of that, which we did not expect and made us feel a bit better about our visit. These guys leave all the cold food sitting on the hot water and when u walk in you see all the smoke coming out of the food and u decide to dine here cause it looks fresh. Once u actually go in to eat, u realize it's just old food sitting on hot water. I promise you that if u come, you are wasting your money. The only saving grace was the hibachi (even though they didn't get my plate right) and the desserts (which is mainly just ice cream). I never write reviews, because it's not my thing. But last night was too much and I just had to write something so the restaurant can do something about it. The one star is for the food. no stars for the terrible service. Our server was a young chinese guy with long brown dyed hair. He was horribly rude and disrespectful of private space. He does not know the meaning of "service". Me and 14 of my friends went to eat there, expecting it to be fun with good service like the other reviews. Turns out we were treated absolutely horrendously. We did not want to pay big tips because he did not deserve it and I did not want to spend my money on something not worth of it. He must already be thankful that he got a few bucks off us, for the way he treated us. And yet he saw how much we gave him and he COMPLAINED to us. He was saying "this is too little". We ignored him because we didn't want to cause a scene, and he stormed out of our sight grabbing the receipts grumpily. I would come back for the food, but not the service. read more

I went to this place and I would have to say it's the best so far. Great selections with the food. They have a big selection for the sushi bar which I have to say is better than kobes. We live 5 minutes away and decided to try this new restaurant when we found out it just opened. I have to say, this place is great.
