The food is pretty standard nothing special but consistent I was disappointed today when I ordered their fresh French toast with fruit the advertisement has bananas blueberries and strawberries all fresh (it is July after all. All in season) when it arrived it was strawberries with syrup all over it I sent it back I said how could you advertise fresh fruit on your fresh special menu and they give you canned fruit it was the same for the blueberries so it was false advertising, that said we come here a lot and enjoy the food on the weekend it is very loud and crowded read more

Stopped here for a late breakfast on our way to our monthly Orange County trip. Ordered the Southwest scrambled eggs and red potatoes, bell pepper combo. Long wait for food. When it came the eggs were lukewarm, the avocado barely there and the canned salsa was cold, cold, cold. The restroom was dirty. The saving grace was a vey nice, attentive waitress. Will not stop there again. Will go back to El Pollo Loco across the street. read more

We have not been to Ihop for at least a year. My food tasted amazing, which was a Macaroni and Cheese sandwich melt with beef. But my brother did not like the cheeseburger that much. The Oreo Milkshakes taste good, but not exactly perfect. The service was good because we were here for less than 45 minutes. IHOP Agoura ca has always been a good place for a decent breakfast at a reasonable price. We've been stopping by occasionally for many years. The service has always been pretty good considering the many folks usually there at any one time. Yesterday we went in to see what their NEW STEAK-BURGER was all about. Being always critical of all the SLOP burgers and quality of ALL the fast food places and never impressed with any of them we were EXTREMELY surprised how well this was prepared and how good it was........ GREAT JOB IHOP .... you have brought back the great old fashion long sought after American hamburger. I hope you can maintain this amongst all your cooks. The only reason IHOP is getting a 2 star vote from me is because I normally love their food and overall experience there. However, last night was NOT ok. I really hope the general manager of this store will read my review and if not, I'm sending a letter to the manager myself....that's how strongly I feel about this situation. Last night my boyfriend and I dined at IHOP after a concert at Canyon Club. It was midnight and only one poor server named Adam was working the entire restaurant by himself. I would say there were about 10 tables that he was waiting on at any given time. We walked in, saw a young woman standing at the front desk area who sat us at a booth near the front of the restaurant. It took 12 minutes for anyone to greet us and take our drink order. Adam was running back and forth and looked obviously stressed out. He came over to us, took our order, and left. Meanwhile, more people were coming into the restaurant to be sat. The hostess Deborah kept telling these people there was about a 10 minute wait and even took their names down on a wait sheet. The guests were looking around seeing plenty of empty tables available and got upset. I counted 3 separate parties of diners that up and left their tables due to a lack of attention. The hostess Deborah just stood there clinking pennies and change into the register and I'm not exaggerating, I saw her count the stack of 20 dollar bills 4 separate times in a 6 minute span!!!! I was in disbelief!!! She was literally just standing there trying to look busy and not helping Adam at all. My bf actually addressed her, telling her to help Adam by making coffee, getting drinks for diners, or anything other than counting money. She stared at him blankly and said nothing...I think there was a slight language barrier, but she knew well enough that we were mad and wanted her to do something....anything!! Our food came out cold because it was sitting under the heat lamps for too long. We didn't have the heart to complain to Adam and send it back, so we ate as much as we could. My bf actually got up and refilled his own carafe of coffee at the kitchen pouring station because Deborah was unwilling to do so when he asked her to. What service! At one point during our stay there, Deborah counted some money AGAIN, stapled it to some receipts, and walked out the door. She didn't tell Adam she was abandoning him. She just waltzed out of the restaurant and never came back. Talk about team players who help each other out. I can't express in writing how upset I was at IHOP's management last night. Adam hustled his ass off the entire time and did a great job while miss Deb openly refused to help. If IHOP chooses to stay open 24 hours every day, then provide service 24 hours every day!! Last night was inexcusable and I was so upset that management would put their employees in such stressful and unfair situations. Diners were getting upset and taking it out on Adam, when they really should be upset at IHOP's managers. In the future, please consider how understaffing affects everyone. The servers suffer and are literally being thrown to the wolves, the diners are angry for the crappy service, and IHOP's image and reputation declines as well. There are plenty of people in the area who are unemployed and would be willing to work some shifts. And if your business can't survive those Saturday night midnight rushes, then strongly consider nixing the 24 hour thing. read more

A bit dated, the upholstery is something I'd expect to see at my grandma's house, but has received a few new changed to the wall wart and decor over the last few visits to help modernize the feel. Always clean and well kept, clean glasses and utensils, syrup containers always full and free of spillage, as was the problem with some locations. Food here is as expected of a chain restaurant, good tasting and satisfying. Don't expect a 35 dollar steakhouse meal, but far better then fast food. Always had my order cooked to perfection. Their waffles are buttery and super soft. Eggs delicious and bacon always sinfully sweet. Chicken tenders lightly breaded and not overloaded with batter, giving good consistency and their ranch dressing makes me wonder if they make it in house with his thick and rich it is. All around a good place to go for breakfast lunch dinner or that 2am craving as this location is open 24hours! read more

AVOID unless you don't mind acquiring some sort of food borne illness! This restaurant is ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING! My coffee cup, that I drank half a cup of coffee from, had lipstick remnants on the other side (apparently a left handed female coffee drinker had the cup before me) YUCK! I cancelled my food order and went to the bakery across the street to get a muffin to eat while my cast iron stomach daughter ate her pancakes and eggs. I will NOT come back to this unsanitary "restaurant". Please pass a great big bottle of Purell! Five minutes later: 45 minutes after ordering and they brought the wrong order to our table. My daughter said "let's go to the bakery and I'll get a muffin". I think it goes without saying but, I will not ever set foot in this unsanitary cesspool of a restaurant again. read more

So great... The entire staff was so nice to my kids. And my kids are crazy. Ample parking. BEAUTIFUL VIEWS! Not kidding. You can see Santa Monica Mountains right out the window!! I don't even need to talk about how great the menu is... You already know. And everything is in pictures so my kids don't need me to read anything to them. And I really like the picture too. The location and hours of this IHOP were perfect. It was 1:45 am on the 4th out July. I went with a friend after bar hopping. We were seated right away. It was busy and loud. There were many hipster who were eating after fireworks and beverages. I ordered a burger and fries. It was good. My companion had breakfast. This was our second visit here. Sandra recognized us immediately! I was very surprised. She smiled brightly and with a friendly gesture, offered us our previous table if we so desired. Given the amount of people she has served in the last 2 months, I have no idea how she did this, but this means a lot to people. Sandra will be what brings me back to this IHOP. It should be mentioned the food is definitely up to standard and the restaurant looks and smells sparkling clean. IHOP has a few pretty decent selections on the 55+ menu to check out too. OK, yes, it is an IHOP, but it's definitely not the best IHOP. While their service was really excellent. I am sad to report, their food was rather lacking. The omelets did not stand up to my IHOP standards. The egg to batter ratio for their omelets was totally off and the texture to the egg wasn't right. Not to mention, the fillings were folded throughout the omelet, rather than just filling the inside, creating kind of a wrapped up scramble. The pancakes weren't quite right either. There was definitely something funny going on in that kitchen. Maybe the cooks need more training. To sum things up, great service, below standard IHOP food. If you love IHOP, I'd avoid this one. Worst Ihop! went here late night at 11:30 on Jan 26 and was very disappointed with the food and service! Our server Lourdes was very rude she saw us walk in and she was right by the cashier, it was very slow not much costumers around and totally just walked away and ignored us. Until another server saw us and politely said we can sit anywhere. My boyfriend ordered country fried steak which tasted good, I ordered Philly cheesesteak and was very disappointed. The bread was stale and hard, it tasted like one of those frozen microwaveable cheeseteak except that this was worse, hard to chew with barely any cheese in it and it did not taste edible at all. So we told the server/cashier Lourdes about it and she asked us "what do you wanna do you want to change the bread?" With an attitude, she was more disappointed than I was. And when I told her can we please just change our order? she rolled her eyes and said okay. I have worked as a waitress years ago so I'm usually very understanding and nice because I know what its like. However she was just very rude and I can sense the discrimination. She greeted other costumers happily while ignored us most of the time and was very rude to us. We were the only asians there and felt like we were being treated differently. I would not come back to this location again. As for our rude server I hope she gets better with her costumer service. read more

I ordered my fries well done and they were soggy as hell. Had to ask for napkins and utensils...she gave us 4 napkins and we asked for more and she came back and rationed out 2 more napkins like there was a shortage! We could not determine which was worse; the food or the people who walked in there, between the women who looked like they just ended their night of "casual encounters" off Craigslist, the guy who was wearing house shoes, or the woman chewing her food like Mr. Ed I obviously lost my appetite! Free short stack with check in! Pretty consistent. The wife and I eat here often being that we get done with our Malibu weddings around midnight. This place is USUALLY open 24 hours, but we have rolled up when the place was closed. My wife prefers this place over any of the other IHOPs because they still serve blintzes that are not on the menu any more. These guys are also very promotion friendly with Yelp, MOGL and internet kinda deals. Right off the freeway, it's always a nice stop after a long night and long drive. read more

Very understaffed! Went here at 10:00 in the morning and were understaffed. There were so many open tables but was told to wait. Only 3 waiters were working during this time. There were about 4 groups just waiting to be seated. After 10 minutes we decided to go to the open bar and it was a much better idea. We were waiting for a while to order. Until a nice older lady was our waiter who repeatedly apologized with a great smile on her face. Anyway, we all decided to come here after being unable to get the pizza that we wanted to get...which I will never go back to... but yeah... that's a whole other story. I had a dessert fruit crepe. I'm not one to write bad reviews. I understand the food business has its crazy days when it's super busy or sometimes they are short staffed. I myself, worked in my family's business for a few days as a server and it was a crazy, intense experience.So keeping in mind it was international pancake day and it was a full house, I'm a little sad that today I had a terrible experience at this IHOP. The service was whatever, our server came up to us after 10 minutes of just looking at the menu and talking amongst ourselves. We ordered and then I asked for two plates to go. I asked our server Brian if I could get the food beforehand because I was going to take it to my boss. He gladly assured me my food would be ready in no time. It wasn't until we were done eating that he gives me my bag of food to go. I stood there waiting for my receipt and he argued he had given it to me. I ask for another one, and he gives me one with everything we ordered. I specially asked for a split one to pay for my bosses lunch separately out of our paycheck. Anyhow, I go over to the register to pay and I ask Abel to split my check please. Abel was new or something. He was really sweet and I could see he was trying. There were about 6 people in line to pay behind me and I told him to relax and take his time. He was sweating and shaking and he asked me to speak to him in Spanish since we both spoke Spanish and it was easier for him. After like 5 minutes of explaining and trying to get him to understand the two separate checks I wanted, he ended up splitting it three times. It was a total mess. But I sincerely saw his effort and my heart softened at his stress and the pressure he was under. We ended up overpaying, paying for stuff I didn't even eat but thanks to Abel's effort and sweet personality I payed and that is why I give this place two stars. Half a star for the service which he never came back to offer me water when I had the pancakes stuck on my throat. And a star and a half for Abel. Place was short staffed, unorganized, and chaotic. Today, my employees and I needed to meet before work for breakfast, and stopped by our local IHOP. And can I just say, "Excelsior!"? First star--coffee pot on the table. How smart is that? But wait, we're out of cream? Victor, how many creams did you put in your two cups of coffee? THREE?? In each cup??? Do you think that's reasonable? Second star--Turkey bacon? Why, what a great addition, this healthy menu. Oh, and I can have egg whites instead of eggs, and a fruit cup instead of hash browns, too!? Fantastic: Turkey bacon, eggs and hash browns it is! The turkey bacon was limp, but the flavor was wonderfully bacony. A great alternative for the health-conscious eaters like myself. Third star--Janice, our server. She pronounces it "Janeece". So ask for her: If the server says her name is "Janice", you have the wrong one. Fourth star--location. Right next door to DRIVEN. So we made it to open on time. So if you want a good, fast breakfast in Agoura Hills, go to IHOP without Victor. read more

Local IHOP. My surfing buddies and I come here occasionally after dawn patrol surf sessions. Reasonably priced, consistent in quality of food, and friendly staff make this a repeat location. The parking lot is large but it is crowded here so parking can be challenging on Sunday mnornings. The tables and bathrooms are high traffic, but surprisingly clean for the amount of peoiple using them. Thank you IHOP. read more

I have to say, for a national breakfast chain, this was some pretty darn good breakfast. I have always hated Denny's; I thought their food was dripping with grease and their pancakes/waffles were flavorless. Ihop is a head above Denny's. The price is still reasonable, but their diversity of pancakes/crepes available is the main reason why. I went with my family and two of us had savory crepes (spinach, chicken and mushroom/breakfast crepe), and two of us had sweet (swedish crepe). The crepe consistency and flavor was solid, and even with having an entire omelette in a crepe, it wasn't overly greasy. Good place for breakfast. read more

Have been having breakfast at this IHOP for years (except during COVID). In the mornings it's always clean and well organized. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Coffee is consistently good and always hot with a carafe placed on the table for easy refills. Food is consistently good (nothing special really but this is a budget friendly coffee shop) and special requests are always accommodated without issue. A special shout out for two super attentive servers - Sandra and Gus. They should clone these two! read more

I know that things are tight and hours have been cut, BUT we walked in at 9:30pm tonight (they close at 10pm) already knowing what we wanted to order. 30 minutes would be plenty of time to get our food and eat it. When we walked in the guy at the desk said they were only doing to-go because they were closing soon, and wouldn't let us sit and eat there. But waiting 15 minutes for our food just to have to take it home somehow made sense? I've worked in restaurants off and on for years, and even if a party came in at 5 minutes until close we sat them. It should also be noted we've come around the same time before (different day of the week with a really nice young woman working), and were seated no problem. A legendary place in Agoura we were so disappointed with the cleanliness on our recent visit. Flies and gnats practically swarming around the table. Figured it was the sticky syrup but on our way out, dirty floors, trash lying around and basically a kinda gross experience. Lots of fond memories at IHOP, please clean up so we can come back.
