I had high hopes (reasons unknown) for iHOP but was kinda let down. First off, the prices were absolutely outrageous. Fifteen bucks for a teenie burger and some fries. It looked big in the PIC on the menu but was actually fit for one of Snow White's smallest dwarfs (see PIC to see how teenie). I got the chicken fried steak which was 13 bucks and a better deal for a fair amount of food. Shakes were six bucks and coffee was $3.49! WTF? My meal was actually pretty good, all hot and fresh made. The garlic bread was tasty and my potatoes were quite swell. Moey's burger, however, was a solid meh -just nothing worth getting -truly anti-unicorn. We noticed from a table ad standee that Tuesday was short stack flapjacks day for a buck. We went back the next day and got 'em and got waters and hopped out for three bucks including tip. A real good deal and we should have ordered more stacks! The flapjacks were actually very good. We loved the Butter Pecan Syrup -thanks Monsanto Chemical Company! The staff was very nice and Disney-friendly and the place was remarkably clean. No syrup or any detritus whatsoever on the syrup containers or tables or walls or booths. No janky shakers or squeeze bottles. But however clean and friendly, I won't hop to iHOP no more -except to hog-out on one-buck flapjack stacks! It's all mostly way-too-teenie portions and just too expensive. 'Nuff said, YELPers... there's no need to lambaste this place but don't bother to hop over here other than to go back for the one-buck flapjack stack. read more

Excellent service by our waiter Avelino, who was extremely attentive and put our needs and wishes high. Every time we requested something, it took no longer than a few minutes, and this was during the breakfast rush. This time, since some people can't seem to understand that, is probably the busiest time for a breakfast-centric restaurant. We were seated only a few minutes after arriving, and got our food ordered and received less than fifteen minutes after. We even had the owner, Mel, come out and greet us and ask us how our experience was. The customer service is really inconsistent here, but I believe it's partially because their patronage here is really inconsistent, it's probably very hard to plan around such an inconsistent flow of customers. I can say that when it wasn't very busy, our service was waaaaaaay better. I can also say that there's not many other places in walking distance for breakfast. So I don't typically go to IHOP much but this location happening to be in walking distance to the convention center. We had a very early flight in the morning and ended up finding it at this IHOP was open so we hit it up being the only people in the restaurant. Despite the sleepy wait staff everyone was super friendly and we got to enjoy a pleasant meal before heading off to the airport. The restaurant was really clean and the food came out perfectly neat and picture perfect like their menu pictures. I can't resist, I love getting chocolate chip pancakes so I went all out with that. You can't beat a yummy and super cheap breakfast. If you're up to the five minute walk, this is a great spot especially early in the morning. We just ate breakfast here. We got our table quickly on a very busy morning. Service was actually very good. Jazmine was our server and Mel, the location GM, stopped by. Excellent touch. Jazmine was very friendly and helpful. The food was very good and reasonably priced. And the location is close to the Disneyland entrance just a block or two away. My main gripe today was the bacon. Its probably cooked in a microwave which leaves the bacon soggy and limp. Suggest grilling applewood smoked bacon until crisp and hit a homerun. The menu offers daily specials along with the regular IHOP offerings. Very good selection for all and friendly for families. read more

I stopped at this restaurant on a Friday at 9:15am. Very busy; customers lined up and waiting, but the wait was only about 10 minutes. Service was quick and the food was classic IHOP goodness before waking to Disneyland. This location works hard to keep their level of service high. read more

My family and I stayed at a nearby resort and were so happy to find out an IHOP was close by. First time we ordered, most of the food was ready promptly, but the bacon was sooo undercooked. I'm not a picky person and I couldn't touch the bacon, which was disappointing, especially since they racked up their prices. But the rest of the food was delicious. A couple days later, we were craving their pancakes again, so we wanted to order the family meal. I didn't want to order online bc it wouldn't let me choose the option of bacon well done. So I called a few times and finally got through. I waited 7 minutes on hold and Then hung up. My husband then called a couple of times after me. He finally got a hold of somebody and they said "well put you on a brief hold." 15 minutes later is more than enough time to wait patiently. We hung up and decided to not go there. read more

Right after that, he seated another party of 5 who had also just walked in, after we had been waiting. Both parties who were seated before us were Hispanic and so was the host. Stayed at a nearby hotel & after playing at Disney & Cal Adventure for several days we came in for sit-down breakfast-& were not disappointed! Staff were also nice and prompt, but visiting from Australia we were unsure about tips... (I still hate how the US works with hospitality and wages and their tipping system) iHop usually have very decent pricing for their meals, but ANY ihop in the vicinity of Disneyland have prices roughly $2-$4 extra per meal compared to other/suburban ihop restaurants, which is disappointing. My boyfriend & I decided to stop for breakfast before our second day in Disney. We arrived around 7:45 & were seated immediately. The server was friendly, but the quality wasn't fantastic. I had to ask for new silverware because mine had crusty something on it like it wasn't washed properly. We ordered the sampler & a sandwich. Neither of which were much to rave about. Pancakes weren't even hot enough to melt the butter & hash browns barely cooked. W1840 S Habor Blvd, what a disappointment, terrible service. If it wasn't for the Manager who saves the place from being totally horrific , this IHOP needs attention from some higher management. The manager is very nice and helpful but one waitress with bad attitude and a front desk with little common sense can ruin the whole experience. Outside patio seating was perfect! Coming from Vegas, the temperature was just right (as we always bring jackets w/us during the summer due to freezing restaurant a/c).
