Came to this IHOP while looking for breakfast near my hotel. It's convenient because it's literally right next to the mall. The waitress was very friendly and prompt. We had a great conversation about comparing the life of Minneapolis to Seattle and Chicago while waiting for food . Food was exactly what you'd expect at an IHOP. The pancakes were perfectly made. My sausage was average; wish it was a little crispier. The coffee was so strong I had to ask for a tea instead. We went to ihop for breakfast which was good except for the turkey sandwich my daughter got. The turkey was like liquid like it wasn't cooked all the way. But our breakfast was really good. My other daughters got pancakes and waffles which turned out really good. The waiter was very friendly and on top of things brought all of our meals out at one time and there was five of us. I am not a fan of IHOP: I ate at ihop only few times since 1998. This place was packed The last Saturday of 2018. Since you are only party of 2 quickly. I asked what's the best omelette and he told me the one on the wall. So I picked up that one. I'm at was good rich and I ate it all. Coffee was good and warm. Service was quick. My friend also liked her food. Place was clean. An incident happened next to us a little child dropped his cup of water on the floor and broke it in the room and silent and the little boy almost cried his parents calmed him down. Our waiter jump to kitchen came back with a piece of dessert and gave it to the boy and told him if you break another cup you'll get another piece of cake. When I put my name on the waitlist, I asked to hostess 2 times if they serve Coke products. I even said Coke not Pepsi and she confirmed yes. I ordered a Diet Coke and was brought a Diet Pepsi. If they cant handle the 24 hours with one server they should shut down. IHOP should be permanently closed if they cant handle 24 hour food. We waited 11/2 hours for food. I felt sorry for the cook. I love breakfast food and this is my favorite place to go with my boyfriend. I especially love the pancake selection and egg Benedict. Come hungry and ready to indulge. The staff is really nice but if you go on the weekend be prepared for lines. This one is located right behind the Mall of America so it can get very very busy. read more

My boyfriend and I waited 1 and a half hours for our food. Initially, we were told it was because I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and that takes longer. Then, they were waiting on fries. At some point our waitress left for a smoke break. We were falling asleep after a long day of traveling and waiting for food for so long. They were properly staffed and it wasn't busy. I will never eat at ihop again it was such a tragic dining experience. We waited so long I inhaled my hashbrowns, but they were so greasy. Maybe ihop gets their customers so hungry they have to enjoy the food they are served and it's a power play. I am still sad about this. read more

This I Hop was conveniently located next to my hotel. The staff were blah the first day I came here. I got my food to go and they seemed as if I was bothering them asking for my Togo order. When I got back to my room my food was disappointing. Ordered eggs with cheese. Well it seems the cook forgot that I asked for cheese IN my eggs and just slapped to pieces of cheese on top of the meal. This didn't keep me from going back the next day. Figured I'll give them another shot BECAUSE they're right outside the hotel. This time I dined in. Jorge was my waiter and boy was he great!! He was funny and fast on his feet. Made the experience so much better than the day before. My food was still just ok. My chicken tenders seemed to be overcooked and were hard. Pancakes were yummy tho. We came here with our 2 young kids for breakfast. We were seated within a half hour. Long wait but fine. Unfortunately it all went down hill after we sat down. We ordered promptly and waited. We waited over an hour for food. Our server Kristy came by to give us the excuse of " take out orders" causing the delay on our order. She never swing by to offer a refill on the juice for the kids who at this point were crying. When the food arrived after the hour she blamed a " power outage" on the delay. I understand it gets crowded and packed with customers. However waiting for over an hour is unacceptable. Kristy could have done the right thing but close to make excuses. Very tough meat, told the waitress about it, and she was very nice. Had my T-bone steak ready as I came back from the restroom and sat down .Original complaint was that it was tough and hard to eat. It was still hard to eat and very tough but being hungry and tired I still ate it was very disappointing from the cooks. Staff meaning the front staff was very nice and very helpful and very apologetic for the mistakes of the chefs but I would not go here and have a meat order in the middle of the night. I love this IHOP. The service was amazing. We ordered all you can eat pancakes and they were right on it, along with drinks and everything. But what sent us other the top was the manager who's name was Frank. He was so funny and nice, he had us in stitches the whole time we were there. Was in this morning, the host was amazing! Kind, funny and very informative! Set a great mood for the place. Our waiter was great, we never had to look around to get refill service, he was already on it. Even workers passing by graciously ask to clear plates as they saw we were finished. Most of the time I gripe about going to the greasy spoon breakfast joints. At least you know what to expect. The reason for this review and rating is because I missed out on taking the online survey for IHOP, but wanted to compliment the service we received from Jake. Jake was being trained in by Antonio, so most of our interaction was with Jake. He was very friendly, service-oriented and attentive. We could tell that he really cared about what he was doing and ensuring we enjoyed our breakfast. The food was good and at least this IHOP is cleaner than some of its competitors down the street, so they get extra points for that. But again, Jake is the reason for the stars for representing the company brand well, and for Antonio, who is doing a great job as a trainer. It's easy to see why they use him as a trainer. read more

Went here this morning for breakfast with the husband and a buddy. Arrived at 9AM and the wait was surprisingly only 5 minutes tops. Kate was our server and she was extremely friendly and attentive. Gave me a refill on my Mountain Dew before I was even due for one. Good job, Kate! My eyes were larger than my stomach today so I over ordered by a lot. I had the cheeseburger omelet which I was told that they just debuted last Monday. It was topped with burger, bacon, pickles and tomatoes. Yum. I chose hash browns as my side and just could not resist a half order of the new red velvet cream cheese pancakes. Everything was to die for and I will have tasty leftovers to enjoy tomorrow. Very disappointed. :( We are Americans living overseas. I came through 15 timezones with my daughter for her to have medical tests and surgery. When we finally got her out of the hospital, she just wanted IHoP, something we haven't been able to get in our 5 years living abroad. I ordered biscuits and gravy. Everything on my plate was just luke warm. I didn't want to ruin the experience for her, so I just tried to enjoy it since it was the thing she most missed from the States. When she was done eating her strawberry cheesecake pancakes, I asked her how it was. She said, "Okay. They weren't hot though. Even my hot chocolate was cool." Of you are wondering if they cooled the hot chocolate down for her, she is 17, but looks 25, so I doubt it. We waited a long time for American food in an American restaurant. This was an awful experience. I don't know what they would have done if we had told them it was not warm. I am sure they would have tried to remedy the situation. Unfortunately, we had this conversation as we walked to the car, neither of us wanting to ruin the experience for the other in the moment. Ugh. What a bummer. My SO and I really enjoy IHOP. The food (steak & eggs) we absolutely love. Now I only 2 starred this specific IHOP because of the service. We ordered online and went to go pick up. There was a line of people wanting to order their food but my SO walked up and seen our food was on the counter. Didn't say anything (mind you he's a very patient person). Our food was sitting on the counter for a good 40 mins or so while he had to wait and witness some rude customer service to other people in line.. disappointing. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. This is the second time my husband and I tried going here for food. Both times we arrived around the 11pm hour. The first time the waitress said there was a wait because they had a list, but no one else was there waiting to get a table. And all but 3 of the tables were wide open. She was very rude and so we left hungry and unhappy. The second time we tried coming, the guy said it would be a 20 minute wait for a table even though all but 4 tables were wide open. The manager of this establishment takes no responsibility for his conduct regarding our order. We arrived promptly at 4:50am for are pick up order, it was clear that they were busy. Which I have worked in restaurants for over eight years previously, so I understand 100% in regards to not having enough staff on hand. It was clear though after calling 13 times with a busy signal, as well as going in there with nobody around to reach out too this was a odd situation. We waited an hour for the phone to finally work. Keep in mine we could clearly see there was a wedding party, as well as only two servers and a bus boy. When we asked to speak to the manager who we could see through the window. He told me that there phones were working the whole time. Even though clearly they took it off the hook. We always do Curbside Orders with this restaurant for over $50 worth off food. I asked if we could have a refund at that point I was irritated the fact that he would lie by saying they were getting calls the whole time, and we could still take the food that had been sitting there for an hour. I told him I could see him on the phone, nobody had been on it. He stated they don't do refunds for online orders. I had to repeat myself four times to get fresh food, and that I would wait for it. The manager Phil has been there every time since I been there. It gets worse after receiving the order everything was completely wrong. Pictures included and didn't give the correct receipt. The manager should be fired we could clearly see the employees the whole time we wait again for another order. Not leaving the parking lot for another hour. The receipt they gave was clearly a copy, and not the original. Instead of a Happy Face Pancake for a child I received a normal one, a chicken sandwich instead of buffalo chicken tenders that looks like they rubbed something over it. This restaurant is disgusting, and clearly they need new management. I'm not sure if Phil is even his name he's older heavy set white gentlemen, who needs to take his job more seriously. I will make sure everybody knows to go to a different Ihop. I attached some photos to give a receipt like this, it honestly makes me wonder if they did something to the food too. And Phil also tried to tell me the phone was working I attached the call log as well, corporate needs to come and inspect this establishment for the customers sake.
