Going out of 2025 with a bang! I recently moved nearby and this IHOP is going to be one of my favorites food places nearby. Mainly because of the prices but also because of the service / quality of food. Our waiter Sala des eres a raise, he was doing it all and made sure we were taken care of the entire time. He was good vibes. Our meal was about $45 (without tip) and that's including coffee and orange juice AND a meal for the next day (haha). Ambiance: 3/5: it is a very small ihop. Maybe a total of 12-15 tables. Service: 1/5: even with such a small restaurant, we waited about an hour to get served. Our orders were simple breakfast dishes. Visited with friends and family sunday night for a birthday dinner and food took forever to come out food was wrong also. staff smelled of alcohol, took them a while to take our order worse part is even when explaining what we wanted to order they had trouble since again they were intoxicated. Haven't been to an IHOP in a long time, thought would give it a shot. Probably will be my last time. Nothing impressed me. The omelets were very bland, with the ingredients being on top, not inside. Didn't like that. Service was not terrible, maybe a little slower than I would expect. For 16 bucks I just expected more. I would not come back. There was maybe 3 tables in at the time. The cook messed up the order which in turn created a cold meal. On top of that I got hair in my French toast. Roxanne was very inattentive with the table. Took 20 minutes to bring a check. Another table got up to refill their own sodas! There was no discount or apology for anything. I was surprised to find an IHOP with a parking lot in the city as I haven't been to one in ages. I received some coupons in the mail so decided to give them a chance. I still find it weird they tried to pivot to burgers, but I stayed true with some standard pancakes and eggs. I went into this restaurant on a Saturday evening at about 5 PM. The restaurant was empty and had one waitress and one chef. It was like a ghost town and that's when I should've taken my clue and leave this place without placing an order. But it was a mistake and a horrid experience ensued after this. We had the spinach and mushroom Omelet which was bleh and meh. The New York style cheesecake pancakes were not so fresh for some reason. Swedish crepes were the worst. The only good thing in the entire order was the Moz Sticks - they were freshly made, so hot and fresh. Everything else was bad. The pancakes were not fluffy not even soft. The Omelet was cold, not even warm. And I do not have words to describe how bad the Swedish Crepes were. Do not waste money on this restaurant. My roommate and I went to IHOP on Wednesday November 12th at 1:33 a.m. we did not want food I just wanted a hot cup of coffee, I asked for a second cup so that she could have a cup from the same container they charged me for a simple cup not an entire pot of coffee but a simple cup we shared the coffee from one carafe not two, I was charged $8 for one carafe of coffee and two cups I could have went to 7-Eleven and paid $4 for two cups of coffee I will never go back to that IHOP again management tells me that because I asked for a second cup to be shared out of one pot that is considered another pot of coffee. I feel that that is a rip-off it is deceptive downright sneaky do not go to the IHOP at 3760 North Halsted because they overcharged you I have the receipts and video of showing that there was one craft of coffee on the table not two but they charged us for two charging a person for a empty cup of $3.59 is shameful and in my opinion theft my review on this IHOP and the waiter who was busy on his phone all night while I was there I believe his name is Solomaine the check # is242060348 can you say rip off. Breakfast for dinner, who doesn't like IHOP? They have a great late night happy hour where entrees are mostly around $6! Great thing is it's open 24 hours and pretty close to all the nightlife spots in the area. Anyway, our service was swift and friendly which is must appreciated on a night too tired to cook. But we're all about diners. Def probably one of the few places you can sit down and get some food late in the area. read more

We went there after a long day on the beach, hungry and exhausted. We went as a big group and it was fun trying to fit 6 people on one booth haha. As a no meat eater it was pretty difficult for me to pick something from the menu so I ended up getting the Spinach and mushroom omelette which came with hashbrowns and pancakes. The omelette was decent but the hashbrowns were not it. Some of friends got bacon which was just EW. They did not like it as it was super greasy, low quality and looked unappetizing. My girl friend got the strawberry and cream crepes and was somewhat happy with them. I think that the winner of the night were the chocolate chip pancakes as we all tried them and liked them. Very heavy on the chocolate but they hit the spot. At the end of the day everyone was stuffed and we ended up paying 20 each including tip. Ofc the quality is horrible there and the ingredients they use are not very "healthy". You can say that we are our calories for a few days in meal haha. Welcome to gayhop! So this is such an incredibly consistent ihop. Now I want to be clear are you getting a 5 star dining experience here? No. Are you getting a 5 star ihop experience here? Yes Why? First the staff is always ridiculously nice. They're usually doing 4 jobs while dealing with drunk people. It is beyond impressive and they are consummate professionals at what they do. Also you can get breakfast food 24hrs a day 7 days a week... what's not to love???!!! My go to is chicken and waffles, which is serviceable and cheap. An alright IHOP. The look of the restaurant is a bit dated and the restaurant seems to be a bit understaffed, but the food was delivered quickly and at a good temperature with reasonable prices. It's nice that they have a small parking lot which is convenient in an area where it can be challenging to find parking at times. This IHOP does all the familiar favorites like hash browns, chicken strips, scrambled eggs, french toast, bacon, and sausage exactly as you'd expect. Fortunately that means there are no surprises when you're looking for a reliable breakfast option. But that unfortunately means that the food is forgettable in a city with a rapidly increasing number of specialty breakfast options. I stopped in for a brunch here at IHOP and was very impressed with the place overall. Plenty of space and the staff are really friendly. Great variety of things to choose from and the food was excellent and ready quickly. Lots of different specials throughout the week too. I look forward to going back! We came mid afternoon and had a late brunch. Only a handful of people there. That's what I love about IHop, choose when you want breakfast, lunch, or both, even if you sleep in. The staff is very friendly and accommodates my boyfriend's picky palette perfectly and without complaint. They are nice, check on us often, and never get our order wrong. The food comes out quickly weekday mornings and is fresh and good. The decor isn't the nicest out there but we're there for the food, not the wallpaper.The seats at the booth was ripped open but I wasn't here to look at furniture lol I was here to eat some cheap but good food and that was well delivered. Sad day for the gay hop. Came in for some classic late-night greasy IHOP, a cherished staple from lost suburban youth... but unfortunately this visit killed that nostalgia. Waited to be sat for 15 minutes -- one server with two tables in an otherwise empty restaurant. Fine, no biggie. Order our food, 30 minutes pass, and the poor server comes out defeated saying that the one cook just walked out mid-shift... so no food for us. I get that everywhere and everyone is struggling. But I also get that there are a zillion other options, and unfortunately I think my relationship with IHOP has come to an end. read more

It is what it is. Sometimes it is great, sometimes it is lacking, sometimes you wish you ordered from somewhere else. The biggest problem I have had with them is them forgetting part of the order, which usually is something like toast or butter.
