This is a very clean IHOP with ample parking and a friendly atmosphere. Our waiter, Steve, was exceptional and made the experience so much nicer. The food is typical for an IHOP with pancakes, eggs, biscuits, etc. the coffee tasted to me like instant coffee, I wasn't impressed. But the food hit the spot for a morning where you need some flap jacks and some comfort food.

2-15-25 Chicken fingers and pancakes. Surprisingly very good.

I visited here on 2-15-25 with fairly low expectations just because I had a craving for pancakes for dinner. I was very pleasantly surprised with my meal. I had a spinach and mushroom omelette with hollandaise sauce and a side of 2 of their original pancakes. Both the omelette and pancakes were fantastic. A good sized portion with even a little left to take home. Another person who I dined with had a combination platter which included 2 eggs, ham, bacon, sausage, hash browns and 2 pancakes. And another had chicken strips and pancakes (she wasn't in the mood for the traditional waffle and chicken). I tried all the dishes and was not disappointed one bit. The restaurant was spotless and the service was very friendly. I haven't been to an IHOP in years, mainly due to what I thought was a big decline in quality and service. After this visit, I may have to work then back into my rotation. Prices were probably a little better than going to a diner and their menu choices included a good variety of dishes.

I haven't been to IHOP since pre Covid. Today, we got there just before the afternoon rush. The ambiance was quiet even though there were children at tables. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. We were seated rather quickly. My omelette was delicious. Fluffy and just enough seasonings. The avocado was fresh and ripe. One of my friend girls said she missed the holiday pancakes she's accustomed to IHOP having around this time. Our waitress who was efficient and patient said those weren't on the menu. All in all a pleasant experience despite having not been here in over two years.

This IHOP is pretty new in Farmingdale and I remember this corner space of the Airport Plaza shopping mall used to be occupied by a Chinese buffet, so it has a lot of square footage. On a Sunday, it can get pretty busy here, but we were seated rather quickly and set up with menus and coffee almost before our bottoms touched the chairs. Service here is SNAP-CRACKLE-POP! Normally, chain restaurants are tired and lackluster, but that is not the case here. Great service and freshly-cooked food served up hot are the norm at this IHOP. It's conveniently located and clean with plenty of parking, so it's all we want out of a diner. We've been here twice already and had very satisfying experiences both times, so I know we'll be back. I love a heavy duty, full breakfast on the weekends. All the breakfast combos are permutations of eggs, bacon, sausage, ham, hash browns, pancakes, french toast & regular toast, depending on your preference. Go for an omelet or splurge on the steak and eggs or the chicken fried steak. Or go with a lunch entree, if that's what you're hankering. My only beef is that the pancakes have gotten pretty small (~6") from what I remember in the past, which is unusual for a place called the International House of Pancakes. You'd think they would have the biggest pancakes around.

Tres leches pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon and hash browns

Came here with some people I work with after we worked out. I tried to order a green tea but was told they only had black tea. Our waitress didn't seem to pay too much attention when we were ordering cause she had to ask multiple questions when we ordered but overall everything came out as ordered. Everyone at the table got flavored pancakes and I tried the tres leches pancakes. They were really really good!!! I was shocked ihop could make my favorite dessert into a pancake sooo sweet. Then I got scrambled eggs with pepper jack which were perfect, some bacon and the hash browns were definitely my favorite part of the meal. It was empty here around 1 but the service was pretty mediocre as it took us a long time to get the check. That's where I docked the star. Just felt like the employees all didn't want to be there but the food was good. I actually haven't had ihop in years so I was pleasantly surprised about enjoying it!

Great, reliable breakfast food! I've been to this location on a number of occasions and especially most recently, the service from our waiter Henry was exceptional. The restaurant was clean and the food was delicious. A lovely, easy, sunday afternoon brunch.

my first time in this IHOP which used to be a Chinese buffet. the pancakes and the new French toast they had was delicious. the pancakes sausage and bacon were cooked perfectly. our waiter was one of the best I've seen in a IHOP, very friendly and courteous, sorry I didn't get his name. This place is a lot bigger than the others I've been to and there is plenty of free parking.

I suppose one should not expect that much when you're going to an IHOP, a chain that I wouldn't normally choose to dine in. The last time I was in one prior to this was 11 years ago. The only reason we ended up here is because my volunteer team with me thought it would be fun to go because "how bad could it be?" Well, pretty bad. Service was awesome. But the restaurant itself was really gross, much like the food that we got served from my turkey club to my husband's waffle and eggs to the burger one of my team members ordered. It was just blah and way over price. Who'd think that in an IHOP you'd be spending over $100 for lunch specials. There are so many better choices to choose from. Go to one of those.

IHOP has a special place in my heart. I loved going there as a little kid and I still love going there as an adult. I love their waffles - so fluffy! No complaints about the service.

They asked for drink orders and we were left alone for a long time until the drinks arrived. Though we were ready to order, the server just dropped off our drinks and went to bring another table upstairs. I went down to the counter to get someone to take our order, and it took nearly an hour before our order was in (and even then, they took the order of the second table before taking our party's order). It was almost an hour and a half since we entered the restaurant when the food finally arrived at our table, and then it took so long for someone to come with our check and process payment, we went down to the counter to do it. During this time, another family was seated upstairs and left due to not being attended to. This caused big delays in our day and I had to cancel an appointment because we spent over two hours at this restaurant when we didn't want to. That said, food was good. I got the lemon blueberry pancake, which was a little bit gummy but mostly tasted fine. My brother got the mangu, which is kinda hard to find around here, let alone on the menu of a breakfast brunch restaurant. It was my brother's first time having it, and he thoroughly enjoyed it. Besides him choosing scrambled eggs instead of fried eggs, it was very classic mangu breakfast. The real crabmeat omelet was another hit-- crabmeat was so real there were little pieces of shell lining-- really ambitious and deliciously executed. The menu is really fun and the food was overall good. Again, I think the very slow service wasn't on purpose and it's because they didn't anticipate such a large crowd on a Friday, but I would say run if they try to seat you upstairs and you're the only ones up there. Be prepared to wait for a long time if you want the reward of nice food.

That's the kind of place you'll want to linger long after your plate is empty. We had French Onion Soup, and it was everything you want from a classic. Rich, deeply caramelized onion broth with incredible savory flavor, topped with a toasted baguette that soaked up just enough broth while still keeping a little bite. The bubbling layer of melted mozzarella and Swiss stretched with every spoonful. There was a flavor I couldn't place, but had me thinking herbaceous Italian seasonings, which isn't typically the flavor profile of French onion soup, gave it a unique flavor and made every bite more irresistible. The Asian Chicken Salad was anything but ordinary. Crisp romaine and crunchy red cabbage were tossed with tender grilled chicken, crunchy cashews, and fresh scallions. We got the sesame ginger vinaigrette on the side, which struck the perfect balance of nutty, tangy, and slightly sweet. Every forkful had a fresh crunch followed by a burst of bright, savory flavor that kept us coming back for another bite. The Chicken Taco Salad arrived in a crispy tortilla shell that was almost too pretty to break into, but we're glad we did. Juicy marinated chicken, creamy avocado, fresh pico de gallo, sweet corn and black bean salsa, chopped greens, and a generous blend of Mexican cheeses were all tied together with a smoky chipotle-lime vinaigrette. Cool sour cream mellowed the gentle heat, creating the perfect combination of creamy, smoky, zesty, and fresh in every bite.

My brother has always wanted to try this place, but we never had a chance to actually step foot inside the Library Cafe. As the name suggests, the restaurant sits at the site of the old town library, and the bar area has tall shelves and a rolling ladder to pay homage to the name. To maximize the restaurant week menu, three of us tried different appetizers. The ahi tuna taco was the best of the lot- crispy shell and nicely prepared tuna filling. The Thai calamari was a little too overcooked and the sweet sauce was cloying. I didn't get to try too much of the French onion soup because my dad almost inhaled it whole, but it was gooey and comforting. I had the honey-soy glazed salmon with broccolini. The salmon was a little dry, but the glaze and cashew went well with it. Maybe a touch of spice could have improved the dish. The broccolini was nicely textured and not too bitter. My mom's fish and chips were underwhelming, though the not-proper "chips" were well fried and seasoned. It was not served with vinegar either. My brother had the Buddha bowl which he enjoyed and felt was a good health conscious option. I did love that they allowed my dad -- who was not feeling too well-- to order just an entree while the rest of the table had the restaurant week menu. I know some restaurants require all members of the table to order off the prix fixe menu sometimes. He had the burger, which was cooked very precisely to medium-rare. We did have dessert though we were stuffed at this point. The sticky toffee pudding cake was lovely, moist, and so decadent without being overly heavy. I ordered the wild berry cheesecake, and while the clearly house made berry compote was a nice touch, it was just a little underwhelming next to the sticky toffee pudding. Overall, we had a good time at the Library Cafe, and though service was a little slow due to sudden rush of diners, it was a fun little weekday dinner. I did see signs for their happy hour, which I'd love to try-- especially their cocktails named after writers!
