I phoned in my order with Ruth who was very courteous. At the end of the order my phone cut out so I wasn't sure if it would be ready when I got there. When I got there Ruth was there to great me with a nice smile. I told her I was the one who called and she explained that she wasn't sure to make the order because of the abrupt disconnect but took a chance and my order was just finishing up. Came here a few weeks ago after a run with my wife and we were starving! We both decided to go with pancakes and of course the pancakes were good! Service on the other hand was a little slow. Ether the waitress had way too many tables or she just wasn't attentive to our table. Besides for that we really didn't expect anything "grand". This is probably my favorite IHOP in OC. If you're going to splurge, this is most definitely the place to do it. Our waitress, Reyna, was able to give great advice on what was new on the menu. Went in to Try their Extra Cheesy Omelettes because i LOVE Lots of Cheese in my omelettes & IHOP always is VERY Skimpy with cheese...so i thought they might finally have come up with something good....My Omelette was Terrible.....Falsely Advertised Filled & Topped with 3 Cheeses....omelette came with NO Cheese inside & only a pinch on Top & No Cheese Sauce. Sent it back to be remade....Server got very defensive Saying the cook did it right..finally asked another person to help me..they remade the Omelette again & the 2nd omelette was incorrect as well. Had the Manager take it off the bill. Don't go here expecting food to be made right..they aren't there to please customers..only charge $18 for an omelette & rip you off in Portions. I Can't support a Restaurant that hires cooks & Servers that don't put customer s sAtisfaction first. read more

My 2nd time at an IHOP. Service was good but food was pricey. I realized dennys or norms is 2/3 of the price. The portions were stingy as well. The taste though was not what I expected. I ordered something with shorlin and the steak was cooked to perfection but the steak was sweet. I was not expecting sweet? I'm always a sucker for 24 hour IHOPs and this is the best one I've been to by a long shot. The food here is always bomb no matter how late I come, and the service is choice. Summary: - Friendly server - Fast service (likely due to timing) - Hot, delicious food - Cheap! (It's IHOP, of course it is) Came here at about 6:30 in the evening to give my cousin visiting from abroad a taste of American food. Our server was Antonio, and he was very friendly and funny - he let us pick our seats using "eenie meenie miney mo" since the place was a bit empty, and surreptitiously passed us the special menu as if it was a secret he was only giving to us. We ordered a stack of 4 Raspberry White Chocolate pancakes and the mozzarella sticks. The food came after my cousin and I took turns going to the bathroom, so I'd say the wait was about ten minutes. This was a pleasant surprise, as I'm accustomed to waiting almost an hour when I visit an IHOP in the morning. If you ever have a craving for pancakes, I highly recommend coming in around this time to avoid the crowd of people (there were maybe two or three tables occupied other than ours). (By the way, the whole place, including the women's bathroom, was clean.) The mozzarella was perfectly gooey and hot - it stretched out almost a foot when my cousin bit into it! There are five sticks, breaded in a crisp coating of herbs, that come with marinara sauce. I recommend just biting into the sticks first to get that cheese and herb flavor, and then dip into the sauce as needed if you get tired of eating just dairy and carbs. The pancakes were surprisingly good - I was worried that the pancakes would be drowning in raspberry sauce and smothered in overly sweet chocolate, but that wasn't the case. The sauce was actually a bit tart, which I found delightful, and the chocolate was distributed evenly among the four layers of pancakes, which also included a decent-sized pat of butter. I could see the steam rising from the pancakes, so I knew they were freshly done and delicious. My cousin and I finished the pancakes but only ate three of the mozzarella sticks - we took the rest to-go, to which Antonio jokingly reacted to by exclaiming "Whaaaaaa?!" Don't overestimate the eating capacity of two college-aged females on an off-and-on diet! The bill came out to 15.75, not including tip, which is great for a two-person dinner! We paid up at the front as usual for IHOP, and I came away with a newfound respect for IHOP. read more

This was my first time at this location and I am impressed! Our server was named Sandra and she was the best! I came with my husband in the morning and she was very friendly. She knew her menu and helped me chose my dish! She always made sure my drink was filled and asked if I needed anything. Her service was better than some of the 5 star restaurants I've gone to. Also what I had ordered was the classic burger with the unlimited fries and she never offered me any more, i asked if I get it once she gave us the check. I've never been so disgusted by restaurant food before, but IHOP accomplished it. Never been to IHOP before and never returning again. Thought the food be at least on par with McDonalds or Dennys. I ordered the New York Cheesecake pancakes. I didn't eat half. Pancakes were way to soggy, strawberries were frozen, and whipped creamed blanketed the cakes. I order to go for the past 4 Saturdays. My food is usually pretty good. This last time the normal employees were not there (the manager). The girl asked me twice if I already called in my order. I couldn't figure out why she didn't understand the first time I said yes. When I got home my food had black spots on it and a piece of something. ..maybe a mushroom? Came here at 2:30 in the morning because Denny's was just way too packed due to the fact that it's Labor Day weekend and everyone was taking advantage of their Monday off. I'm so happy we did. I want to update my review based on my most recent experience. IHOP takes me back to when I was a child because my dad used to work at one and every time my mom and I would come in to visit him, he'd make me pancakes with happy faces on it. So when I came in, it was my dad's birthday and I wanted to customize some pancakes to drop off at his work to surprise him. Not only did the manager accommodate my request but he also went above and beyond to make the pancakes look extra cute. He even used whip cream to make the happy face pancake look like it had hair. Please make sure you actually check your receipt before you pay. I came in the other night. I'm guessing Monday and was charged a lemonade and an iced tea. I ordered two lemonades. Last night I came to eat breakfast at this establishment in Fullerton,CA. I usually go to the one in Downey,CA but decided to eat at the one in Fullerton since I was in the area. Everything was very great from the service to being greeted and the presentation of the food. Unfortunately my wife and I ended up sick from eating the food. We usually order the build your own pancakes/French toast at the downey location and did at the Fullerton location and ended up getting bad stomach pains and a bit of vomiting.
