There's something comforting about going to chain establishments across the country. IHOP is one of my guilty pleasures. When I just want a basic, good pancake, any familiar setting this is where I normally go. I was in Orange county for a week on business, and had a little extra time in the morning so I stopped at this IHOP on Orangethorpe in Anaheim. There's plenty of parking in the parking lot so you really won't have a problem finding someplace to put your car. It was fairly early in the morning... Around 7:30.. so I wandered in. Nobody was at the front desk to greet me but the cook told me to sit wherever I wanted. So I grabbed a booth towards the back My waiter came up said good morning, and asked if I wanted coffee. He brought me water and my coffee. I appreciate the coffee coming in that carafe because then I can drink however much I want. He came back a few moments later and took my order. I ordered the split decision which was a big piece of French toast, two buttermilk pancakes, two pieces of bacon, two link sausages, and two eggs. I asked for the eggs to be fried hard. And I also ordered a milk with breakfast. A little while later he brought the food to the table, the eggs were scrambled, and no milk was in sight. I wasn't going to make a big deal about it but made a mental note when I was writing my review. I finished my eggs and a couple pieces of sausage waiting for the waiter to come back with the milk and he never showed. He looked at me from across the room, and went and grabbed some hot sauce. I asked him for the milk, he went back and got it. And that was the last I saw of him. Now if the place was busy, I get it. But it wasn't. There were only two other customers in here by myself. Having been a waiter before, I know you should check in on your customers s every once in awhile. To see if everything is okay, or if they need anything. Sadly that did not happen. Was the food good? Yes. Was the order correct? No. Unless you're really not paying attention, I can't see how it is hard to forget that the eggs are supposed to be fried hard instead of scrambled. But do I have my standards set a little high? I don't think so. In this day and age when going out to eat is costing more than it ever has, you would expect the service to be taken up a notch to make the experience good. The food was fine, service was meh. Bottom one? I don't know if I would ever come to this IHOP again. There are plenty other chains out there that put a little more focus on customer service. read more

Well now after driving by the have big flying banners outside so we decided to get some breakfast from IHOP. Well got a seat right away and quick and prompt service. Our server girl was very nice. I ordered a Mushroom and spinach omelette with extra bacon and my wife ordered the Pancakes and eggs combo. All of the food was excellent and good portion of my omelette. The food itself was decent. The service was not great though. I know it's late night at 10 pm, but we sat for 20 minutes before the waiter came to take our order. The table behind us was being served and checked on by the waiter every 5-10 minutes but we only saw her once the whole time. We kept trying to get her attention and no one came to check if we needed anything. The table next to us was seated and they left because the service took too long. When it came to the check tho she was standing there staring until we finished tipping... crazy to expect a tip when we saw you once the whole time we were there. It has been YEARS since I have last been to IHOP. I want to start off by saying that this location has exceeded our expectations, and has definitely raised the bar for other similar restaurants. Candy's hospitality and service was outstanding! My wife and I were undecided on what to order since our favorite go to items were no longer available. However, Candy was very attentive and even provided some very delicious recommendations to satisfy our cravings. You know what they say. Happy wife, happy life! Even though the dining room was busy she still took the time to check in with all the guests, and always came back to check in with us. Solid ihop location. It does get busy on the weekend so you may have to wait. Food is always good. Pancakes are always so buttery and fluffy. Coffee is like $4 but free unlimited refills. This place never fails me. Just be prepared to have smelly hair and clothes after eating here. read more

So I come to this place because they serve Halal burgers, however this is going to be my last visit. They have this rude host Aqui who treats all the halal people like trash and I can tell from his behavior, and especially if you're using rewards coins which were earned because of the fact that you're spending money at this restaurant "some body should tell him that fact", I was so humiliated and insulted by that guy when I asked for the restroom code and he said that I should use the workers restroom!!!! The food was all wrong. I ordered the waffles with strawberries. The picture on the menu showed what looked like 10 to twelve strawberries chopped up and covering most of the waffle. What I was served two strawberries in the center of the waffle. So I asked for more fruit. When it came, I put it on the waffle. Still not right but close enough. So I started to chow down. This has been the worst experience I had, ever. It started out good, we were greeted right away by multiple staff members when we walked in. But once we got sat, it felt like they forgot we were there. We waited 20 mins and nobody stopped by our table. We saw 2 servers close because they had tables close by ours, and didn't acknowledge us at all. We arrived around 1pm and it wasn't busy. I have been there multiple times and never had this experience. I have never felt so angry either. I took my family there, and for them to get treated that way isn't right. This iHop is fine. The last time I went, the waitress was very respectful and attentive to our needs. The food is middle-of-the-road food. I've come here a couple of times because the kids will eat here without too much fuss. Coffee is typical diner coffee, which I love. I always order coffee here, but one time the carafe that the coffee was in still had soap in it, and my coffee tasted soapy. I asked the waitress about it and she gave me another carafe, which ALSO tasted soapy. After the third time, they finally got it right and compensated me for the coffee. I don't know what dish clearing policies are, but sometimes with kids, I wish we could have the finished dishes cleared quickly so we have some table space for fussy kids. Dishes aren't usually cleared until we leave, and I'm pretty sure we have to go to the reception desk to handle our bill. Because I've left my check on the side of the table ready to be processed several times and it's never been picked up unless I have my credit ready right away. Some things I've ordered from here: Spicy Poblano Omelette - Decent flavor with a bit of heat. Very tasty if you're looking for a no-carb option in your diet. I had some chicken and waffles here once. I never understood the combination....but it kind of works, somehow. Coffee. I love coffee. I don't care how watered down it is usually. But if you're into boring watery diner coffee like I am. You know...when you know. In short, I would be sad if this iHop near our house closed down. When we got to the restaurant, they told us that they consider 3am Friday morning to be Thurs night so the buffet isn't until Sat & Sun. Then the flyer should advertise that! Very weird. I unfortunately had to take my food to go due to my crying baby. But as soon as we got home my boyfriend noticed his Colorado omelette didn't have any of the meats it describes on the menu, it was just all egg. My has brown were so burnt and I wanted them well done. My server was gonna asked to get them corrected but the cooks were taking forever to cook everything I just let it be.
