It was National Pancake Day today March 3rd and visited my local IHOP to enjoy the free short stack pancakes. I got here between 2-3 in the afternoon to get a table before the made rush of everyone getting out of work and school. As I was leaving the crowds were forming waiting for tables. It came with three big pancakes and they were very light n fluffy just the way I like them. Cooked golden brown and consistently cooked to perfection. The service couldn't have been better. Friendly service with a bottomless pancakes with a variety of sauces. The spicy poblano omelet was tasty but relatively mild in flavor, no worries, hot sauce to the rescue. Coffee served with personalized carafe was perfect since the air conditioner was working overtime to cool my cup of joe. Don't sleep on the biscuits, they might not have thw structural integrity for any filling, they are tasty with butter and drizzle of strawberry syrup, IMO. read more

This continues to be our favorite local bfast spot. The servers are mostly long time employees so they know what they're doing and are efficient. Our Vegas, bacon and hash browns were cooked perfectly. Their pancakes are always the best! We use their app and generous loyalty program and this visit got a free shirt stack of pancakes. Oh no! Customer service and honesty are completely lacking. Restaurants says open till 3 AM. Arrived at 1:55 and was told we stopped seating at 2 AM by loud unruly employees blocking doorway. It wasn't even 2 AM yet. The employees didn't wanna work. Clearly. The kitchen didn't wanna work according to the people at the door. I didn't know kitchen's work! Clearly either the corporate policy is to deceive people into driving here in the middle of the night only to disappoint them or the employees simply lie so they can go home early. Either way this is the only IHOP this has ever occurred to me at and I've eaten at hundreds around the country. This must clearly be the worst. Service - quick, fast, and friendly! Everyone was very welcoming from the moment you step in, to when you leave. Ambiance - open space, but wasn't too rowdy. Food - so many options to choose from, i haven't been in a long time. But i was so happy to see the range, i couldn't decide on what to get. Their southwest chicken bowl was delicious Drinks - I ordered a coffee, usually i ask for honey but they ran out. It was okay I went for their sugar/cream instead. Went on a random weekday and it was very busy at 11am. I think they were a bit short staffed so we had to wait a few minutes to sit but once we did the service was super fast and efficient. Stopped in for a late lunch and were seated immediately. Decided to order breakfast instead of lunch. Ordered two eggs over medium, hash browns, rye toast, and eggs Benedict. Waited for what seemed like a long time when our server came out to say they were out of English muffins and what would I like as a substitute. Chose sourdough toast. Food finally arrived with the eggs Benedict looking not quite right. Even through the hollandaise sauce I could te the eggs were overcooked. And cutting into them proved I was correct, pretty much like hard boiled eggs. Server did offer to do something else for me but usually doing that means they are rushing the food and it could be worse than the original. The sourdough toast was toasted on one side, both sides would have been good. The bacon for the eggs over medium was asked to be cooked extra crispy but it was just barely cooked. Fortunately the bacon with the Benedict was crispy so a swap was done. Home fries with the Benedict were asked to be extra crispy but that didn't happen either. Our server was very pleasant and tried to help as much as she could and to her credit took off the Benedict off the tab. Was also told the manager would stop by but that didn't happen. She wasn't attentive at all and totally ignored me and my kids to tend to other guest who was of the same color as her. It was National Pancake Day when I went here. Great food with pleasant employees who were courteous. Service isn't all complaining! They do serve new fish & chips which makes Friendly's a competitor as they also serve that entree as well. That's what I had alongside the free stack of pancakes I had on National Pancake Day. It's one of my favorite actual chain restaurants of all. I've been to this location multiple times since Applebee's was originally in that building before IHOP took over. read more

Went here on a Sunday at 10am. Placed our order. Nothing fancy...eggs, bacon, homefries and pancakes. Waitress was nice and got our drinks right away. 15, 20, 25, 40 minutes passed and still no food. The 4 other parties that got seated after us got their food and the MANY to go orders were fulfilled but we were forgotten about. We left and went somewhere else. Won't be going back. Issue is the cooks are bombarded with to go orders and take those over the in house patrons. Not fair to the in house patrons or the servers looking for good tips. read more

About what you expect. Basic service, decent food, old atmosphere, high price. I'm kind of running out of local breakfast places to try. I've had my fair share of chains, so when I go into these types of places I don't have high expectations. I go into this specific location and the single server was busy running orders. After about 5 minutes she runs over and seats me. I'm guessing this specific location might have a bit of a staffing issue. The decor, very much out of the early 90s. Gives me a bit of that TGIFridays or Sizzler's vibe. Low-backed seats, neutral color tones, very low divider walls, those big tube cushions that line the seating bench. It's old, but within my generation so I didn't mind it much. Didn't see anything interesting on the specials menu, so I opted to do their low calorie breakfast option. Figured I would see how their protein pancakes match up to the real deal. Also get some protein in and not ruin the days calorie bank. The eggs and sausage come out first. Both swimming in a good amount of oil, which kind of negates the healthy aspect of the dish. Nothing is seasoned, so it was up to me to salt, pepper, and ketchup the heck out of everything to get it to a decent standard. Eggs were generic egg whites, the plant-based sausage patties had a decent flavor to them. Unseasoned, but a hard sear and a decent texture. Pancakes came out after. Server was kind enough to inform me that they screwed up the pancake order and sent out the regular stack rather than the protein stack. I appreciate the honesty, and she was really busting her hump making sure the 15 people in the store were served all on her lonesome. So no faults on the server. When the protein pancakes come out, they have two decent sized mounds of whipped salted butter right on top. Pretty sure those are not part of the menu calorie counts, but those are easy enough to remove. Do a little drizzle of full sugar pancake syrup, and give them a try. Not bad pancakes, all things considered. Fluffy enough, tender, they don't feel like a diet food. Granted, they don't really have decadence either. But overall they are a solid pancake. Bill came out to 18 bucks including the coffee. So it's high for what you get. If you want some generic food or manage to use their app to score some freebies, then this place is a spot to get some breakfast. The ihop in Manchester is more times than not a hot mess we would go a few times the rarely have all the ingredients when you order something, some times the food comes out cold. It seems they are not supervised. We ordered something off the table tent and we were informed we could not have it for that price, I guess it's a good idea keeping eople coming back. Seems like most time the inmates are in charge of the asylum. We have no plans of going back. Craving pancakes this morning took me to the place known for them: IHOP. It's been a long time since I've been there and the place was pretty busy mid morning on this very cold Saturday. It's a big place though, so tables were available. Coffee was decent & not weak - they put a small carafe on the table for you to take more as you need. It was clean & comfortable inside too. Pancakes - I had the regular buttermilk ones - short stack (3 medium sized ones). Fluffy, good taste but pricy - just under $9. But it's a pancake place, so they have to make money from them, right? Our server ( wish I got her name) was so nice, and had us laughing. Nice way to start the day. So I'll go back, but probably not for a while; next time I get a pancake craving. read more

Sitting in the old Applebee's building in the small plaza at the east end of the Buckland mall this place might be easy to miss if you aren't looking for it. I've been here quite a few times since it's been open and as some reviews have stated the service can be hit-or-miss at times. That being said, I last stopped here for a semi-late breakfast on a Saturday and it was busy as you might expect. The manager was working in a number of areas and she kept everything running smoothly. From clearing and seating tables to taking care of the steady stream of dine-in and carry-out customers she was going above and beyond for the customers AND her employees. The wait was not bad and the service was quick and friendly despite the rush. Food arrived as ordered and without too much wait. Because this is a chain I start with a default four stars and even though I've had a few less than ideal experiences here they are putting in the work needed to make it better. Simple, Easy, Fast. IHOP is a great food chain and has a variety of options. I love how easy it is to get a seat and the service is always good here. The varying omelettes are good, or so I have heard. The simple two eggs with cheese and hash browns are always a good option here and is consistent with other chains in the state. It is completed with orange juice. One thing I will say is that their machines were down but they seated us pretty quickly. It is a nice place and the atmosphere was just fine. read more

For sides we had Turkey bacon strips, now really who has Turkey bacon any more? It was great also! Rose got bacon strips cooked a Specific way, it was made according to her directions! The lay side we got was Crispy Potato Pancakes, so good, just wish they had apple sauce with them also, bummer, I forgot to ask. My only complaint because I don't know if she's aware but my glass was broken by the lip, like someone 'scooped' the ice with the glass. So she took my cup & brought me another cup of the wild berry lemonade in a plastic cup, ice included! Even though I asked her not to include the ice. I did explain why also. Service: There was only one girl working! I felt awful for her, she was the only one waiting tables. It took forever for us to be seated, and then it also took a while to get our order in. After that our food took a reasonable amount of time. She was so stacked with work it was hard to catch her to ask for things. She even mentioned they only have one person working at nights, even though it can get busy. Ambiance: Cold! Music was a little loud. Other than that it was very clean- they even had a guy that was only cleaning tables. Food: I had the Cinnamon Bun Crepes with strawberries. It was pretty authentic- it tasted exactly like the Pillsbury dough cinnamon rolls, different texture but pretty close. I also had the Scrumdiddlyumptious Strawberry Hot Chocolate. While waiting, the waitress never came back to check on us or explained why it took so long. Two other tables which sat down after us even got their food before us. At arrival, there wasn't a wait or a line. The seater was working on sitting someone down as we checked in. We were informed that they would be right back to seat us. We sat down to help as a party of 4 walked in and waited in line. The staff immediately took them and sat them. Waitress: The waitress, Brianna, seemed extremely unhappy and frustrated. She kept slamming things on the table and constantly forgot items such as the drinks, napkins, and utensils. The waitress did not check up on our drinks for refills or ensure that everything had arrived. Food quality: I ordered a tropical mango twist and got a lemon twist soda. We also ordered two Oreo milkshake that came out extremely messy and not made the way that it was portrayed. The whip cream was melting all over the cup and there seemed to be strawberries in the cup. In terms of food, we ordered a Mexican churro pancake and got a Tres Leche with whip cream half on and off the plate. Cheap bacon, the eggs might be real but...I'm guessing, the hash browns are about the same as Dennys. Service wise, if somebody notices you standing at the door waiting for a table, and you haven't left already after waiting five minutes, then you should be alright.
