Me and my family go here frequently - usually on nights. Went here on a sunday morning and it was pretty packed. Our server was not very pleasant and seemed like she would rather not be working that day. We had someone new to the place with us and she seemed irritated that the person we were with was asking about things from the menu. It certainly did not leave a good impression. Food was ehhh. The wait servers are real nice folks, pleasant and polite; a nice touch today when so many places don't care about the customer. The service is fine for the most part bit some balls a little slower than others and service falls off during a rush as can be expected. While the food quality is average; disappointing considering they offer a "specialty" faire. The food prices are high, too high and, IMO, out of line with other restaurants. The general manager at this location should not be working in the hospitality industry at all. I am a driver for a food delivery service and I picked up a breakfast order from him this morning Saturday August 15th 2020. I asked him if everything was in the bag for the customers order to reply to me yes it is all there. After I drop the food off to the customer a customer let me know that there were no drinks with his order that he had ordered.. Got a quick bite with some friends play tonight. Service was pretty quick and we got our food less than 20 minutes in the restaurant. Way to go on the staff there was only one guy and he did a lot and still took care of other tables so definitely a good experience I can't complain the food was cooked exactly in pretty good. Service was horrible! Our waitress Dawn was so rude. She sat us at our table right behind us waiting to be seated were her friend's after the hugs and chit chat about life with her friends she proceeded to take their order that was fine whatever were a party of 6 we can wait. .. She then went to tend to other tables I had to go ask her if she planned on taking our drink orders, she then told me "Maria" was bringing us water shortly. Maria was a lady in La Quinta uniform that didn't even work for IHOP. When Dawn finally made it to our table about 15mins later she got snippy and said "are you ready to order now because I am here by myself tonight." The meals we picked were served as described, and our server was attentive to us. They could have better crowd control though. When we ate there, a parent and child were playing their iPad quite loudly (full max speakers) so everyone can hear off-brand Disney song versions. Restaurant's side could have been to accomodate the family or relocate them. There were other families with kids at that time too. They weren't rude as aforementioned family. I have been coming here for about 6 years! It's decent and they recently expanded and remodeled. The food is always good. The waitresses have gotten my order wrong more than I can count. There are a couple waitresses who I love there but there are a couple rude ones. One of the last times I was there the waitress who helped us had the worst attitude ever! She kept giving me dirty looks the whole time and I just thought that was odd. She was a blonde, tall, overweight girl with tattooed eyebrows. I forgot her name but damn if she is having a bad day, she needs to learn and control it. I felt so uncomfortable and I started showing it so she ended up switching tables with her coworker. I was told this location was good. They were right. Shannon was great. I have worked as a server since 1998. They say we are the hardest to please. Well, she Wowed me. Watching her interact with us, the other guests and the other waitstaff was great. The food was excellent and we recieved it quickly. The location is clean and the staff is clean in appearance. I'd like to give Miriam some recognition for her wonderful service! She's very sweet, attentive, and overall, provides excellent hospitality! She greeted us upon arrival and asked us how we were doing and immediately, we hit it off with conversation. She complimented us for being nice to her because her prior customers were very rude to her (which of course infuriates me because it's not that hard to be a DECENT HUMAN BEING to someone). Think over all .. Ihop as a company just sucks and doesn't care about customer service. The app barely works and none of the employees seem to know anything about the app or why it doesn't do this or that. I was very pleased with this IHOP. I have been to a variety of IHOPs on free pancake days, but this was the best. We had very little wait time on that Tuesday morning. We were created almost imediately. The waitress even took the time to get my son water without ice due to his cough. Our short stacks came out right away. The service and food was delicious. Bad experience today it's my husband birthday, we decided to go to Ihop on Hospitality Lane, San Bernardino, at the front entrance check in stand was present manager Salvador, as usual we check in as well I mentioning Salvador about my husband birthday, he replied with sorcasim rude, bad atittude he said that we could obtain a coupon on line tuther than assist us to get one, the store was not busy there was enough staff to provide service, the manager did not come to our table to wishing my husband a happy birthday even my husband showed him his Drivers license for birthday proof, this is really upsets me because my husband always take us there for our meals. The only reason why I even gave this place an extra star was because of Denise and the food was as expected (typical IHOP food). She was attentive and kind. The rest was horrible. There was another review that said this place was ghetto, and I can definitely agree with that. All the waitresses looked and acted like they hated their jobs. The one smile I saw had to be the most fake smile I have ever seen. When we were paying, a customer of Chelsea's came up to pass on a tip and a compliment. Chelsea's response was an annoyed look at first, then she smiled with the most FAKE smile I have ever seen with her face following her customer all the way out. Once the customer left, the smile immediately disappeared, she rolled her eyes, and said "Well, wasn't she a blessing" very sarcastically. IHOP, I remember coming here a lot when I was just a little girl & now that I'm grown, married children I don't come here as much because of the many changes that have taken place over the years. For instance, when I was little I remember the menu consisting of breakfast all day & pancakes done !00 different way or french toast dripping with syrup! But these days I don't eat here as often, ever since they started listing the calorie intake per meal, that really sucked. Because now I feel guilty seeing how many calories I could consume in one meal & I don't like the feeling of consuming all my calories for the entire day in one meal. the last time we ate there was a few weeks ago at which time we were seated immediately, the waitress was very friendly and took our order right away and in approximately 15 minutes later she brought our food out. I have been to this location a handful of times over the years, and this morning my kids wanted pancakes, I didn't feel like cooking, and Boysenberry syrup sounded really good for some reason. Got the kiddos dressed and loaded them into the Jeep. Headed over. We were seated almost immediately, and the kids were handed kids menus and crayons while the Hostess showcased the seasonal menu like a chick on "The Price Is Right." Very friendly like. Informed the kids of their options, and they made their choices quickly. My 4 yr-old Daughter then had to use the bathroom. So I took her into the Mens room. I was surprised to find it completely clean and dry. Did some desanitizing as a precaution anyways, and washed her hands (and mine) and returned to our table. The kids food came out as I was barely getting a chance to order mine. We always order the kids food first, as they eat really s-l-o-w-l-y, as we repeatedly remind them to EAT! My Son Roman ordered Nutella Crepes w/ Bananas. They came out looking impressive to a 5 yr-old, and he dug in immediately. He liked them very much, but I think they were a bit too sweet for him. He finished most of them, but he couldnt clean his plate. Maybe we should have asked for the Nutella on the side. My Daughter got the 5 mini-pancakes plate w/ Bacon and Scrambled Eggs. She liked the pancakes, but not as much as the Bacon and eggs, which she wolfed down. She ate 2 out of the 5 pancakes and decided she was full, even showed me her dystended tummy. I got a Sampler Breakfast. Two buttermilk pancakes, two bacon, two sausage, two eggs, two pieces of ham, and an order of hashbrowns. The pancakes are from IHOP, so they are ALWAYS good, Especially with some extra butter and boysenberry syrup. That syrup is so good, that when I crave it, I will come to IHOP just for it. The bacon is good, cooked perfectly with not too much fat. The sausage is OK. I'm just not a big fan of the taste or texture of it. The eggs are eggs, the same everywhere. The ham was alright, not as dry as I thought it looked. Wish I would have asked for some mustard to dip it in. The hashbrowns seemed a bit stale on the inside, dry and hard on the outside. Meh. The coffee is quite good here, and they always hook up a full urn at your table. I like that. The water here is definitely filtered, it tastes great and is clean and refreshing. Came in today 10/17 ordered to go for my break at work later. I ordered a Cobb salad with crispy chicken and no blue cheese extra bacon and when I opened it, 1/4 of my salad was filled with blue cheese. There was barely any bacon in it. The service was ok but I had to waste 5 mins of my break to scoop out all the blue cheese. Maybe I'll come back and try something else but the salad was whatever. I recently gave up daily coffee because I wanted to go back to having the occasional coffee on a Sunday morning at a greasy diner. This hit the spot. Unlike many of the reviews here, my server was very nice and pleasant. She didn't pressure me to finish eating, taking up a booth all to myself, even though the place was filling up. And the food was just the way I wanted it: Fried and filled with meat and carbs. I don't do pancakes, so I can't testify on their signature dishes. But the food was as expected. The coffee was strong, but then again, I did give up coffee -- my tastebuds may be skewed. A place I'd come back for the lazy Sunday mornings. read more
