Strawberry biscuit
Doug J.

Needed a place for breakfast near the mall while wife was shopping. It was a busy Sunday morning but we didn't have to wait to long. I felt the staff was really hustling to get people seated, orders taken and food prepared. I forgot how massive the menu was- plenty of options for different tastes. Wife had the steak omelette that came with three pancakes. She was very happy with taste of the steak. The servings were very generous and looked appealing when served. I had a difficult time making a decision but settled on the Strawberry biscuit. The biscuit was so good and the fresh strawberries were excellent. Unfortunately it must have sat under the heat lights a bit as the whipped cream had melted down. The biscuit could have been my meal though, it was a good size. I ordered the combo and made my way through a couple of scrambled eggs, two link sausages, and a serving of hash browns. The eggs were fluffy, sausage seasoned well, and hash browns were grated cooked crunchy outside and tender in middle. Very large meal for the price. Our server Faith, was busy but she got our order in, served it nicely, checked on us, and got our check prepared timely. She and other staff were hopping but maintained a smile and took care of customer needs. I was impressed with the way the staff supported each other doing their job and helping others as needed. I overheard a conversation between server and cooks when part of an order had been left out. Rather than yelling at each other the the two simply acknowledged a mistake had been made and went about solving problem quickly. I am confident they worked at helping customer know how sorry they were for mistake. It happens but hopefully we can all take a breath and know it was an unintentional. Normally we enjoy non chain restaurants but I have to admit it has been a long time since we both felt so good about the quality of our food and the service. Definitely consider this IHOP for your future breakfast needs.

We enjoy the good food and excellent service. Hailey, Christina, Korbin, and many others serve with a smile and are a pleasure to see.

This place hot the spot. Mmmm my pancakes tasted delicious. Came here for dinner I actually love having breakfast for dinner one of my favorites. Servers were friendly and attentive to our needs. We tried the cannoli it was not overly sweet which was nice. Fun fact I didn't know kids eat free from 4-10 everyday.

Sampler good size for breakfast and pancakes with it.

We have yet to have a bad experience here. As I'm sure many of you know not all chains are created equal. This is one of the better ones.

Our server was very busy, handling both the bar and restaurant areas. We all started with appetizers, which we shared. Fried green beans were good, kind of spendy. The onion rings were great and the tarter they came with was nice. The mozzarella sticks were good, the marinara was cold and chunky. For meals, two of us went with their Irish Stew, salad, and absolutely delicious cornbread. Our other friend tried their Burnt End sandwich. She said it was really good. What I really wanted was BBQ turkey, which is on their online menu but not on the menu in the restaurant. It was a good experience and we'll definitely give them another try in the future.

The Mad Cow Reviewer…read more Well, color me udderly impressed! I wandered into McKracken's Irish Pub in Spokane Valley after a long day chewing cud and was greeted with the warmest "moo" of hospitality I've felt in ages. The owner clearly knows how to make everyone--two-legged or four-hooved--feel right at home. Let's start with the Guinness--cold, creamy, and poured with care. It's enough to make a bull tear up with joy (and that's saying something). The Irish stew? Hearty, rich, and packed with flavor. The cornbread is the real surprise--soft, slightly sweet, and perfect for soaking up the last bits of stew. Whoever's in that kitchen deserves a medal--or at least a salt lick of appreciation. They've got WiFi, so you can update your herd on your dining adventures, and the regulars add to that cozy, small-town pub vibe. Karaoke on Fridays is a real treat too--nothing like hearing a few pints in patrons belt out "Don't Stop Believin'" while I hum along in low, soulful moos. All in all, McKracken's is the kind of place that makes you want to settle in, loosen your bell, and stay awhile. Great food, cold beer, friendly faces--what more could a mad cow ask for? -- The Mad Cow Reviewer

I'm a bull of simple tastes and strong opinions. I graze where I live, and I take notice of who…read morefeeds the herd around here. Hangry's is in my pasture--my neck of the woods--and because of that, I want it to win. When Hangry's first opened, I remember lifting my head from the grass and thinking, Now that's something different. A small, independent burger stop with real personality. Not a franchise. Not a copy-and-paste joint. Real food, real effort, real care. Burgers with heft. Flavors with backbone. Portions that didn't insult a full-grown cow like myself. There was pride in the grill and warmth behind the counter. You could feel it. That's why this is hard to chew on. The food is still good. Let me be clear--I'm not saying it's bad. But the spark has dulled. The uniqueness that once set Hangry's apart has lost some of its flavor. The service doesn't carry the same energy it once did. There's a tension in the air now, a kind of hangry mood that doesn't come from hunger, but from strain. It feels less like a place excited to serve, and more like a place trying to survive. And that worries me. Because I don't want Hangry's to become just another Zip's. Another forgettable stop where burgers are churned out without soul. This place was never meant to be that. It was meant to be a friendly, fun, neighborhood joint--high quality, generous portions, bold flavor, and people who cared deeply about what they put on the plate and how they handed it across the counter. I know running a business is hard. Even a cow understands that. Starting strong is one thing; staying sharp is another. Motivation fades. Criticism piles up. The grind wears you down. But the answer isn't to lower the bar--it's to return to the basics. To remember who you were when you started. To cook like you still have something to prove. To serve like every customer matters, because they do. Hangry's doesn't need to reinvent itself. It needs to refocus. Quality first. Pride back in the process. Fresh eyes on the food. Confidence instead of survival mode. If that happens, this place won't just hang on--it will thrive. This bull is rooting for you. You're in my pasture, and I want you here for a long time. Get back to your roots, sharpen your edge, and remind us why we noticed you in the first place. This cow is all in.

I was in absolutely no mood for Olive garden but thought Spokane might have some nice country fried steak. Did a quick Google search and this place came up. The steak portion size was super generous and it was covered with gravy. I cleaned up my plate. This dish was perfect. I got the eggs, biscuit and slaw ( did some subs) and they didn't disappoint as well. This is a small, probably family managed place. Don't expect anything fancy and all that jazz. Come here if you want some good chicken fried steak. They also had a bunch of burger options.
