I don't usually come here because of the generic food but sometimes your choices are made for you. When you are with a handicapped person it really matters how far away you are from the door, after driving around forever in Mineola looking for a place to eat that has a parking lot we saw this IHOP. As we walked in I saw a beautiful sign for the original chicken sandwich and that's it, I had to have it. Boy that marketing really got me. I was really looking forward to this yummy vision but my reality is the crispy chicken was sooo crispy that I could barely find the chicken. There was so much crisp and barely any chicken. I did remember hearing that they now do BURGERS but who would of thought they would actually be good. I asked my Mom to try her burger since I was still hungry after the disappointing chicken. This was my first time at IHOP trying out their savory dishes. I was in the mood for fish and chips so I ordered the fisherman's platter which cane with fish and chips and shrimp with a side of tartar sauce. It was delicious! My friends ordered the French toast with banana foster which was AMAZING! We had another order of steak omelette and fried steak both which I didn't try but my friends said they were tasty! As for drinks, most of us stuck with regular coffee but one of us got the mint hot chocolate (the Grinch special) which was way too sweet to drink. Writing on all my experiences here in general. The first time we waited about 40-45 mins for our meals. Table of 6 with 1 kid. A couple of us had to have our food reheated. I think they were waiting to bring everything out all at once, but after a certain point any one of us would've started eating regardless. The crowd that day was pretty busy but it was my first time ever having to wait that long for a meal at any ihop even with being busy. Second time was fine. Third time was today (a Tuesday @1pm) for FREE pancake day. 2 of us walked in and were seated within a minute. Food came out within 10. Very smooth experience and the donation that's hoped for, with pancakes being free, wasn't pushed on us. Food is always good. Staff is friendly. Needed to have a little Ihop love/comfort food after a long day of visiting a loved one. G had the chicken spinach crepes. Those things are huge and he said they were very tasty. They come with hollandaise sauce but G is not much of a sauce guy so he did not apply the sauce. I had the special, sort of build your own breakfast, 2 eggs, bacon, hashbrowns and French toast. Everything was cooked to order and the bacon was crispy just as I ordered it. Because I only ordered the standard French toast they gave me 4 pieces (2 pieces cut in half) which was way too much for me. G ended up eating most of the French toast and loved it. This location is always packed Monday through Sunday, parking lot is small and tight but the food and service is decent, which keeps me coming back every time for their breakfast. Not to mention, my kids love it here! I'm really not a breakfast person but their hot coffee is so addicting, I don't know what it is. I drink like 3-4 cups along with my meal. Their french toast is pretty good too, just a tad thick for my taste. I think their food is slightly better than diner food even though they serve the same thing just cooked differently. I ordered their classic breakfast, which consists of 2 slices of buttered toast, hash browns, bacon and sausages. Everything tasted decent besides the toast (not toasted enough), plus I had to finish my son's scrambled egg, which was pretty good and I usually hate it scrambled. I think they put a lot of butter in the egg, definitely not seasoned with salt and pepper. The staffs are all very friendly and nice and the service I received these last 2 times I went was good. Birthday breakfast. This review is way overdue so its time i write it now. only 3 months later. but i remember my experience like it was yesterday. I came here with my parents for my "birthday breakfast" My mom still has us signed up for their birthday emails. I came here with the intention of ordering what the coupon was valid for. a free Junior breakfast. any other substitutions we would pay the difference. we gave the waitress our coupon so she brought it back saying its not valid. we failed to read that in tiny print is only juniors meaning under 12! what had me confused is on their website it doesn't say one has to be under 12. naturally the manager came over and had rectified the situation. he said i normally cant honor this but because i know the waitress put it in as that i will honor it. he was very nice about it. i told the manager i am embarrassed about the mishap. but i asked why would the IHOP generate an email if it knows my DOB is way after the age of a 12 year old. overall the situation was handled. the breakfast food we ordered came out as ordered. my dad ordered one of the summer promotions and it was delicious. read more

Ordered breakfast take-out during COVID and food was ready for pickup when it was expected, which is great because we wanted to avoid unnecessary wait time during the pandemic. The food was also packaged nicely, with pancakes separated from eggs and meat, to avoid soggy food. They definitely made it convenient for us during these tough times. Worst experience at IHOP....never coming again! We waited over an hour to get our food and it was 6 of us. Two of my friends got black coffee and that took over 20 mins...to get black coffee. I ordered a T-Bone steak & eggs and the waiter asked how would I like the steak and I said medium. Bruh my steak was completely cooked, over cooked, it was disgusting, I had to force myself to eat my food because it was pricer than the other stuff on the menu. I ain't gonna waste food, my momma taught me well, I ate half of it, wanted to puke. The check came so fast to us but took 1.5 hours to receive 6 meals. I looked at the menu online prior to going bc I wanted to make sure I chose something that even if it were completely botched, the dish would still look mildly appetizing. Obviously, I had very low expectations for IHOP. But all of that preparation and pondering was totally unnecessary because what the came out from the kitchen and onto our table was glorious. The Bananas Foster Brioche French Toast = warm, perfectly sweet, soft, and it looked good (presentable). I also got a plate of hash browns, scrambled eggs, and sausages. My brother ordered the chicken and waffles; the chicken tenders were so crispy, I was blown away. The waffle pieces were crunchy and soft. Halfway into the meal, I had to ask myself, what had I been doing all my life? Why had I not gone to an IHOP earlier? I've been missing out; I could have eaten at IHOP so many times by now. Hi, I went to this establishment on Monday February 3rd, my fiancé is pregnant and after her usual check up at katz women's hospital, she wanted IHOP, so we decided to drive straight to this location. My fiancé ordered the breakfast sampler & I ordered the meal with the T-bone steak. All was fine, until my steak came. The left side of my steak felt like it was plastic, trying to cut this piece of meat, was in itself a workout, but I let it be. Later that night, I became ill with stomach virus like symptoms, vomiting, Dirrea, cramping in the stomach. Mind you, this was me and my fiancé's ONLY, meal for that day so nothing else could have caused this. I wAs in pain, could not move but luckily she took care of me u til I felt better. Now here is where things get crazy. The following day, my fiancé did not want to eat or drink anything, so I took it as maybe, she just doesn't want anything. Around 9pm February 5th, she complains to me of extreme stomach pain & she was vomiting and had Dirrea as well, we rushed to the hospital and she as well, has caught a stomach virus. Now, February 6th, at the hospital again because she does not feel any better because of this establishment. SHE IS PREGNANT, going into her third trimester, she could have LOST, our baby because we ate at this ihop. Simply giving 3 stars for the food and taking 2 off for customer service. I had a birthday reward from them to enjoy a free stack of worlds famous pancakes, which was valid until April 14th. One of those random days when I was like absolutely craving pancakes and thought of using my birthday treat. Went there on April 13th ordered strawberry banana pancakes and southwest scramble w/ hash browns (had a big appetite that day) for myself. Food was great, I truly enjoyed my food. Once I was presented with my bill the waitress told me we cannot honor the birthday coupon because 1) the manager is not present to put the code in the computer 2) we cannot honor unless printed simply because they don't know if I am going to reuse it. This is pretty pathetic for you to think I cannot afford pancakes on my own without your birthday treat offer and ya I am so desperate to just use it again and again. This is my favorite IHOP locations because of the staff. My friends and I always take too long to figure out what we want to order but the waitress that we always get is so patient. Additionally, our food is always brought out on time, and the waitresses always come back to ask if we need anything else and are always really nice when we order more. This is a location that I will always come back to not only because of the amazing waitresses but also because of the amazing quality of food. Also, the wait time has never been long for me. It all started one summer night. My dad drove me to this specific IHOP to chill and dine with my fellow peers. I decided I would order the Monster Burrito, as I am a big guy. This is where it went downhill. The Monster Burrito was left on the counter for over 1 hour, therefore collecting dust and becoming inedible. Along with that, the service was unsatisfactory. For starters, the waiter never visited or checked upon our table after taking orders. Secondly, the waiter had a very negative attitude. I ordered breakfast sampler, it comes with 2 eggs. 2 bacon strips, two sausage, 2 hams, hash browns & 2 pancake. Pancake is fluffy and good. My sunny side eggs cook to perfection, bacon is good. But the Ham is way over cook, it's like ham jerky, the sausage is burn, hash browns is way over cook, I love a little crispy, but those are not crispy, is hard like a rock. The severe is good. Party of six here, great food and service all around. All you can eat pancakes are an awesome price, and the portions are huge for most dishes. The English muffin I got with the size of my hand, and so was the hash brown. Pancakes are pretty good, as are the crepes and eggs. Server was very accommodating and helped us quite often! Like the fact they have sugarfree syrup, and that they also serve options like pigs in a blanket and eggs Benedict. Beautiful location, but it gets crazy crowded at noon. Wish our table had more space so I wasn't hitting my elbow every five seconds, but the food was good so I can deal with it. I always get good service here. Came here for dinner today. Burgers are pretty good and so are the seasoned fries. Love that it is family friendly. Macaroni and cheese dinner with fruit for the kids is always yummy and the fruit always fresh. This place is pretty clean along with their restrooms. If you don't see something you don't like on the menu they will make exceptions. Such as I didn't want a bacon burger and that was all that was listed...I asked if they could just make a plain cheeseburger and that was not an issue at all. The apple lemonades I had were delicious and the free refills on that were pretty awesome to boot. I once had a caesar salad here as well which was very fresh and comes with a seasoned toasted garlic bread. My salad had a darker romaine lettuce which was good but I prefer iceburg. read more

Came here on a spontaneous decision. First time at this iHOP location. I happened to come during their iHOB burger promotion, so I decided why not get a burger for $6.99 with unlimited fries and a free drink? I ordered a classic burger with bacon. The food was pretty good. My server. Maybe she was having a bad day. Like I said before, I intended on paying $6.99 for the burger promotion. What I didn't realize was that the classic burger was the only burger part of the promotion, so I paid about $12 just to have bacon added to a classic burger.. lol. Maybe I just didn't read the menu closely enough so I don't blame her, but I just feel like any decent person would clarify certain things. On top of that, apparently the only drink you can get with the deal is Pepsi. Which was fine to me, but it was weird because the menu reads "free drink" not "free Pepsi." I guess there might be a lot of fine print in this menu that I didn't notice. Honestly, maybe the presentation of their menu is just misleading. Either way, whatever. lol. I didn't analyze the menu again after the fact. Oh well. But this is not the reason why I'm only giving 3 stars. She also ended up forgetting about my Pepsi. I reminded her when she finally came to check on us, but at that point I was already 80% done with my meal. I had to wait at least another 5 minutes for my Pepsi, so by the time I got it, I was pretty much done with my meal. When she brought over the check, we noticed a charge for the Pepsi. Naturally, I asked her for clarification to which she explained that the cashier will take the Pepsi charge off at the time of payment. Okay.. but I felt like this was completely avoidable had she explained this when giving us our check. Without being given any explanation beforehand, it just seemed like we were being played dirty and just being charged for more money..... pure lack of communication. Finally, when we went to pay for the meal, the cashier didn't even take the charge off for the Pepsi so she had to refund the money after we asked about it AGAIN. Was I supposed to tell her to take the charge off?? As a customer, WE DON'T KNOW THESE THINGS. I guess there's not only a lack of communication with customers but also between employees. There's more. For my boyfriend's order, he ordered the breakfast sampler with two pancakes. He kindly requested to withhold the pancakes for the end of our meal, which she said was fine. When she brought out our food, she brought the pancakes out with it. Before setting the pancakes on the table, I guess she remembered that he asked for them later on. She quickly confirmed with something along the lines of "oh you want your pancakes for later right" and took it back. Which is fine, she forgot.. but 25 minutes later she brings THE SAME PANCAKES out. By this time his pancakes are cold. The reason why he ordered them for after his meal is so that he could have them warm. Comfort food, that's what I came for and that's what I got. I've been here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They always have a decent selection on the menu (love the pancakes!) and their food is always consistent and good. It easy to find something for everyone in the family to eat off the menu and you know it will be good. Today's dinner choice was the Sirloin Tips Dinner ($14.29) includes soup or salad. I went for the salad, it's very fresh and mostly iceberg lettuce with onions and cherry tomatoes. The dressing is served on the side, nice touch. The Sirloin Tips were delicious, they are served well done and came with corn and mashed potatoes. The dish was really tasty. I enjoyed the seasoning on the tips. Only comment would be that the potatoes were average, just a little dry. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. I should say I'm a volunteer firefighter across the street and sure enough the fire horns went off in the middle of my meal. The waitress was quick to say don't worry about your meal we'll keep it warm for you. Very much appreciated. Too full for dessert on this trip but I've got my eye on the crepes for next visit. Stopped in on a Saturday morning and it was very busy but we got seated quickly for a party of 2. I got an omelette which was super huge. 145 Hillside Ave Williston Park location. When I can't wait to leave and go to Dunkin Donuts it's pretty bad. Dirty silverware, which from reviews seems to be an issue. Given an empty pot of coffee. No condiments like Ketchup for scrambled eggs. Pancakes were cold with one bottle of Syrup (I guess no more choices). Seaated in the ally way by the kitchen which was not enjoyable. Basically I feel like I just threw money out the window. If your happy with this place then that's good, but I can't and won't recommend it to family and friends. read more

This ihop was the best I've been to EVER and I'm in my late 30's and from Queens NY( there's iHops all over)..I was there today(9/2/19) at 1:30 pm and service was slow and the wait was long but when we got our food, Omg... I ordered a classic burger with bacon and everything was so fresh from the bun to the meat, to bacon to the lettuce and the tomato. I also had a side Oder of pancakes... why the hell could I taste fresh buttermilk in my pancakes??? And The fluffiness!!!!There's no reason for the level of fresh deliciousness!...And the coffee!!!!!!!!!!!! Are they grinding coffee beans back there???
