The food was not cooked properly, 2/3 of us were nauseas and vomiting the rest of the day. We've came here before and although it's not the first time our experience was bad it was the first we got extremely sick from this place. The service was even worse. We were a party of 3 and were seated after 10 minutes of waiting but even after being seated it took more than 30 minutes to even be asked what we wanted to drink. Meanwhile there was a party of 8 who was seated after us and had menu's and glasses of water laid out for them (yes their order was also taken before ours). A man cleaning the tables kept asking us if we've been helped because he noticed no one was helping us. Finally a server came to take our order and came angry mumbling under his breath "I hate this damn place" "I'm so tired of this place". Needless to say we will never come here again, horrible experience in the restaurant and after. The time before this one we went and could barely order anything from the menu because they were either out or because they forgot to defrost it prior making our wait time more than an hour. Well, we've been back to this IHOP 3 times since it opened and must say, it is officially the worst we've ever been to, bar none!! Every trip we can count on great wait staff, friendly, pleasant and always promising a pleasant experience. Then reality hits...... soup/salad takes quite some time which isn't the case elsewhere, odd. Soup is barely warm, even though the waitress tells us the cook just made a fresh batch....wait, what? This isn't homemade at all, a microwave could've heated it to proper temperature. Dinner comes just moments later, do we leave it to get cold while we eat the salad and lukewarm soup? Taste the food....lukewarm, not hot at all, hmmm. Cranberry sauce with the turkey? Nope, not there. If you want everything that is supposed to come with your meal, you need to ask for each and every item; if you want it at the proper temperature I don't think you have a prayer. Thank goodness there are more and more options in this area.....we will not be going back to this IHOP in Yucca Valley until or unless the management/cook staff is fixed. read more

We came here for 2 meals and it was much better than I thought it would be. However, pretty much anything was better than the Super 8 we were staying just a couple buildings over. We came for a late breakfast/early lunch and Sarah was our server. She was excellent and very attentive to us. We were famished as we didn't really eat dinner the night before and were up late taking Milky Way pics in Joshua Tree National Park. We left Sarah a 30+% tip because of the great service. The food was good. I can't remember what all everyone had, but my husband, our 2 teenagers and myself enjoyed the food. It kept us filled for the day. The place looked clean, no issues. Service was fast. Our food came quickly, was hot and delish. We came again for dinner. My husband wasn't feeling adventuresome with the food. The awful Super 8 was enough, so we thought it would be safe for dinner as we had a great experience for breakfast. They were short handed so service was much slower and we had to ask for some things repeated. Lita was our server and because she was having to attend to too many tables, a tall young man helped out more. Disappointed that I-HOP at least for dinner wasn't staffed properly. Amazing restaurant and crew working 09/14/22. Maille went above and beyond and so did her crew celebrating my father birthday last night. A table of 11 and only a crew of 4 made our night. " Too sexy for my pancakes" made an appearance to present my father his birthday cake and this by far will be the most memorable moment !! We appreciated the customer service and our food was great. This is my second visit to Yucca Valley IHOP since its opening. The service for both visits has been very poor. The server did not check back to ask if I wanted a refill on water or soda. The food took nearly an hour before it was served, and when it finally came, the taste was not good. The omelette seemed to be saturated with water. We waited for refills on our drinks and ignored the entire time. We sat in a booth in the back where they get drinks, and several staff members were in a group complaining about their jobs and other employees.. When we moved our plates to the edge of the table the bus boy came by and took them...we continued to get ignored by our waitress as she walked by several times...This place is just plain Bad. I never noticed a floor manager anywhere, but this place is a sinking ship that is being poorly run with unskilled people. We got take out because it's always so busy at the location, due to it being new. What a waste! First of all no one ever answers the phone, so this was the actual first day we could place a take out order because when we have tried to place take out orders before no on answers. Second, our food wasn't right. We had to complain that our small order of items wasn't complete. I ordered a side of potatoes with cheese and got the sad looking small order as seen below. First time at this IHOP. I was pretty excited but was sadly disappointed. The food took a while to come. When it did, our strawberry Nutella crepes looked like melted poop, my caramel mocha frapp thing left a strange film in my mouth, and 2 plates of eggs and hashbrowns came out cold. The food took over 30 minutes to come out and was decent but a lot of it was cold. One of my friends didn't get his food at all and had to ask for it 3 separate times before finally getting it. Their reasoning for the delay being that they only have one waffle maker. This didn't make sense because the other 3 orders of chicken and waffles came out in quick succession, but also what kind of breakfast restaurant only has one waffle maker. At the end of our meal the server told us we wouldn't be able to split the bill which made it almost impossible for us to pay, but when we eventually did our server Chris became outraged that we only left a 5% tip, which was very generous considering the service he provided us. read more

Our server Maverick was extremely polite and made sure we had everything we needed, the cook Frank was so nice even came out to make sure our food was good!! He went out of his way to make sure we had a great experience there. Because of him we will be back!! I'm from OC so the ihops here I run by Latinos (mi gente) and during rush hour, the latest I would get my food is like 30 mins. That's at the ihop where I'm at. Now this ihop, holy hell. I have never seen an ihop so unorganized and disgusting. We waited for an hour and half for our food and it's just a group of 4 with no one in the restaurant. They were screaming in the back and fighting I wanted to leave, our waiter Ethan or Elon I think his name was (bearded with sleeve tattoo) had to apologize several times. Idk why we didn't left but the food was cold and terrible, they even ran out of hash browns, at 1 pm.... Long wait and then my party was ignored for a longer period of time, after we were seated. Finally asked the hostess why no server engaged our party. Eventually someone came over. Others seated after us had received drinks and the server could offer no explanation, only excuses. I had ordered the chicken fried steak and the gravy had dulled over which meant it had been sitting for a bit. My pancakes were cold...telling when the butter did not melt at all. Now, had the food been even relatively warm if not hot, it would have been very good. I blame the waitress for our bad experience, not the cook. Big waste of $40. When we went up to pay the bill our waitress was sitting in the dining area on the right side that wasn't being used. On Saturday 24th of August 1040 am. My family and I visited this location! We were greeted and sat at a table. We sat there for more than 30 mins and were not served. There were multiple customers who came in after us and were served immediately with this particular waiter we were in her station! No one asked if we wanted drinks or notified us of a wait. My husband and I visited this IHOP location for the first time yesterday. I was a little hesitant after reading some of the reviews but I was very pleased with our visit. The place was packed upon our arrival (Saturday @ 10:30am). The food was hot and delicious and the portions were generous. My only complaint is that the service was a bit slow. However, when our waitress did come by she was very friendly and prompt at refilling drinks and removing plates from the table. When she came with our food she noticed that some of the strawberry syrup from my pancakes had gotten on the plate with my omelette and offered to take it back. I thought that was nice of her to offer considering it was such a small amount of syrup which wasn't even touching the omelette (shown in picture). We will be returning to this location! read more

I am currently sitting in the restaurant still waiting for my food. We waited about 20 minutes just to get our order taken. Waters were brought to our table which was; by the way, a little too small for a party of six. Another set of waters was brought out to us even though we already had full cups and they didn't take back any cups. So our table was already super full and the food isn't even here yet. I am giving five stars because of MONICA. She is a fabulous server, whom we have grown VERY fond of since we frequent this place a lot. Good customer service is HARD to come by these days, which is sad. I have worked in customer service for 16 years and was a general manager for a busy tanning salon in marina del rey. I know customer service is not easy and I did waitress as well for a few years. Monica's service is impeccable!!! She's considerate, friendly, always smiling. My husband litteraly has five million questions every time we come in about the food and many requests for small changes in the mean and she is so very patient! I would be so annoyed haha. Ok the remodel looks great. The old Carrows was looking its age. We have been to IHOP 4 times and 3 out of the 4 experiences were good, while the other was not so great. Food is good although the portions seem to be a little light. The servers all seem to be trained with pleasant customer service skills. The only odd thing is that when they first seat you they always seem a bit confused as to where to put you. Twice they have put us at a table near large families with children towards the rear of the restaurant. When we ask about being seated near the window instead they seem to act like it's a big deal to change. Both times they have moved us at our request though. Overall a pretty nice addition to Yucca Valley. Plus I like that they are open late on the weekends. read more

The only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 is because my last visit, a member of my dinner party did not receive the crepes he had asked for and when he asked for the correct ones, by the time they had brought them out, we had all almost finished our meals.
