You order first then it's self serve seating, but since it was busy when we went (Sunday 10:30am), they arranged it to when a table opened up. Shared the birria burrito and the nutella french toast (swap the bananas for strawberries, since our friend was allergic to bananas) and it was delicious. The burrito was a good size and it came with their house cilantro sauce and a spicier sauce. It is on a pricier size though for it's size at $17. It could be fatter for the price range. It's a little oily but that's because it's a birria style burrito. The nutella french toast as a nice sweet finish. Came with syrup but it was not necessary since the nutella was already sweet. As for coffee, we ordered their iced Vienna latte and enjoyed it. Cute little brunch spot and I can see why there's a line in the morning. Definitely worth checking out. Parking can be easy, but also difficult when it is crowded as there are a few other food spots in the same plaza.

For the iced latte, shouldn't the milk go in after the espresso? Since it was the other way, the espresso was mainly on top and needed to be stirred. Seeing the workers, I know this part is thought out so just asking. Blackberry latte had a hint of blackberry which was nice. Not overwhelming. There is no waiting area after you order. You just kind of stand around somewhere in the store while you dodge people. Will definitely be back to try other items.

The are located in the same parking lot as the Country Inn right off of Saratoga Ave. When wifey and arrived there was plenty of parking. The inside of Moonwake is rather large for a coffee shop with plenty of seats and space, the outside has about 4-5 small "2 seat" tables. If you walk straight in "and keep walking" you will see their roasting room, that looks like a mad scientist lab with computers and beacons. It was pretty cool watching them proofing the coffee. I ordered a decaf iced Mocha with 1/2 & 1/2 and a Berry pistachio croissant, wifey ordered a regular coffee with room. Wifey's coffee had a delicate earthy flavor. "For regular coffee it was quite good" 4 stars My Mocha even with the 1/2 & 1/2 was good but did not have the body I like. 2.5 stars. "For said items $21.45" The Croissant was absolutely amazing, decadent, buttery, crispy, and chewy. Honestly it's the best one I've had short of Arsicault Bakery in San Francisco. Yeah man these are nearly that good! 5 stars for sure! The service was good and the employees were nice and helpful. Overall rating in my opinion, this place is solidly in the 4 star area. And I will be coming back for their croissants. :-D

The banana cream is sweet and creamy and mixes so well with the matcha which is less sweet. I got my drink with extra sweetness, and it was perfect. There's real banana pieces at the bottom of the drink too which I LOVE! I'd get it in a larger size if I could. Definitely coming back for the banana matcha and to try something new! Inside is small, but there's seating inside and outside! Staff were kind, helpful, and answered all my questions.

The strawberry matcha einspänner was beautifully presented, with strawberry jam at the bottom and a thick layer of strawberry foam on top. Unfortunately, the flavor and texture did not quite live up to the presentation. Even after mixing it thoroughly, the matcha tasted thin and was overpowered by an overly sweet, artificial strawberry flavor. It may be a fun choice for someone looking for a cute, sweet drink to photograph, but serious matcha lovers may find it underwhelming. The honey matcha was an even bigger miss for us. That said, they offer several unique drinks, including pennywort-based options, that I have not seen elsewhere and may be worth trying instead. Overall, the space and presentation were lovely, but the matcha itself fell short of expectations.

I need to go back because everything I ordered was iced and I want to try some of the hot drinks. The banana bourbon latte was good, I wish it had maybe a more pronounced banana flavor and that the bourbon came through more. But the oat milk and the coffee were so smooth and luxurious that it made the experience enjoyable. Important note: with Mitsua market and the busy food areas there, this plaza gets incredibly busy! We ordered a Cortado and the Honey Sea Salt Latte -- both were excellent. The espresso was rich, smooth, and perfectly pulled, which really showed in both drinks. The honey sea salt latte had a really nice balance of sweet and savory that wasn't overly sweet. We also got a croissant, which was flaky and delicious. They clearly have strong breakfast options overall -- the cheesy toast pictured on their page looked amazing too. Everything felt fresh and thoughtfully prepared. This is a great spot for quality coffee and solid breakfast food. We'll definitely be back to work our way through more of their flavored drinks and breakfast toasts. Highly recommend!

It is a bit on the pricier side, and could argue it's more of a dessert coffee, but they have so much to choose from to fit your need. The workers here are very friendly and are fun fyp talk to. The shop itself is on the small side, with a couple tables for indoor seating and no outdoor seating. The interior boasts a curious modern-industrial vibe that I found pleasant and unique. Though I was lucky enough to grab a good spot, this isn't a prime study location--there aren't many outlets, they close at 5 (so not ideal for 9-to-5ers) and the seating is a little limited. That said, there is free WiFi and bathroom access, so if you have a well-charged laptop and a bit of luck, it's not a bad pick. Their offerings include a mid-sized array of espresso-based and tea-based drinks alongside a small selection of pastries. Though the pastries looked decent, I abstained in favor of the black sesame latte, which I liked a lot. The black sesame cream top is very delicious, though once it settles into the drink it can get a bit grainy with the coarser bits of black sesame. I really liked that it wasn't too sweet, but I wish the espresso was stronger. The drinks are on the somewhat pricier side at $7-$8 (though it feels as though I'm seeing this price range very often these days), and I feel that it is just on the cusp of being a little too much for what I am getting. While the drinks are fun and pretty good, the coffee itself doesn't stand out a ton. I definitely need to try more drinks to form a more cohesive opinion, though. Overall, it's a pretty solid spot, and they offer a fun array of some more standard café offerings alongside some unique signature and special crafted drinks. They did get my name wrong (even after I spelled it out for them), but other than that, the service was friendly and fast. I'll definitely swing by again if I can find the time.

With some coffees a second cup will give me a stomach ache (especially since I drink my cold brews black and bitter like my soul), but I had no problems with their cold brews! I also got the vegan stonefruit scone (baked by Sweet Dragon) and while a little on the dry side (common with scones), paired extremely well with the coffee and had good flavor. Husband got a cappuccino and a strawberry mini pie and was extremely pleased with his order. The service is friendly, but some things may have been new on the day we went. They almost forgot my cold brew until we asked at the counter, as well as stating that they didn't have anything to heat up my husband's strawberry pie (which seems odd, since a little toaster oven seems like a simple fix for that), but apparently it was fantastic at room temperature anyway. Seating was absolutely full when we got there and we were lucky to snag a table as another couple left, so it seems like a popular Saturday morning spot. Several folks were working on laptops, and it seems like a kid-friendly place. The decor is a clean and modern/trendy industrial style, which works well for the space, and the windows provide nice daylight. Overall, a good coffee shop and I am really happy to see vegan pastry options! My husband is getting into pinball, which was part of the motivation to come out and try Chromatic, so I am sure we'll be back again next time he wants to hit up Slingshot (in the same building), and I look forward to the coffee and treats!

The seating area is quite limited for the large crowd it attracts, making the atmosphere inside feel a bit chaotic at peak times. Fortunately, the baristas are super polite and work fast, keeping the long lines moving efficiently. The coffee menu and the retail bean selection are both impressive. I decided to try a dulce de leche coffee. While I was expecting a strong caramel profile of dulce de leche, the flavor turned out to be fairly subtle rather than prominent. It added a significant sweetness, but without knowing the order beforehand, identifying the exact flavor would have been tough. That said, the coffee itself was still refreshing The high quality of the coffee bean really shone through, delivering a rich aroma and the ideal caffeine kick for a breezy morning. Great coffee beans and fast service make it worth dropping in, even if the indoor seating situation is a bit tight.
