Came here just as the doors opened for a special event. Though there is a blocked off areas until regular store hours start one can still go up the stairs to the cafe and back down to ground level via elevator. Cafeteria was airy, plenty of sunlight shining in. The seating area had clean minimalist furniture. The food line was well organized with desserts on the side and mains in the back. Got a small breakfast with black coffee. For pocket change one can get breakfast potatoes, scrambled eggs and 2 slices of bacon. Bacon was very crisp and not greasy. Eggs tasted like powder or box eggs but still good. Potatoes were cubed, fried till crispy and seasoned well. Coffee was good quality

This is a nostalgic place for me and my daughter. We ate here a few times when we came to shop during her childhood. It's surprisingly tasty and budget-friendly. We love their Swedish meatballs! The flavor has not changed. It is always clean with plenty of seating.

IKEA College Park, MD 10100 Baltimore Ave, College Park, MD 20740 Daily 10AM - 8PM restrooms are next to the dining area in the store, kids friendly restrooms and accessible for both strollers and wheelchairs. accessible for strollers and wheelchairs free parking lot around the building ℹ ikea.com This visit focused on tasting the new meals, at least new to us! We got the usual Swedish meatballs with peas and mashed potatoes, and they always the best meal! The 2nd meal is the chicken with black beans and fried banana, this is new for us but amazingly delicious! The chicken is soft and tender, all the herbs marinated well inside and out, the black beans are soaked and filled with the soup. The fried banana is the perfect side dish to complement the meal, they are sweet savory and crunchy at the same time. The 3rd meal is the chicken wrap in vegetable, also delicious and very filling despite the size. The warping are at the maximum of the wrapper, so full with everything inside. Don't underestimate them. The next side dish is a must, the french fries is awesome! Crispy and crunchy at the same time, full with flavor! The serving line for the restaurant went smoothly and pretty fast. For the dessert, always get their ice cream at the cafe in the ground floor. The cafe serving line was awesome using electronic order. #ikeacollageparkmd #ikearestaurant #ikeamd #preservefootprints

Normally, I would flag this as a four or five star experience because the food is normally great. The team is always helpful and the tables are always clean, however this go round, one star is deserved. We have been waiting over 45 minutes in a line to get lunch, which unfortunately is not an option because of the addition of hungry children, and there has been little to no movement across this entire situation. We're unclear what the issue is, I've also called the store overall, asked for management to come yet nothing. It is preposterous to have waited this long to get a meal while shopping, and then to know that we're going to spend more money in the store after we've done spending money and TIME just to get food. This is maddening. Not OK, IKEA step it up!

Updating review, just on the restaurant. Seems like they are downsizing on a lot of things. The grocery store doesn't have as many items now, which is too bad. Breakfast items at the restaurant seemed smaller (less of it) too. One plus is they've added plantains and scones. Plantains were really good and worth getting. The scones were alright, but needed butter. I think you have to ask for it, since I didn't see them out like they used to be. Still overall a good price for a quick meal.

This rating is for the restaurant only: I came right at opening so they were serving breakfast food only (which was what I was hoping for). The eggs and bacon were delicious, but the potatoes had a weird after taste to it. I added some ketchup and that helped mask the weird taste. You bust your own table and grab your own salad and drinks, but they serve up the hot food for you. Extremely affordable and large portion sizes for the price. For two small breakfasts and a cinnamon bun, the total was about $6.50.

I truly enjoy going to IKEA as a store only. They have amazing displays that give you great ideas on how to setup your home or business. The service was sub standard, they you ladies was just stand around and not helpful. They food is way overpriced. Just understand when you go to IKEA you need to make a choice if you want them to build your purchase (which you will pay for it) or you build it.

4 count side of meatballs and a side of mashed potatoes

The 5 star rating is for the overall store. The showcases are so creative and realistic. Very nice displays. Now as far as the food. I would give it a 2 star. The Swedish meatballs are a win. Very tasty without the gravy. The gravy is not salty and it does balance out the salt inside the meatball. But I was not a fan of the gravy. The mashed potatoes were bland. The gravy helped it a little. It tasted better once I added salt and pepper. I ordered a side of meatballs (4 count) and a side of mashed potatoes. Make sure you say "side " if you just want to sample the items. If not they will give you the plate which cost more. For a side of 4 count meatball and a side of mashed potatoes the total was $3.70. Cool cheap meal.

Came here for lunch on a weekend. Came here with some family friends. I had their plant balls meal, which came with green peas, mashed potatoes and some lingonberry jam, and; their almond caramel tort. Balance came out to approximately $13. What's Hot - Options. There appears to be something for everyone- meats, vegetarians, seafood, and vegans. For example, they now have plant balls, instead of Swedish meatballs, which is pretty good. There are salads, other veggies and fruits. There's also a good variety of desserts, but they don't appear to be vegan. - Quality. Not bad. The plant balls are pretty good and taste very similar to their Swedish meatballs. Their lingonberry jam is pretty good, as well, even though it looks like cranberry sauce. The dessert I ordered was definitely delicious and had a slight crispiness to it, but not too crisp. My friends had fries with their meal, which are also pretty good- slightly crunchy on the outside and warm and soft on the inside. Apparently, my friend said their chocolate cake is always delicious. - Portions. Decent portions, but depending on how hungry you are, be prepared to order more than an entree. - Price. For the portions you pay and the quality, it's pretty good value for money. - Service. It's mostly self-serve, with the exception of when you order their hot foods. In between my ordering the plant balls meal, which came with sides, they were pretty quick in putting my plate together. Their cashiers are pretty good about putting everything in quickly and taking payment, which keeps the line moving pretty smoothly. - Location. What's great is that you do not have to go through their shopping maze to find their restaurant. It's immediately upstairs from the main entrance. What's Not - Cleanliness. To be fair, this factor probably depends on when you're here. Because I was here with my friends on a weekend afternoon, it was pretty busy. As such, turnover at the tables is pretty. Consequently, that meant a lot of their vacant tables were dirty, because they had not been wiped down since the last diners. I noticed they eventually got wiped down, but it took a while. The main point is that be prepared for it to be difficult to find clean tables for your group, depending on the day and time you're there. - Quality. Not bad, but not the best. To be fair, this isn't fine dining, haha... Final Answer Not my top choice, but not bad and pretty dependable, especially when you're going through the endless maze and options of Ikea.

The food serving size is a lot smaller then before and they have downgraded everything their forks, plates, and cups and a lot more stuff.

This place deserves a second chance. We visited on a day that had horrific traffic issues affecting Rt 50 and other areas and we wanted to take time off the road. It is easy to take time looking at products. Eventually, you want to eat. The upstairs restaurant has lots of freshly made items (chilled or warm). Hubby loved the Stockholm Salad (chilled salmon, potato salad, yummy dill dressing, lettuce). I had a tossed salad and fries. The fries were good. There were lots of hot items. The macaroni and cheese looked wonderful. There were vegetables and other choices. Sodas were nearly $2. Bottled water was 97 cents. There were chips, cookies and a few other snack items you could grab before you got in line. The salad was fresh and delicious. They don't charge for dressing. Other condiments were available in the dining area. Plastic ware was individually wrapped. The "deli" downstairs is only open Friday-Sunday or I would have tried the vegetarian hot dog. The seating was comfortable. The view overlooked the parking area and was nice. You bus your table and put your trays on a rack. They have a wonderful cart for schlepping multiple trays. This is handy for children or helping someone carry their tray to/from the table. The employees were friendly. You take wrapped items from the chilled section and order hot items. You pick them up at the end of the line. For planning purposes, pay for your IKEA (non food) items before entering the restaurant if you are finished shopping. Otherwise you are at the mercy of an IKEA employee to allow you to walk closely to the registers or all the way around the store again. During covid rules, you enter the store through the exit.

Standard fare that hasn't changed over the years. Good prices and average service. The veggies tasted like the freezer but the meatballs were satisfying.

First, their location is very inconvenient unless you are on foot, which may be great for U of MD students, but if you are in a car, its a disaster when it comes to parking. This business even has a sign saying ask about a parking pass and they are not responsible if your car is towed. This alone makes this place already super unattractive. I fought my instincts and gave this place a try, but honestly, felt like I wasted $12. They have a digital kiosk where you can order your drinks and I chose a HK style milk tea (hot) with less sugar and also a jasmine milk tea with boba. The ordering for the jasmine tea was weird because it has an option to choose $1 extra for boba but if you scroll a little further down, you can get boba, no extra charge. I thought that was a bit sneaky, which I didn't appreciate. I waited about 15 min and then my order was ready. The HK style milk tea was supposed to be in a glass container but I only saw the sign after I ordered that they didnt have glass containers. That really sucked. The other issue is that when my HK style milk tea (hot) was ready, it was barely warm, which also was disappointing as it was a bit cool outside and I wanted something hot to warm me up. The HK milk tea also wasn't that great either, nothing special. I've had HK milk teas for about $2 elsewhere and they were great, but this was overpriced and lukewarm. I wont be ordering this again. The other drink seemed OK as I ordered it for someone else. I also thought this place was kind of dirty and could have been more clean. Not sure why the windows looked so dirty. I found the place kind of gross and it just didnt feel as clean as I like businesses to be. Overall, a pretty underwhelming experience. You get one chance to make a good impression especially when there are so many boba options available. I definitely wont be coming back here again.

However, I would say that the music plays from a little Bluetooth on the corner of the restaurant and it's not the greatest quality, would cut in and out, and it was just blaring way too loud, making it hard to have regular conversations. Service wasn't too bad overall. There was only one weight staff who had all the tables in the restaurant which made her spread out pretty thin. But we wouldn't get regular refills or Water and took so long to get water (waiting up to 20 min to try to get her attention) and at the end of our time together she finally gave us a pitcher of Water, but a little late as we're most done. Also, it took a while to get basic things we had ordered coffee but either she forgot to bring us coffee or she didn't ring it in and we weren't able to get it until after our food was delivered. So service, while she was friendly and kind, our service was definitely subpar. Hopefully this wasn't bc she had automatic tip bc our party was so large for her lack of service. 1/5 for service The food was amazing for the most part. I had gotten the salmon BLT and it was moist and tender with good flavor and seasoning, and the bread had a great texture and flavor to it as well. The bacon was nice and smoky and the sauce that was paired with it made it great. The hashbrowns were so crispy and seasoned with great flavor and salt! This was a winner! 4.5/5 Yeah, I got a bunch of other dishes, but I only tried small bites here and there of other people stuff. What I would say, is that the Cajun pasta shrimp was cooked perfectly and was tender and had great flavor! And that sauce was amazing! The sausage I tried wasn't the best but decent! We got biscuits and wings as appetizers, and the wings were great, good flavor, good crunch, and a decent size. However, there needs to be more wings in the order for the price. The hot honey sauce as good! 4/5 The biscuits were pretty moist and had a great texture and consistency, You get two for the order! 4/5 Overall, the food is pretty amazing. However, the service was pretty bad. Maybe this was a one off but just prepared for a long waits for everything from water to getting a drink order.
