Worth it for the curry rice with tonkatsu, which is so tasty and fresh. However, the service is pretty slow. Expect to wait a long time to order and then a long time to get your food (40+ min!). The staff is friendly though!

I ordered take out this time! The server kindly took my order and I waited indoors. I tried their mixed fried lunch for $16. It was fried wonderfully and it was delicious! I had two fatty oysters, two shrimp, and two pieces of salmon. It was really nice, didn't feel oily and heavy. It came with rice, no salad and soup because it was take out. Overall, it was very good and delicious. I wish they still offered salad in the take out, I feel like that's very easy to do so and all the other Japanese restaurants I did take out also came with soup too, it's not that hard.

Have been coming her for over 10 years. Consistency is good. Evenings can be a long wait, service of food can get backed up so you need to be patient. If you're not in a hurry, this is a place for good food. We love the bento choices, udon and sukiyaki dishes.

This food was made in heaven. I don't think I've ever had better sushi. The wait staff were friendly, quick and efficient. The sukiyaki was divine. The dressing on the salad was light and delicious. The miso soup balanced the right flavors. Don't let the fact that this exists in a strip mall, deter you. Once you enter the restaurant, you are transported to Japan. Everything is authentic, fresh, friendly.

Traditional Japanese cuisine with an extensive menu; inside has plenty of room with your typical sushi bar. Service efficient and friendly with smiles and answered the questions we had. Dishes very tasty, we shared which was a good approach, go check it out.

I'm late in posting this from when I took the picture, but it is still on the menu and really delicious, the Makenouchi Bento, (B). It has tempura, tonkatsu, chicken teriyaki, and California roll. I ordered it to go, and it is a very busy place with specific/limited hours in which they are closed between lunch and dinner on weekdays and only open for dinner on weekends (and closed Mondays). It takes a while for the food to be prepared; so I went to place my to-go order and then did grocery shopping at Safeway in the same shopping center.

I love this place. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and while the service may take a bit longer, it's worth the wait. The staff are always friendly, and it's a great spot if you want to take your time, relax, and enjoy your meal. Thank you for always taking such good care of us!

My parents have been coming here for 26 years and I've been coming since I was a little kid and the food has always been really yummy and great quality. It's a cute little spot tucked behind Safeway and the waitresses are so sweet and provide great service. My favorites are the nabeyaki udon, beef teriyaki, and any of the bentos, but anything you get here will be good.

Ikenohana is a very cool Japanese spot in Beaverton. The food is decent and it is priced very well. The staff is very friendly and are actually Japanese. It's rare to find a Japanese restaurant in Portland that is owned and operated by Japanese people so I thought this was a cool aspect of this restaurant. The interior decor is pretty dated but it is nice and clean. The service times were pretty long so that left a bit to be desired.

    Restaurant hours as of 2/29/24.

Have their hours changed for takeout/delivery?

I don’t know about currently, but I think about the time this question was asked, they seemed to close early. Yelp! said they were open, I drove straight there, about an hour to spare but closed. Ended up going to Toshie’s. Call ahead to be safe.

I think there's no more than 10 seats but if the weather's nice they have some outdoor seating, too. The wall had fun drawings and artwork on it which was fun to look at while waiting for the food. Staff: got our orders. Food: I got their Tori Paitan with char siu for $14. The price was reasonable with the portion they give. The char siu was fatty and the egg was runny. It was piping hot and the soup base was not bad. I didn't feel thirsty afterwards. The noodles were cooked nicely. It is a little further away for me just to eat ramen and nothing was outstanding to me. In fact, I felt a little rushed and couldn't catch up with my friends because of the way the store was set up and few spots. We didn't want to keep chatting because that means other customers would have to wait. So, if you want to quickly eat some ramen, come here.

This is not the sleepy, by-the-numbers sushi of yesteryear. This is a restaurant that understands the power of a grand gesture --whether through flavor or pure, unadulterated spectacle. One begins with the Agedashi Tofu and Mochi, a dish that redefines a classic. The tofu is a pillow of silk within a shatteringly crisp shell, but the revelation is the kirimochi rice cake, offering a chewy, toothsome counterpoint that elevates the familiar into the essential. It is a smart, textural prelude to the culinary fireworks to come. Those fireworks arrive with the Wow! Roll. A roll of spicy tuna and shrimp tempura is anointed with salmon and avocado, but the true drama is the "encircled flames" that arrive tableside. It is theater, yes, but it is also flavor; the faint whisper of smoke adds a compelling depth that lingers long after the fire has died. For those seeking the avant-garde, the Mushroom Karaage is a triumph-king oyster mushrooms, deep-fried to a golden, savory crisp, proving that the vegetable kingdom can rival the sea for umami-rich satisfaction. The artistry extends to the rolls. The Mango Blossom is a study in bright, tropical contrast, a burst of sunshine with every bite. The East Coast roll is a more restrained, but no less successful, composition of pristine seafood. And for those who prefer their sweetness in liquid form, the cocktail list provides ample accompaniment. A testament to the kitchen's skill is the rice--each grain distinct, delicately seasoned, never gummy, a perfect anchor for the opulent fish. This is sushi as a full-throated symphony, from the quiet prelude of the mochi to the pyrotechnic crescendo of the Wow! Roll. NOA Sushi is not merely a restaurant; it is a destination.

I can definitely appreciate the effort it takes to make ramen, but it's not exactly a well-balanced, healthy dish, more like a hangover cure... With that being said! For me to give Lucky Ramen FIVE stars is a huge feat! My personal number 1 go-to is the Veggie Ramen w/kale noodles, spicy level 3. Dont knock it til you try it! The broth is the true definition of umami, it's savory, filled with enoki mushrooms, bok choy, bamboo shoots, shiitake mushrooms, tofu, and a soft boiled egg. It's nothing short of filling! The kale noodles taste just like regular ramen noodles and to think that it has extra fiber, yes please. The one thing I didn't like about my last visit, a little bit of micromanagement coming out of the kitchen. In all fairness, a business owner should be critical of what's being plated and served. This place is clean and traditional, but the bar is also set a little low on that traditional type of experience. This place is a comfortable eatery and not much more. The cultural takeaway is washed over by Ikea lables left on soy sauce bottles, a lack of attention to detail that easily transfers from the table settings to the delivery of food. It's a local spot but not a great date night spot. I was slightly disappointed with the overall presentation and quality. For instance, what a large plate of sashimi or nigiri is brought to the table, there is no explanation and the patron is left to wonder what some pieces might be. I've always nice when the server points out my favorite pieces and maybe something I didn't know about on my plate. The pieces of fish on the nigiri were massive.
