    We had a great dinner here tonight. I ordered the deep dish pizza with sausage and pepperoni, and it was excellent. Rich, filling, and exactly what I was hoping for. We also started with the baked clams, which were delicious. Mary had the cauliflower pizza and really enjoyed that as well. Everything we ordered was fresh and very well prepared. The staff was very friendly and attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. I also got a free cannoli for signing up online, which was a nice bonus. Great food and great service. We'll definitely be back.

    For about a week I've been craving a Chicago-style pizza, despite never having been to Chicago . Regardless, I searched places near me that sold this style of pizza and stumbled on this resturant. I ordered online in advance as the website mentioned it takes up to 1 hour to cook. Exactly on the projected time it was coming out the oven and I was pleasantly greeted by the staff with my box. The restaurant was not full at 4:30 p.m., but I can imagine it being a great place for dinner due to its sultry atmosphere . I rushed to my car to get home and I must say my meal did not disappoint. This 12 inch pie is definitely more than enough for two people!

    This restaurant is awesome! I love the charm and warmth. We chatted with Daisy, the owner. She is very down to earth and was happy to talk about some of the dishes they offer. I ordered a beer that is Polish. This was my first time trying Polish beer and it was delicious. We ordered garlic rolls and they were so good. They were not too oily. I loved the garlic and parmesan cheese flavor. I couldn't decide between thr lasagna and penne a la vodka. I chose the lasagna because I love my sauce and I just thought it looked so good in the photos on Yelp. And it was. I am very picky about lasagna and this one is excellent. I think it is the best one I have ever eaten. The cheese was delectable. The sauce was so fresh and had a vibrant taste. No pork in the meat in the lasagna, only beef. I tasted my friend's son's pizza. He loved it and I am surprised because it had a lot of oregano. I thought it was just ok but was very impressed with how large a kid's pizza is. He gets to have half at school tomorrow. Lucky him! He also loved the fresh lemonade he ordered. My friend loved her spaghetti and meatballs. I tried the meatball and that is something else I am picky about. I liked the meatball a lot. I was so happy when Daisy brought out a pistachio cannoli for my upcoming birthday. All the customers sang to me. The place was full too. It was very heartwarming. The cannoli was excellent. Even the crust, which I usually skip. The cream was delicious.

    I been craving a Chicago deep dish. But I can't help but compare to unos (which I know is a chain). The pizza is good but just too cheesey for me personally. I like a lot more sauce and fillings besides the cheese. The crust wasn't flakey and crispy. I wouldn't get another deep dish from them personally. But there was another couple there who was loving it ! The waitress was very attentive. The beer was cold. The French onion soup was pretty good as well! Would have liked more onions though. Curious how other items are on the menu so I may come back.

    Have you ever traveled out of town and wanted to find a restaurant within walking distance of your hotel? That's what happened when we went to Il Baretto. This cute and cozy Italian place became a special restaurant to our family. Il Baretto is family owned and has lots of charm and amazing dishes! The staff were so kind and made our dinners perfect. We had the chicken parmigiana which was so tender and the pasta was fresh. The gravy made the dish topped with parmigiana cheese and a dash of arugula. We had such a great experience that our group had placed an order to go on Valentine's Day after our long event into the evening. Il Baretto is a great place for authentic and delicious Italian food. It's worth the trip whether you are on the road or in the area!

    Hubby's birthday, he's been dying for Chicago style deep dish pizza. Placed an order around 3:20pm, it was customized- added, pineapple, pepperoni, black olives, feta, mushrooms-side of basil and ricotta-hubby forgot those ingredients. Added side of Cesar salad. Service is great! They are accommodating and forthcoming of the time it takes for the everything to get ready "40-1hr". No biggy, I'm on my day off and running errands. This was take out. So i walked in to pick up the food. The place is pretty. I'd visit for a sit down. Ambiance feels intimate. Deep Dish Review: meh. Maybe it's because I heated it up again as it was for dinner. Nothing against the business, so many rate it good so perhaps its just our palettes are not jiving. We can't help but compare it to Chicago Stuffed Pizza Co., it's long closed, but dang, what i would give for 1 more pie. In any case, i would come back to totally try other dishes.

    Was ok, had a quick stop while at a soccer tournament for the weekend. Service was very friendly and food was what was looking for. Stop in for your looking for good pasta. Had the Ali Oli Angel Hair with shrimp. Was ok. My son had the Penne and Alfredo, that was really good.

    One Chicago 12" Deep Dish Pizza there's also two thin crust 16 inch pizzas one with extra cheese

    Back in the 1990s, I lived and worked in Chicago, where I fell in love with authentic Chicago-style pizza--thin crust, stuffed, and deep dish. When I moved to South Florida, I spent years searching for that same quality and flavor but came up empty. Then I found Barreto's in Davie. For our 2026 St. Patrick's Day party, I kept telling friends this was the best Italian restaurant in South Florida. Most gave me the typical, "Yeah, sure... we'll see." So I ordered five thin-crust pizzas and three large deep-dish pizzas for the party. There was plenty of food, but every single pizza was gone within an hour. That alone should tell you something. I live in the Boca Raton/Delray Beach area, and it's a 30-minute drive each way to Davie. We gladly make that trip because we honestly believe Barreto's serves the best Chicago-style thin crust, deep dish, and some of the best overall Italian food in South Florida. Whenever possible, we enjoy eating in the restaurant because nothing beats a pizza that's fresh out of the oven. But even when we order takeout, we pack insulated pizza bags, drive the hour round trip, and bring it home. It's absolutely worth it. We've served Barreto's pizza and Italian food at birthday parties, family gatherings, and even as a Thanksgiving backup meal. It has never disappointed. If you're looking for authentic Chicago-style pizza and outstanding Italian food, this place is a true five-star experience. Hope to see you at my favorite Italian Restaurant;

    We discovered Il Baretto while staying at a nearby hotel just a block away, and decided to try it out for convenience. What a pleasant surprise. Tucked in the corner of a small strip mall, the restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside, but once inside, it's a cozy and charming little Italian spot that feels genuinely welcoming. You can see the chef working from the dining area, and it's clear that everything is made fresh and from scratch. Our server was outstanding, attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. She took the time to explain several of the menu options since it was our first visit. I ordered the Chicken Parmesan, which came in a generous portion and was cooked perfectly. The red sauce was rich and flavorful, and the homemade pasta really stood out. House made pasta is a nice touch and a big step up from the usual Italian restaurant fare. Overall, this was an excellent dining experience that exceeded our expectations. I recommend Il Baretto to anyone looking for delicious Italian food. Salute!

    I love deep dish pizza and too date this is the best one I've found in Broward. Always consistent, delicious, and timely considering the extra time it takes for deep dish pizza. Most of the time I order takeout but I have dined in the restaurant a couple times. It is a cozy ambience and the service is always great. Even when I do take out the staff is always friendly even though they are always super busy. Highly recommend Il Baretto

    I had such a great experience here tonight. The food was absolutely delicious from start to finish. We started with the calamari, which was cooked perfectly--light, crispy, and not greasy at all. The garlic rolls were insane... honestly some of the best I've ever had. We shared a house salad, and it was huge--definitely big enough to split. Everything tasted super fresh, and the balsamic dressing was perfectly drizzled and flavorful without being overpowering. For my entrée, I ordered the chicken parmesan with angel hair pasta. I'm pretty picky about marinara sauce (and I'm Italian, so I hold places to a higher standard), but everything was completely on point. The flavors, the sauce, the portion--just really well done. What made the experience even better was the owner coming over to talk to us. She shared details about the food and the restaurant, which made it feel really personal and welcoming. They also host special wine tastings at the end of the month with a curated menu, which I definitely want to come back for. We didn't try the pizza this time, but I already know I'll be back. They offer thin crust and even a deep dish that you can order ahead (about an hour in advance), which sounds amazing. It's a smaller place, but it's cozy, the staff is incredibly friendly, and the service was excellent. I'll definitely be back--and next time I'm saving room for dessert (if I can stop myself from eating all the garlic rolls again).

As entrees, we shared two entrees - the pesto pasta and the gnocchi which at the time was made with a pork type of sauce. Both were very delicious and we really enjoyed the flavors of both. The consistency of the gnocchi's sauce was a bit interesting, as it was all sort of blended together, but the flavor was very good! Would give them each 4/5. For food, we decided to stick to the shared plates so we can enjoy the specials. Starting off with the burrata which was so good!!! The burrata is served on a large piece of ciabatta with tomato & garlic confit and a basil pesto. It was incredible! We also tried the Brussels which were a flavor bomb! I loved the combo of the kung pao vinaigrette that gave it a subtle salty sweetness mixed with a little of the spicy peppers. It was such an amazing combo! And we finished it off with the truffled vineyard fries. These are no regular fries.... These are layered potatoes that are thinly sliced and fried, so the layers get really crispy and make for some yummy truffle fries! It's served with a lemon truffle cream which I loved. We were here to check on a show that was playing in their back room. We got here early though and met up with friends, so we could enjoy the wine a bit and check it out. It really is a great spot. There was a good size crowd for a Thursday. We tried a couple wines, both were solid. the bartender was nice and the ambiance of the place was very welcoming. When it was about showtime we went in the back. Its a kooky room with a really high ceiling and accustic improving wall appliances. The show was fun; a DJ, a fella on bongos, and a gal came out and played cello to a couple songs too. Very glad we took a chance on driving down for this eclectic show. Harrison has alot of good spots that come and go, I hope this one sticks.

    Out of our love for wine, we will try any wine bar here in South Florida or anywhere in the world…read more All are so unique. The Vintage has everything we love all wrapped in one place. 1. A great selection of wines. 2. A bar that focuses on tastings 3 A great selection of food items to enjoy while drinking your favorite wine, not just a few bar bites. 4. TVs for watching our favorite football games, one placed and centered at the back of the bar to easily see and one above where we are seated. The atmosphere is friendly and our server was very chill, allowing us to taste a couple of the wines we were interested in. All the wines by the glass or bottle were listed clearly on a chalk board. Great variety listed by grape and wine producer/name of the wine. We chose a light Carmanere although the other ones we talked we also good. Since my wife and I were both drinking the same wine we ordered a bottle. The prices of these wines are so reasonable, in fact never seen prices this low for comparable wines. You can also purchase wines off their display of wines in a separate wine room at 30-40 percent off the prices you drink them at in house if you purchase 3 wines to take home. Great variety there as well and offers wines from different wine regions around the world. Our food choices off the menu were Prosciutto Wrapped Dates, Artichokes and a beautiful Beef Carpaccio Plate. All were presented beautifully and paired well with our Carmanere. We did order clams but they were tiny and did not care for them. Friendly cozy bar. Not too big and conducive to meeting people. So we saw all our football games we wanted to watch , drank great wine paired with some great dishes. Yes , we purchased 3 bottles to take home after including the Carmanere we drank. Definitely coming back. This place is different.
