Sidecar Speakeasy was the play... The speakeasy entrance was hidden in a hallway you can walk right by without even noticing. I dig it. Once inside, it's dark. Most of the light is coming from the light showcasing the bottles in the bar. The seating is a little tight as they're trying to maximize space for such a small area. We visited here twice during my visit: We sat at a table and a bar. You have the perfect amount of space for your party, but you're pretty close to the next table or bar seat. No claustrophobic vibes though. All the mixologists were great during both visits. One visit, we ordered their signature cocktails from the menu. When we sat at the bar, we had the mixologist surprise with a cocktail off the menu. He just asked what kind of liquor vibe we wanted, and he took it from there. He was super creative with every cocktail which made for a great time. They stayed upon until midnight one one visit and until 1 am on the other one. Both my visits were on a weekday. The sidecar speakeasy is easily my favorite bar in Fort Lauderdale and I have a feeling I'll be back. Enjoy!

The ambiance of the place is lovely, decorated with string lighting that looks so gorgeous at night. The patio area is much bigger than I anticipated and even has some larger tables for any larger parties. We started off with an appetizer of the peach burrata, which was tasty! I would give it 4/5. We then got wine flights which I thought were such a great value for the price. You get 3 small sized wine glasses for $15 and get to sample three wines! Definitely recommend this 5/5. As entrees, we shared two entrees - the pesto pasta and the gnocchi which at the time was made with a pork type of sauce. Both were very delicious and we really enjoyed the flavors of both. The consistency of the gnocchi's sauce was a bit interesting, as it was all sort of blended together, but the flavor was very good! Would give them each 4/5. We ended the night with tiramisu - delicious and the presentation was very cute. I haven't had very much tiramisu to compare against, but I'll give it 5/5 as I really enjoyed it! As for service, our waitress was very attentive and nice but note that they can get busy on weekend evenings, so expect a little bit of a wait. Overall, I had a great time and enjoyed the food. My favorite part of the night were the ambiance and the wine flights. I hope to come back again soon!

Not fall apart like they should be. Tasted almost like when you microwave meat too long. The chicken Milanese was soggy, not crispy like a breaded pan cooked chicken should be and also tasted tough and a bit overcooked. I was surprised that zero sauce, or a side of pasta was not served along with it either. Very dry and bland. It appeared to be almost 2-3 very large chicken cutlets that are served on a cutting board. The vodka sauce pasta was also a bit bland and unflavorful. Very sad as this has always been a favorite spot of mine but tonight was very disappointing. I will say, wait service and all staff were absolutely amazing. Very attentive and kind.

The wine list offers a strong range across regions and styles, though I'd love to see an extra Italian red or two added. The servers are friendly and clearly know their wine, offering helpful suggestions without being pushy. A relaxed and polished spot for unwinding with a great glass of wine.

The staff is attentive without being overbearing, and you can tell they genuinely care about the experience. Sweet and savory, perfectly soft, and just melts in your mouth. It's the kind of dish you end up talking about long after you leave. I also tried one of the night specials, the jerk chicken pasta, and it was flawless. Perfectly seasoned, cooked just right, and packed with flavor without being overwhelming. Honestly, I have zero negative remarks. Everything--from service to food to atmosphere--was dialed in. 10/10. I'll definitely be back.

I wanted to support a black owned business and hear some jazz while in Florida, so I found this place. The host was a gorgeous man with dreads who let me know that since I didn't have a reservation I would be at the bar. I didn't mind and made friends with the girl next to me. There were mostly couples there but the saxophonist, Ross was great. The drinks were strong and the food I ordered was good. The only downside was how long the food took, but I would come back if in Florida again. I enjoyed myself and would recommend for people looking for a date night location or a more upscale experience who appreciate jazz. I also met one of the owners Kedan, who was very cute.

It feels like you're at a tasting room in Napa. We opted to sit at the bar to enjoy the happy hour specials. There's no set happy hour menu, but they offer $3 off select wines and specialty cocktails and $2 off shared plates. Our waiter went through all the wine options for the happy hour and he was really helpful. He even recommended his favorite wines. I started with a glass of the Stemmari Pinot Grigio which was incredibly crisp and refreshing. Then I switched over to the J. Bookwalter "Notebook" red which was a favorite of mines for the rest of the afternoon. It's a blended wine, so it offers a lot of complex flavors. Very lovely. I also love the seating at the bar. They have an open view to the outdoors, so it feels very spacious. The bar isn't overly crowded. It's also nice to see all the wines they offer on tap. For food, we decided to stick to the shared plates so we can enjoy the specials. Starting off with the burrata which was so good!!! The burrata is served on a large piece of ciabatta with tomato & garlic confit and a basil pesto. It was incredible! We also tried the Brussels which were a flavor bomb! I loved the combo of the kung pao vinaigrette that gave it a subtle salty sweetness mixed with a little of the spicy peppers. It was such an amazing combo! And we finished it off with the truffled vineyard fries. These are no regular fries.... These are layered potatoes that are thinly sliced and fried, so the layers get really crispy and make for some yummy truffle fries! It's served with a lemon truffle cream which I loved. I think the cream did a nice job of balancing the heaviness of the fried potato given that it was on the greasy side. I am over the moon with their presentation, service, food and wine options. It is an amazing option for Happy Hour on Las Olas or for an evening of wine tastings!

When it was about showtime we went in the back. Its a kooky room with a really high ceiling and accustic improving wall appliances. TVs for watching our favorite football games, one placed and centered at the back of the bar to easily see and one above where we are seated. The atmosphere is friendly and our server was very chill, allowing us to taste a couple of the wines we were interested in. All the wines by the glass or bottle were listed clearly on a chalk board. Great variety listed by grape and wine producer/name of the wine. We chose a light Carmanere although the other ones we talked we also good. Since my wife and I were both drinking the same wine we ordered a bottle. The prices of these wines are so reasonable, in fact never seen prices this low for comparable wines. You can also purchase wines off their display of wines in a separate wine room at 30-40 percent off the prices you drink them at in house if you purchase 3 wines to take home. Great variety there as well and offers wines from different wine regions around the world. Our food choices off the menu were Prosciutto Wrapped Dates, Artichokes and a beautiful Beef Carpaccio Plate. All were presented beautifully and paired well with our Carmanere. We did order clams but they were tiny and did not care for them. Friendly cozy bar. Not too big and conducive to meeting people. So we saw all our football games we wanted to watch , drank great wine paired with some great dishes. Yes , we purchased 3 bottles to take home after including the Carmanere we drank. Definitely coming back. This place is different.
