The sauce has a great flavor profile and the dollop of ricotta allowed adding some to each bite. Shared an order of chicken riggies which was plenty big enough for 2 of us. The kitchen even split it and served it in 2 bowls. Good amount of spice (we asked for spicy) and flavor, and al dente riggies and large chunks of white meat chicken. I have previously written a 5 star review for this restaurant, which I still stand by. However, we order wings for our son once or twice a week. What we found when we got home was not the usual mix of wings and drumsticks, but no drumsticks and 18 wings with an elbow attached to it. He wasn't happy, so I called the store to see if this was there new idea of wings, and was told by the woman that answered that she wasn't sure, and there was nothing they could do about it. So, you better hope you get the proper item you want, or apparently there is nothing they can do to help you! Usually, the customer service is great, and people are friendly, but I don't know if we will ever be going back there ....the.ambiance was still good, but when service is bad, it doesn't matter. Very disappointed. Thought it was a true, authentic Italian restaurant. Only thing I enjoyed to be honest was the house salad. The bread was from Sysco and very unappetizing. That was the first sign that there was something up with this place. The ambience and the lighting was on point. Overall a 2/5 for me after going to Italy and having Italian food. It's so good and they're usually very efficient with service even though they're always busy ever since they opened up just a few months ago, they've been slammed but even though they're busy they've still made time to make sure to get to know you to make sure that you are given a great experience, they've also been so busy that they have to open up a second location just to ease the flow. It seems to be a work in process. Some highs, some lows. Meatballs very good. Entry area has empty boxes stacked around. Should have a wine list instead of saying we have white and red. The sauce on the Meatball appetizer is authentic Italian sauce just like my Italian grandmother used to make. Took me back to all of those great Sunday feasts at her house. And I love a good NY style pizza. In my opinion the best way to tell a really good pizza is to try their plain cheese. This place has a great cheese pizza. I love it. if you love Italian food choose wisely here. first order was for a sandwich which listed its ingredients, including roasted peppers and balsamic glaze. opened roll, no peppers or glaze but meat was ok, roll delicious (not made there, hmm). was told by waitress when asked @oh the lasagna is delicious, ordered that, ingredients listed ricotta. got it home, no ricotta, either precooked noodles or they use the ones that bake in the sauce, dense and gummy, chunks of hamburger, sauce acidic, watery, with an odd floral flavor, that's it with a mound of mozzarella, the low cost cheese of no flavor but is cheap and looks good to some. I returned it for the chicken parm, breast beaten to flat, burned all around the edges, watery sauce n pasta. won't be ordering again. it's apparent their food is mediocre and for the cost, not worth it. the sandwich roll excellent, again not made there. 4/10 read more

Well this is the third and last time that I will be going here . As someone who was in the restaurant industry, if I served any of the items that I tried ,to my clientele , I would be thoroughly embarrassed , this last order was for 3 Italian steak sands , between the 3 there wasn't enough meat for 1 ,on top of that it was steak-ums. The rolls were stale , the sandwich was dryer than a bulls fart, it was supposed to have mushrooms ,onions , spinach and cheese , which there was I piece of onion and mushroom . I really do not like to leave reviews as I know how hard this industry can be , but unfortunately I can't let this one go . I've read all the reviews on here and either i just happened to be the unlucky one 3 times now or the people that are eating here truly do not know good Italian food . read more

Visited on a Friday evening restaurant was busy. We were greeted and seated right away. The first thing you notice is the bright cheery ambiance . Table is covered with paper with cloth napkins. Waiter was very busy she stoped by to take drink order then we waited. About 15 minutes drinks came and our order was taken. Then we waited bread and Salad came about the same time. Bread was warm and delicious. The salad's were lacking as were all of our meals. As one of our group said " there just isn't anything special" about the food for the prices. read more

I had a craving for chicken riggies and was searching for the best place around to get it and that is how I came to find this lovely little restaurant. It's in a plaza which generally doesn't catch your attention from the outside, but inside was very cutely decorated. Our wait staff was great and checked on us an appropriate amount of times without getting in the way of conversations and also refilled our drinks without us having to ask. The owner stopped by at one point to make sure everything was okay too and that's always a nice homey touch. The fried mozzarella appetizers were huge mozzarella balls bigger than golf balls with a nice crunchy outside and firm cheese inside that you could cut into pieces and a seasoned marinara dipping sauce. The bread appetizer was like pizza dough fresh from the oven and pretty good dipped in the marinara sauce as well. The chicken riggies were as good as everyone said with a spicy enough sauce to get my mouth tingling but my eyes were not watering. It wasn't a very creamy or thick sauce but it was flavorful and hit the spot. And the lasagna that I tried was cheesy and flavorful and tasted homemade. There was a steady stream of people coming in and I'm happy they have so much business because the food was fantastic and the portions enough for three meals. read more

Our family of four ordered the margherita pizza tonight. So fresh and delicious tasting, the cheese was perfectly stretchy and the crust was just the right blend of crispy and chewy. The restaurant interior is small, but bright and modern looking with the lemon theme. Our only critique is that for young children you need to come prepared. They didn't have chocolate milk or juice, but luckily lemonade. And we brought our own bag of coloring stuff, but the service was quick so we didn't need them for too long. I was so excited to try the food here. After waiting about 35 minutes past the time I was told the food would be ready, I drove the 25 minutes home to find we had the wrong order. I called the restaurant and asked that they return my money. I was offered a future meal which I declined. We tried the food and in general, it was unremarkable if competent. and we didn't finish any of the dishes (a rarity for us!). There are seceral as good or better Italian restairants between them and us. Certainly won't be back. read more

Stopped in on a Friday night and as expected the place was busy yet the young man that greeted us couldn't have been more welcoming and willing to accommodate seating for a party of three with one being wheelchair bound. Initially the service was a bit spotty but understandably so as they had just opened a couple weeks prior and training some new help. We almost left to return on a slower night but were met by a gentleman who as it turned out was the owner. He apologized for the slow service and convinced us to stay. Boy were we glad that we did!!! My dining companions and I each entirely enjoyed our meals. Calamari fra diavolo that took me back to the days of my grandmother's cooking, eggplant rolitini that was specially requested as a dinner portion rather than appetizer as featured and linguine with clam sauce with whole (still in shell) clams. A basket of house made mini Italian bread rolls were also served and absolutely wonderful. Lucky for me that my dining companions where watching their carbs and each only had one roll. After our meal we were sent a plate of mini cannolis which were the perfect way to finish a fabulous meal. They tasted as if a little espresso was added to the filling. Delightful!!! Keep in mind this is real deal Italian homemade cooking. For anyone thinking Olive Garden is Italian cooking (no disrespect to OG) this is not a place for you. Before leaving we began talking with the owner who is originally from Calabria and operated a number of restaurants in New York City for many years. He has decided to move to central New York to be close to his family and grandchildren. It's all about family!! This is the second time ordering take out from this restaurant. While the quality of their food is good I will absolutely never go back. The first experience I ordered 2 dinners and in advance they told me they were short staffed and it would be about an hour, which was totally fine with me. They even offer to call me when it was ready which I thought was great. I never got the call, which again was not the end of the world, but I walked in about an hour and fifteen minutes later and there was a line about 15 or so people out the door, no staff to seat/manage take out orders and I didn't end up getting my feed for about another 20 minutes. Giving them the benefit of the doubt I then ordered 2 pizzas about a month later. We called the order in at noon for 430pm. I'm the meantime we attempted to add another cheese pizza to our order with about an hour lead time, but they were not able to accommodate that due to ovens not working properly, but they confirmed that my original order of 2 pizzas would still be ready at 430. I showed up at 430, paid and the hostess let me know it would be about another 15 minutes before my order was ready. If you value your time at all, do not order from this restaurant. If you have nothing better to do, you'd probably enjoy the food. read more
