Regular slice and garlic knots

The pizza was good. I got a regular slice and 5 garlic knots for $5. The man that helped me was very nice.

My family and I have been trying local pizza stores and have to say, this is the best Italian restaurant around us. I've eaten from this restaurant twice and both times we were greeted by the owner who you can tell is super friendly to all his customers. The calamari is super crispy from start to finish. I reccomend getting the grandma pie rather than a regular pie. The clam pasta is delicious-best I've had in awhile. I'll be coming here often on pizza nights.

ordered grilled chicken, olive oil over pasta. Get home, a pool of water in the pasta. On my close my seat how there's still this much in the bag . Pictures speak for themselves. The worst Italian restaurant ever as of right now in my life.

Ok, so last minute I found out I was having guests for New Year's Eve. I worked all day, and my guests were arriving at 6, when I got home @ 5. I called Il sapore and ordered a bunch of apps for people to pick on, and look how beautiful it was in my pics. Everything tasted amazing, and I am always happy with their food. It's the perfect place to order when you want that old fashioned Italian home cooking, but don't want to cook!

The food is really well priced with big portions. The Pizza is excellent a cross between traditional and thin crust.

A excellent new pizza place in the location of the old M&J Pizza. Prices are excellent and portions are big. The owner is always there watching over the preparation of the food. The pizza is a cross between thin crust and traditional Pizza. A must-try

As an indecisive person, I really liked that you could order your pies half and half. I ended up…read moregoing with a half classic, half MOR pie ($24.75). I thought the sauce was quite nice, with a good balance of sweet to acidic. The dough was thinner than I expected, so I experienced significant flop when I pulled out a slice to eat. If you prefer your pizza to be able to hold its shape when folded, I would suggest allowing the pizza to cool down a little before eating. The MOR pie was surprisingly good-- the onions added some sweetness and crunch while the ricotta helped keep the pizza from becoming too heavy. The classic plain pie is also excellent, with a good amount of cheese and a well-baked undercarriage. Overall, an excellent pizza-- the crowds did not lie. I would love to return to try their garbage or a salute pie, along with a cup of Ralph's Italian ice from across the street (I'm told this is the elite combo). PS- Pies only, no slices. Slight discount with cash, and there is a small parking lot in the back.

I'm still not over Ungaro Coal Fired Pizza Cafe. This place has completely won me over. The food is…read moreexcellent across the board, and the service matches it. It has a casual vibe, but still feels like a proper restaurant, which makes it perfect for anything from a quick bite to a relaxed sit down meal. It's a small spot, so I'd definitely recommend making a reservation if you plan to dine in. I've tried their signature coal oven pizza, chicken parmigiana, penne vodka, and the flatbread. Everything was absolutely delicious. You can also order drinks, not just soda or juice, which adds to the overall experience. Street parking can be a challenge, but it's worth it. I was so caught up with enjoying the food that I barely took any photos, and that just says it all. I'll definitely be back and add more pictures next time.

Many cultures around the Mediterranean have different forms of chickpea fritters and/or…read morechickpea-filled sandwiches. There's of course falafel to the east, garantita in Algeria, and panisse in France (or socca in a similar vein). Sicilian panelle is Italy's counterpart, and the version at Ungaro is an excellent example of it. The panelle comes served with a healthy serving of ricotta on a seeded bun. It has a relatively mild, filling flavor that lets you fully enjoy the chickpea fritters themselves. They also have a potato croquette sandwich on the menu - a distant cousin of the Vada pav I plan to try next time. The half vodka pizza we tried was good, with high-quality mozzarella and a decadent sauce. The pie itself had a nice chewiness to it - if I had any suggestions, perhaps next time they could go a bit easier on the quantity of the sauce.

Schlepping all the way out to Staten Island for this pizza was a risk I decided to take, and it paid off. The restaurant is close by the Staten Island Railway, and inside feels like a true Italian pizzeria, but not like one you would see in Brooklyn. This one is more high quality, and it shows in their pizza. The pizza is phenomenal. Outstanding. I got two pies, one red and one white, for contrast and both are worthy of terrific merits. El Naso, the red pie, is beautiful in color and taste. The porky sausage and the hot soppresata add a nice flavor to the pie, the crispy crust, it was all lining up nicely to be a great pie. I am happy I went with my gut and got this. For my white pie suggestion, I asked my server, Leslie (more on her in a moment), what to get. She suggested El Pizzaiolo. Like the red pie, it tastes gorgeous thanks to the silky and luxurious truffle oil. The crimini mushrooms and Italian sausage accentuate it beautifully and the Parmesan reggiano cheese provides a sharp, salty note to the pie. It rounds the whole thing out nicely. Leslie is one of the reasons I enjoyed my experience. At first I thought she was just a tease with her giggly and youthful demeanor, but after talking to her I found something more deeper and meaningful. There is a depth of intelligence that she has but a naïveté that needs to be cracked before her. The fact that tips mean nothing to her speak volumes about who she is. I really wanted to give her something significant to take home with her, but fun conversation and the fact she is mentioned here will be enough for now for this attractive, lissome soul. Since both pies filled me up nicely, I had to pass on dessert. But I promised that down the line I will be back because the pizza is just so darn good. Leslie, thank you for the lovely experience and I hope someone sees my compliment and gives you a little extra in your next paycheck. You deserve it. Like this pizzeria well deserving of a five star review.

I told him, "brother's." he smiled, nodded, and said "they're good." He was right. It's a nice place, nothing fancy, they do have a nice dining area. The people are friendly. I decided to get a margherita slice, and I saw these little balls. I asked what they were, and he said "potato croquettes." they came in an order of three. I got my food and I took it back to my hotel. It was amazing. The slice, the dough was perfectly thin, not tough at all, it was a very good quality cheese, I could definitely taste the basil, and the sauce underneath was amazing. The croquettes, they were not over breaded or over fried, they were very tender. The potato inside was creamy and delicious, and they came with an amazing marinara for dipping. This wasn't just your normal tomato sauce. This marinara had a deep rich flavor that went perfect with the croquettes. The price was extremely reasonable for what I got. They are cash only, but they do have ATM at the entrance to the store. I'm a fan. Next time I'm in the neighborhood, I will be back. Thank you.

The pan pizza was soggy in the center, tough throughout most of the slices, and not crispy except, mercifully, at the edges. It was loaded with mozzarella but didn't have nearly enough tomato sauce to cut through the fat. The buffalo chicken pizza had a tough, mealy undercarriage, with dry chicken and not enough sauce. My order was delayed by about 10 minutes, taking over an hour to arrive even though I live nearby. It definitely wasn't worth the $74 I paid post-tip. Can't speak to the ambiance since it was a delivery.
