I've had several parties at this Italian ,Pizzeria Restaurant. Has a cute party room can fit about 30. The Pizza and food are delicious. His wife man's the kitchen and she is an excellent cook. It is like having home made Italian. I'm a picky person when it comes to Italian food, since I cook at home myself! They also have gelato and pastries made in house by the owner and he makes delicious cakes too. My favorite dish is the Pasta w/Sardines and wild fennel (Sicilian) when they make it. This place is run by the owner and his wife and daughter. The service is excellent. They make you feel like family The food is always good. Plus you don't have to break the bank. Reasonable!!! Fantastic, family-owned & operated, local Italian Restaurant. The food is delicious and tastes homemade! Great place to host a small party. Everyone who works there is extremely nice. Great pizza! Rice balls with marinara sauce are fantastic! They make a pasta in a creamy sauce with zucchini that is amazing! They even make their own homemade desserts and gelato that are incredible. My family and I have been trying local pizza stores and have to say, this is the best Italian restaurant around us. I've eaten from this restaurant twice and both times we were greeted by the owner who you can tell is super friendly to all his customers. The calamari is super crispy from start to finish. I reccomend getting the grandma pie rather than a regular pie. The clam pasta is delicious-best I've had in awhile. I'll be coming here often on pizza nights. read more

Ok, so last minute I found out I was having guests for New Year's Eve. I worked all day, and my guests were arriving at 6, when I got home @ 5. I called Il sapore and ordered a bunch of apps for people to pick on, and look how beautiful it was in my pics. Everything tasted amazing, and I am always happy with their food. Was there last night. Had not been here in quite a while when it was under different ownership. For starters, they needed more than 1 person handling our group of about 23 people. It was a while before the girl took my order. The appetizer came after I had already gotten the pizza. That really didn't bother me though. I had the meat lover's pizza. Came with pepperoni, sausage and meatballs. That was pretty tasty as were the fried zucchini sticks. Bil came out to a very reasonable $32. I would go back again. Have been going to this Pizzeria Restaurant sense it was M&J's. Actually these owners are as good if not better. Food is wonderful and authentic. The owners wife does the cooking and he makes the pizza. Sause or as I call it gravy is very good. In my opinion the best eggplant parm on the Island, my favorite, the wife enjoys there Chicken Francize and shrimp scampi. But if you are just looking for pizza your at the right place. I was new to the neighborhood and was looking to see how the takeout would be. I checked out Yelp and this Italian spot was nearby and had good ratings. So I ordered the usual suspects. Fried calamari, linguine and white clam sauce, shrimp scampi and a slice of pizza to boot. Man! Everything was delicious. I haven't tried a place for the first time that was great like this place. My husband and I had a Valentine/Anniversary dinner in their newly renovated dining room - cozy, warm, clean and friendly service, but most important the menu served was delicious! We went back with our family for a Sunday dinner pre birthday party celebration and the entire family raved about how delicious and fresh the food was. Online orderers beware. Ordered pizza through the Slice app. Approximately 15 minutes after placing the order I received a call from an employee who works for Slice. I was told the pizzeria cancelled my order because "they aren't accepting online orders today"... The employee from Slice sounded surprised as he told me this. This pizzeria is on the Slice app, but clearly they pick and choose which online orders to accept. Please note, we live less than 5 minutes away from this pizzeria. We just ordered from there had fried Calamari, light and delicious. Spinach and broccoli rolls were the best. We also has the Specialty pizza sfingiorno, with onions and breadcrumbs, the dough was light and the sauce was excellent. The chicken masala hero was tasty and he gave us some sauce on the side. The place feels old fashioned and gives off good vibes whenever I go there, so I love it! The decoration inside is aesthetic and 1950s vibes. The owners are warm and friendly. The service here is good too. Ordered a shrimp parm hero and a chicken and vodka parm hero, both were amazing! The shrimp was perfectly cooked, not rubbery or overdone and the chicken itself on the hero was seasoned very well and was really flavorful. The bread on both of the heros was soft and fresh, not chewy at all, with the perfect amount of sauce on each. Delivery was within the time promised, and food arrived hot. Try them out! I used to have great cheese pie here and thought it was the best. It probably was the best until the restaurant's name was changed from M&Js. Then I turned away for awhile.
