While I'm not much of a pasta person, I was impressed. The Pappardelle all' Aragosta was so good - therapy in a glass, all you need is 1 and it was divine. Honestly this visit wasn't planned, but even without a reservation, was seated. I enjoyed the interior, it was fun to look at everything. Our server was lovely, attentive, and happy to give some recommendations. I'm happy I got to try this place, I will definitely recommend to others, and I'm sure I'll be back!
5 stars all around! Parking is easy--there's a garage and valet service. The service itself is outstanding: attentive without being overbearing, knowledgeable without being pushy (which is the perfect balance). We had dinner here last night (I've been before, but some in our group hadn't). We started with Caesar salads and cocktails, all of which were excellent. There were six of us and everyone ordered a different entrée--every single dish was outstanding. To finish, we shared three desserts and coffee, and everything was just as impressive. Dining out has become so expensive that we've really dialed it back, but a place like this is 100% worth every single dollar. Restaurants that truly hit every mark like this are rare. I would highly, highly recommend.
A truly memorable meal with my foodie friend. The parmigiano melanzano eggplant was superb and she picked at it all through dinner. It was a huge portion. Drinks were good, delicious. The menu is impressive with many top-of-shelf choices in pasta and Italian entrees. I had the spaghetti tini ortolano, which was delicious and more than enough for me to take home. She had her usual ravioli stuffed with delicious bits of meat. Salad was a wonderful choice. There's always fresh bread on the table. The atmosphere, while bustling, is still quiet enough to have an intimate conversation. Good wine selection and they come around with a dessert tray because no paper menu could do it justice. We split a creme brulee and took home the majority of it because we were so full. Definitely a treat night to go out. I highly recommend if you want to take someone for an impressive meal and feel like you've been treated well.
I'll Terrazzo Carmine is a beautiful restaurant with a warm, inviting atmosphere. The lunch menu offered great options and everything we ordered was cooked deliciously-from steak salad, chicken salad to Caesar salad and seafood pasta. The staff was friendly and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. The only downside was that parking wasn't the easiest but overall it was a wonderful dining experience. Bon appetite!
Incredible experience all the way around. In my quest for the best Italian restaurants in Seattle I made a reservation here a couple of weeks ago. Parking was directly adjacent in a parking garage and they do validate for four hours. The restaurant was warm and inviting with an intimate atmosphere. White table cloths adorn each table, and the smell wafting through the restaurant from the kitchen was heavenly. We had the Fettuccine Al Pesto Con Gamber and Penne Salmon. Each dish was perfectly cooked. The salmon was moist with a hint of pink, and the pasta was perfect. The shrimp were not overcooked, the sauce was rich and flavorful, and the pasta was incredible. We saved just enough room for dessert and split a crème brûlée. Perfectly done with a beautiful crust and adorned with mint and fruits. Our server, Mike, was fantastic. He appeared when we needed him and made some great suggestions. Great experience and definitely worth trying
From the moment we walked in and were greeted we fell in love with this place. I made a reservation a month ago. It's hard to get into. It's very expensive, so save your money and save this place for a special occasion, or try for a spontaneous table in the bar. I had the rigatoni... I thought it was going to be super heavy with the meat, but it was not. It was the perfect choice. It was a flavor bomb. The red sauce was done exceptionally well. The pasta was cooked perfectly. I loved the rigatoni noodle because the pasta could stick to it. They definitely know what they're doing here. This must've been some great grandmother's fabulous recipe that we were eating. SO SO GOOD! I wish I could cook pasta like this at home. I'm pretty good at pasta, but I'm not this good. My husband got the angel hair pasta with clams and mussels... And the angel hair was absolutely incredible... I'm wondering how they make this pasta so teeny tiny. It was also done perfectly. My angel hair would clump... These people are pros. Patricia, our waitress was fantastic. She put up with 1000 questions and helped us make our decisions and everything was perfection. Her Service was superb. She didn't come to the table too fast nor did she come too slow. She let us have our own conversations and didn't try to be a part of our party. I love that... It's old-school service. She had impeccable timing for absolutely everything. She suggested an Italian wine, because we didn't want something too expensive. The bottle of wine she suggested was $45. I thought it was outstanding. I could taste the old vines and we loved it. We sat outside... And she turned on the heater for us, which was really nice. She told us if we got too cold, she would give us a blanket... We didn't need one. She was delightful! They're lucky to have her. I love this place... It's my new favorite place in town, although they have been here forever. I wanted to try their restaurant in Bellevue, but I've been trying to make a reservation for the last five years and I can never get in. This place has ambience. I will come to this restaurant over and over again, until I can try everything on the menu. One tiny thing, I wish their salad had veggies on it ... I love Tutta Bella's mista salad - and thought this one would be like that, but there were no cannelloni beans, red onions, or carrots. It was still delicious... I love the light vinaigrette.. Overall, this is a five star restaurant for sure. Anybody who had a negative review about this place, needs to get a grip on life. It was absolutely outstanding. I also want to give kudos to the gentleman (with a golden smile) who bussed our table - he helped our waitress - he had a great smile and a very happy quality about himself. I liked that. I could tell the customers have been coming here for years... Everybody look like a regular! The place is a little bit hidden, but I think that adds charm. Thank you for a wonderful evening... We will be back!
We had a hard time finding the entrance, walked around a couple times before finally looking at some reviews to see if anyone left a clue how to in the place Once inside, it was very elegant, dark wood and white table cloths We were seated right away at a table with a nice view of the whole restaurant up on a little landing. As we normally do when trying a place for the first time we ordered a little across the menu. For drinks my wife got the Friendly Reminder while I just had a white wine. For our appetizer I had the prosciutto and melon and a Caesar salad while the wife had the burratta. Prosciutto and melon was traditional and very good. Came with honey dew instead of cantaloupe but was really fresh and really refreshing Caesar salad was also good, very crisp lettuce and a nice dressing Burratta was good, fresh and tasty For our meals I had the lobster pappardelle and my wife had the halibut. Always judge an Italian place by the meatballs and how they cook pasta and this place did the pasta correctly. I loved it and ate it all and wished I had more The halibut was a little overcooked, so it was dry in places. The fish was a huge portion so my wife ate a lot of it and left the drier parts For dessert I ordered key lime pie, odd to order it on an Italian restaurant but it's one of my favorites and I rarely pass up a chance to get it. Washed it all down with coffee. Enjoyed the meal and the experience
We were craving Italian food, and found this spot! I ordered the Rigatoni Bolognese, which was made of ground veal, pork, and beef with tomatoes, herbs, and red wine. It had a rich, savory, and hearty flavor! And another surprise was the dessert, the waiter brought out a full tray of desserts and introduced each one to us. We couldn't resist and ended up choosing the Tiramisu and the Crème Brûlée! Both were amazing and top-notch! *Recommended to make a reservation on OpenTable, and they provide 4-hour complimentary valet parking with validation.
We sat outside on a cool night and the fire pit made the space feel cozy and comfortable. The décor is beautiful, and I really loved the outdoor setup. Random detail, but I noticed how big the tables were compared to most restaurants, which made the experience feel more spacious and relaxed. We started with the La Caprese, which was so fresh. The basil tasted like it had just been cut, the tomatoes were sweet and perfectly in season, and the smoked buffalo mozzarella felt like the perfect marriage between burrata and mozzarella. As expected, most of the pastas were made with eggs, but the kitchen was able to sub some dishes with an egg-free linguine. I ordered the Spaghettini Ortolano with linguine, and it was fantastic. There's no sauce, just goat cheese melting into the pasta to create this creamy, flavorful dish that I would happily order again. For dessert, I went with the mango sorbet. It started off good, but after a few bites, the flavor leaned a little toward freezer burn, which was a bit disappointing. Service was great throughout, and while it wasn't too busy outside, it's clearly a popular spot.
Elegant Italian dining experience, with pleasant servers. The menu offers plenty of options without being overwhelming; the same can be said for the wine list. The prices may seem high, but portions are large. We considered the antipasti plate for a starter, but changed our mind after a glance at the vitrine. We split the salad of the day and there was still enough to take home. It was delicious - perfectly grilled salmon, marinated wheat berries, and lightly dressed greens. The bread was crunchy and warm, which is always a nice touch. The pasta dishes were delicious, and perfectly cooked. The ravioli had a delicate sauce which elevated the filling. The cannelloni were generously filled and the tomato sauce was savory and happily mopped up with a piece of bread. There are both indoor and patio dining options. A lovely venue for special occasions, or just a nice lunch to celebrate the day.
I had a wonderful experience here! I have been to the Bellevue Carmine's quite a bit and fell in love with the ambiance there. I'm happy to report that Seattle's Carmine's is just as wistful and charming and they capture that same magic in the air. I've now tried both their patio and main dining room and loved both! If you have never been my two favorite must haves are the duck (comes with the best cherry sauce of my life) and the pesto and prawn pasta. I also think that Carmine's has the best Hugo Spritz and Espresso Martini in town, just my opinion. Can't wait to come back. The valet is free that sparks a lot of joy. Every person who works here treats their job like a career and I feel like family rather than a customer here. Thank you!
Went here for a quick stop for drinks. The service was friendly, quick, and effortless, and the ambiance was beautiful. I'm looking forward to coming back to try the food!

Grateful that there were reservations available on a Saturday night and that it was within walking distance from our AirBnB! The food is wonderful, service is fantastic, and the atmosphere is elegant without being stuffy! I really enjoyed the pacing of our meal. We ate a slice of bread before the appetizer arrived, followed quickly by our entrees. When the waiter brought over the massive dessert tray I'm pretty sure both my mom and I, as well as the table next to us gasped in awe. I don't know how the food tasted prior to this since we were here visiting for a weekend, however it was a lovely meal and I would definitely go again! read more

Il Terrazzo is a family favorite; we dine here fairly regularly. The white tablecloth/white coat service is a bit old fashioned, but that's part of the charm. The building that houses ILC might have had a facelift over the years, but the interior of the restaurant (and the old-school Italian menu/excellent service) has remained largely unchanged over the decades. It's a Seattle institution for good reason! Our favorites: the sweetbreads (which we always order as an appetizer to share); the duck; and for the younger members of the family, all of the pasta (but a certain youngest child has been known to order a second helping of the rigatoni Bolognese on more than one occasion, ha). Parking is very easy - they have valet in the garage next door (entrance is on S King, on the same side of the street/2 doors down from Cowgirls). read more

Let me first start off by saying, the service here is absolutely exceptional! We had an amazing dinner here. Perfect spot for a date night or any kind of celebration. As I was glancing at the menu, there were several pasta dishes caught my eye. I really like how they offer small and large portions. It's a great way to try different options and not be too stuffed. We got four dishes to share including the clam linguine, pesto fettuccine, gnocchi alla sorrentina, and the risotto of the day (crab & corn). They were all delicious! My only complaint would be that the gnocchi was a tad bit overcooked. I'm someone who usually doesn't have room for dessert but they sold me when they came around with their dessert tray. We couldn't resist and ended up ordering not one but three desserts, which included the spumoni ice cream, pistachio cannoli, and red velvet... it was definitely worth it! read more
Happened upon this hidden gem after tasting at Browne Family winery that is 50 feet away. Was looking for a bathroom that is in a common area and discovered this Italian and seafood restaurant was only steps away. Didn't even check Yelp. It looked good and the staff looks like pros so we asked to be seated. It was early, about 5pm and the restaurants as just getting organized for the night. The staff was welcoming and sat us in a nice and comfortable location with big window, just off the bar. Everything was delicious. Bartender recommended the Walla Wallla Betz Family Clos do betz and it was lovely. Bruschetta, halibut and clams were all amazing. Great service, great wine, great vibes, good food. Came to Il Terrazzo Carmine for our anniversary dinner after hearing so much hype about this spot and we were not disappointed. We had a reservation and, after checking in with the lovely hostess, were tucked into a corner of the restaurant at a lovely table for two. This is not the place for a quiet dinner. There were plenty of folx celebrating occasions so there was a bit of a din to contend with. I ordered the gnocchi and was instantly enamored of the soft, pillowy texture and delicate flavor. Husband had the salmon and risotto which did not disappoint. We ended the night with a decadent tiramisu that was the best I've ever had. A lovely spot for a date night or occasion! read more

Wow!! I met my sister for dinner at II Terrazzo and it was amazing! The wine selection was great and we opted for the Willamette Valley Pinot and weren't disappointed. For the starter, I had the Caesar Salad and my sister had the blackberry and fig salad and both were sooo yummy! For the entree, I had the braised halibut over risotto with mussels in a red sauce - it was one of the best meals I've had all year! My sister opted for the salmon pasta and was very happy with her choice. The service was excellent and the ambiance delightful. I am looking forward to coming back and trying other menu options. Came here for my birthday. Such a cute perfect spot to celebrate for lunch. Sat in the patio and was obsessed with the ambiance. Service was excellent. Food was good but not memorable. I would come back for a celebration but not because I'm craving the food. Not saying the food was terrible, it just didn't make me go "omg this is delicious!". read more

Loved the candlelit-dinner atmosphere for an anniversary dinner and service was great! Our server, Mike, was so attentive and answered all our questions about the menu. I liked how they offer large and small options for their pasta. I got the fettuccini with pesto and shrimp (small) and it was delicious! The shrimp was cooked very well, pasta had a good bite to it, and the pesto wasn't too heavy. My boyfriend got the cioppino which was brimming with seafood- I definitely stole a lot from his plate. They were also so sweet and gave us a tiramisu with a candle for our anniversary! I love a boozy tiramisu and this definitely lived up to that. read more

I was recommended Il Terrazzo Carmine by a friend, and it did not disappoint! We were celebrating our two dear friends' anniversary :) The restaurant felt intimate even though it was bustling with people. It was dimly lit, the dining area was divided into many smaller rooms, & of course white tablecloths to finish the look. We were located in a far room in a cozy corner. I loved how they had a hand-written card wishing our friends a happy anniversary too! Super thoughtful. Service was very efficient. They quickly took our orders & quickly got our food going. They knew exactly how to course our food so we never felt rushed or hungry, waiting for the items to come out. All of the food we ordered.. was SO GOOD. Like 20/10 (and not just because we had a few drinks in our system lol). Literally everything we ordered was perfect, but here are a few must haves in my book: - Burrata Salad: 2 huge burrata balls w/ beets & other greens drizzled with balsamic. Maybe it's personal because I absolutely love beets, but it was so good! - Linguine Alle Vongole: the clam to pasta ratio was insane! I could hardly see the linguine noodles since there were so many clam shells. - Raviolini Pesce: large ravioli w/ super flavorful lobster cream sauce. Oh, heavens this was delicious!! I think it was my favorite dish of them ALL. - Ossobuco: super tender meat, and delicious pasta to soak up the good sauce! Are you hungry yet?? Have you made your reservation?? I had the most splendid, elegant dining experience at II Terrazzo Carmine the other night for dinner. I wanted to go somewhere extra special with my friend on the last night of our trip and was happy when I found this place online and was able to get a reservation. It caught my attention because of its spot on yelps list of the most romantic restaurants in the U.S. I can definitely see why it's on there! Such a beautifully decorated restaurant. Classic with modern touches. Everything we ate was delectable. The menu was large and had lots of good options. I like that they offered half portions of the pasta if you wanted to share or try other dishes. On the expensive side but not as much as other nicer restaurants in the area. My friend absolutely loved the duck he ordered and said it "fell right off the bone". My eggplant Parmesan was delicious as well. The sauce tasted fresh and homemade. For desserts they come around with a tray and you can choose what you want which I loved. We got the red velvet cake. Solid cake, very good. Service was above and beyond. Our waters always being filled and felt extremely attended to. The restaurant provides free valet parking for anyone dining there for up to 4 hours. This was so convenient and helpful as parking is pretty tricky downtown. I would highly recommend this spot for a special occasion. Did not disappoint. read more

This place is absolutely stunning! As a European I can tell you this is real Italian restaurant! Me and hubby wanted to have a nice Friday romantic dinner. And we like to discover new places in DT seattle because we live here and its 20 min walking distance for us. I made a reservation in advance and we got very nice seating inside. First of all if you are person like me who loves details and hedonist (who loves not only food taste but also presentation, details, ambience) This place has very good traditions - first of all, salt and pepper! Its so important to have this on the table. I dont understand why in America people underestimate importance of this things and its so rare to see that even in expensive restaurants. Second, plates are so pleasantly beautiful that makes me happy to eat from beautiful tableware. Decorations, flowers, tablecloth everything is amazingly beautiful! Food We got nice warm bread with butter. Would be good to have some olive oil with sea salt just like they serve in Italy instead of butter. We had a crab bruschetta for starter which I wasn't fan of because it was too garlicy and bread was way too hard. I am type of person who research on the menu before coming to the restaurant and when I make a reservation I am 100% sure what I am going to eat. I appreciate their up to date menu because many restaurants have outdated menu online. So my choice was crab ravioli which was absolutely delicious. It met all my expectations with nice lobster sauce and delicious crab meat. My husband had cannelloni with lamb meat. Again, I give them credits for having a half portion. I dont like to eat big pasta dish and I love to enjoy pasta in small quantities otherwise I loose that enjoyment. Me and my husband we both took half of portion and I was so happy about that. They have all desserts on the display. So you know how it will look like. Its such a cool idea because I got disappointed so many times ordering something that was not what I thought it would be. Again, for people like me who likes to know in advance how it will look like its very creative and good option. My favorite Italian dessert is Tiramisu. This was another surprise how good it was. I could feel all flavors of cognac, mascarpone, cacao and biscuit. I think better you can get only in Italy. Service was very pleasant and we will be back to enjoy more delicious crab ravioli. read more

When you walk in the dessert table is centered in the walkway to your seating and it is lovely to behold. White table cloth dining but not a strict dress code, we were tourist in jeans and parkas and was treated like royalty. Service was friendly, engaging and over all great hospitality. 6/1/21 My friend of 15 years is retiring and wanted to treat her to a special dinner. Il Terrazzo has always been a favorite of ours for special occasions when our office moved to Pioneer Square / International District over six years ago. We've had Admin Day lunches here. Il Terrazzo always makes you feel welcome. The service is always impeccable, from hostess to waiter and server. The food is always delicious and perfectly cooked. My go to is usually the Spaghetti Ortolano, but I the risotto of the day was dungeness crab and asparagus, couldn't say no to that. I started with an insalata mista and my friend and I split the creme brulee. Terrazzoo always has a large variety of desserts to select from. My sentiments are going to echo many reviews already posted, but my main point is that I am pleasantly surprised and happy to say this is a rare spot in Seattle that NOT overrated. It's a low lit, white linen, romantic vibe. However, we saw everything from couples, to guys night out, to a sales pitch going on during our visit. It was Wednesday evening, and we did not reserve because it was spur of the moment. We arrived about 5:30 and were able to get a primo street parking spot, but I understand they do have underground validated parking. The hostess said she could seat us if we got out by 7pm, and we just made it; but we had 3 courses. Our server was fantastic. He was friendly and efficient even though the place was full by 6:30. So, if possible, I recommend reservations. We had eggplant parmesan, ravioli di pesce, gnocchi, flourless chocolate cake, red velvet cake, and cappuccino. All of it was delicious, and none of us had any critique whatsoever. In the future, for my personal preference because I was so happy with the food, I would spend my appetite on the main courses and forgo dessert. I experienced much more euphoria over our plates and even the butter and bread than the dessert. For me, the butter is perfection. Creamy, a little sweet, and the rustic bread with its soft center and strong crust that gives just a little pull when you bite it. I could have it all again today and not change a thing! read more

4 of us were looking for a place for dinner on Friday evening and ended up being here. We reached 20 mins before our reservation and were seated immediately. The place looked fancy, someplace suitable for a special occasion. We got the burrata (2/5) and Parmigiana DiMelanzane (4/5) for appetizers. The burrata was particularly not great and was not worth the $18 at all. For mains 2 of us got the gnocchi (3/5), spaghettini ortolano (2/5) and pennette con salmone (4/5). The server asked us if we wanted to look at the dessert menu and then brought us a huge tray with desserts to select our desserts! This was a bit funny as we didn't get any desserts and they were lugging that big tray around! Overall the service was great, the server went above and beyond but the food was mediocre. After walking about Seattle we found this spot & lucked out getting seated at a small table made for 2. Hubby had been craving Italian, read the various reviews & wanted to give it a try. We started with red wine & the special roasted pear salad with gorgonzola, candied pecans, mixed greens all with a lite vinaigrette - the vinaigrette was lackluster, while the grilled pears took center stage. For the mains: one salmon & one Chilean sea bass. The salmon was served over risotto with asparagus, overall scrumptious. The Chilean sea bass came with a red/tomato sauce & black risotto, when combined the bite was divine. Onto desserts: we did the red velvet cake & cheesecake - neither made the grade; the red velvet cake was dry, while the cheesecake was lacking the cream cheese filling. If I had to make a guess, these were brought in & not made in house. As for the wines, their red wines by the glass were subpar. Kudos to our waitress, Heather, & bartender, Diego, who helped my hubby find a wine to go with his meal. Definitely a try again place. read more

This is one of the best restaurants I have ever experienced. I have been in the industry and I have to say the attention to detail is impeccable. I went to lunch with my boss and a few co workers and I was excited to try everything. I had the latte, the halibut and lemon butter pasta special they had today, and the crème brûlée. We came here for dinner on a weekday & it was busy. We started with the calamari simmered in garlic & tomatoes. A nice change from being fried. We also had the salad special of grilled peach with greens. A couple of us had the dinner special of halibut and squid ink pasta. The halibut was cooked slightly too long but still full of flavour. I enjoyed the pasta. The other diner ordered seafood ravioli which was delish. Seafood was fresh & tasty. We had the key lime pie dessert. We enjoyed it as it was like a cheesecake texture. They really entice you with the dessert tray showing all their tasty desserts. There's a parkade nearby but you try to park on the street out front. The ambience was perfect on a summer evening. A great venue for special occasions! There's even outdoor seating. Service was good. Make sure you make reservations. read more

Is there a parking garage?
Yes, there is a parking garage. You can have the ticket validated by the restaurant to get free parking. However, do it right before you leave. I think there is a small window of 10 minutes given to get to your car and exit.
Does one really need to dress up to eat here? We're going to be attending a Mariners game and would like a good meal beforehand but plan on dressing casual. Thanks.
