Despite that, I was still charged a hefty diagnostic fee just to be told exactly what I had already explained. I was quoted on the phone for $1,200 yet the diagnostic alone was $700 not including actually fixing my condenser! What made the experience even worse was the mechanic's attitude. Instead of being professional, he complained to me about how difficult the diagnosis was, even though the issue had already been identified. He also went on about how difficult customers can be, which was completely inappropriate and unprofessional. As a customer, I don't expect to be vented to or made to feel like I'm part of the problem. I understand that shops have procedures, but charging me for a diagnosis I had already provided, then complaining about the work and about customers, left a very bad impression. I felt overcharged, disrespected, and disappointed with the entire experience. I won't be returning and would not recommend!!!

He took it to All Around Auto and they were able to diagnose the problem quickly. It was clear we'd have to rent him a car to drive home in and leave mine there as parts needed to be ordered and our vehicle was not first in line (they of course had other customers!). It took a week to get the parts and then a day to install the new fuel line. They were communicative and helpful thru the entire experience. It was an expensive fix, but it felt fair for all they had to do to fix the issue. Pro tip: pay in cash so you don't have to pay the credit card use fees.
