This In-N-Out used to be good. Ever since the Oakland In-N-Out location closed down, the additional traffic to this location has caused a significant drop in quality of food and a huge increase in wait times. During the dinner rush, you can expect to wait around one hour for your order to be ready (if you order inside). The drive-through line spills onto the streets out of the parking lot, so there are long lines of cars at the traffic light shortly after existing the tunnel. Don't even try to park in the parking lot because there is guaranteed to be no spots. This evening, I ordered a hamburger with extra tomato, extra lettuce and extra grilled onions. However, when I received my burger, it had the skimpiest amount of toppings. On top of this, the patty was overcooked and dry -- something I've never experienced before at any In-N-Out location. The order of fries I got were soggier than usual, despite ordering them well-done. Tables here were filthy. Most locations have a staff member constantly walking around the dining room to clear and clean tables but they did not have one here. The condiment station was also an absolute mess: ketchup dispenser was out, no pepper packets were available, one of the napkin dispensers was empty, while the other one was jammed. When I asked for two forks for my animal-styles fries at the main counter, they could only provide one because they had ran out. This is a disgrace for an In-N-Out location and I do not plan to stop by again. Definitely going to the Pinole location from now on. read more

As a southern California and Los Angeles native, I have the authority to say that this in and out hits the spot and has great service. My girlfriend and I probably eat here at least once a week and rarely do we ever go through the drive-through because the line is typically too long. The trick is generally to park and order inside and order takeout. The food is consistent, stays hot and is made with care. Especially for those of us with very complex secret menu orders. And depending on the day and time that you go, the inside can be super packed with locals and highschoolers. When the weather permits, it's really awesome to eat at the outside tables so we can grab with our dog and maybe get him a puppy patty I love this in an out location as it reminds me of home! read more

I don't know if it's the staff, the ingredients, or maybe the environment, but what used to be a great midnight meal has turned into me consistently rushing to the toilet on four consecutive occasions. This was over the course of a handful of months dating back to August but nevertheless, I don't feel confident I can return to this location again. It's also possible I'm just not able to stomach In-an-Out anymore altogether. If that's the case, this isn't directed at this location but it would be to the food/company altogether. Came here the day before Easter Sunday around 7pm. Best time to come, so much parking and parking here is small, congested, and tight. So that was a plus. I ordered 2 double doubles and 2 fries. The burgers hardly had any lettuce and I love me a lettuce crunch in a burger. One of the burger presentation was sloppy but too hungry to care haha. The seasoning/salt was a good amount and the fries were not cold. The table booth we sat it was dirty so we wiped it ourselves. There was a staff going around bussing and wiping tables but we beat him to it. We waited 10 min to get our order which wasn't too bad on a slow day. The double double cheeseburger was chefs kiss. The animal fries were lowkey overwhelming. To be honest, I would rather order normal fries next time. A very filling meal. Great customer service too. Absolutely love this location. They made some changes and they all work! From the time you drive up to order and interact with their friendly staff to when you actually get your food, the experience is great! We went to get a quick bite Friday night and it was soo busy. We got the usual Double double and Cheese burger combo's with unsweetened tea ($21 approx). The service here is amazing and the staff is so kind. We got our food and ate in the car since the restaurant looked packed inside. The Double double was delicious, fresh and flavourful 9/10. The fries were actually really good, dint feel fried and were perfectly salted 10/10. The cheeseburger was excellent as well 9/10. The lettuce was crisp, patties were warm and the buns were delicious making the whole burger so so good. Note- They ask if you want the onion and I said yes. It has a strong flavour so be aware of that. The teas were ok ok and I would suggest not to use the paper straws as it changed the flavour of the drink for me. They do work as fast as they could while giving good service. But it's crucial to be aware at that speed. Prices have gone up and it has made me want to stay away from this place. I also feel like the patty got a lot thinner, but maybe I am wrong. The fries were a little too floppy for me. I should've asked for it well done, so they were more crispy. The service was fast as I got there right at opening. They got my order wrong, but were happy to fix it without no complaints or attitude. I stopped by with my partner while we were in Alameda. We ordered in person at the counter, my partner got a hamburger plus onion, and I got animal fries and a regular size strawberry shake. The animal fries are technically part of the secret menu, and the restaurant was also quite busy, so it took probably a 5-10 minute wait to get our food but the staff were all friendly and efficient. The strawberry shake is quite sweet, it does have a little bit of the acidic tang of strawberry but it mostly just takes more like strawberry ice cream in a drinkable form. I thought it was decent given the price, I'm not really a fan of paper straws but it seems they offer those now for environmental reasons. As for the animal fries, I was underwhelmed and I found it too mayo heavy and sour overall, and would've preferred something else to balance it out - maybe someday In N Out can consider adding plant-based/alternative meats to their repertoire to improve the protein options for vegetarians. They do have some tables outside the restaurant, and I appreciate that they use their outdoor loudspeaker system to broadcast when orders are ready so that you can wait outside and still hear when it's your turn to pick up. read more

They follow the covid regulations here well, and social distancing is usually enforced. I typically will get the double-double burger, and at least when I got it the burger was packaged very well and tasted great! While it is the simple quintessential American burger, it is done well and really hits the spot. The fries are also good, and I would definitely recommend getting it animal-style so that you can get the animal sauce with it. Also, the price is pretty cheap (especially for Bay Area prices), so that is a big plus as well. While I was visiting California, I visited In-N-Out Burger, and I'm so glad that I did! I went to this location a couple of times, and it was always busy, which is a good sign! The first time, I ordered a Double Double Combo. A Double Double is a burger with two beef patties and two slices of cheese. I asked for the fries to be extra well done and for onions in my burger. You can also ask for the fries to be lightly cooked too if that's what you prefer. The second time, I ordered a Double Double Combo with Animal Style fries and with onions in my burger. You can order the fries Animal Style, and it comes with cheese, onions, and spread. I really liked the burger. It was quite cheesy which I liked and the burger had a bit of crispiness to it, which I also liked. I believe the crispiness came from the beef. The beef was very nicely prepared and very nicely cooked. Overall, it was a really great burger and I really enjoyed it! The Animal Style fries weren't bad. I liked the cheesiness of it.
