Today was sadly not a good experience..we ordered 2 of the #1s and 1 #3 in the drive thru about 10 minutes before 4 o clock and we got home and opened the bag to only 3 servings of fries. No burgers. In-N-Out is at the pinnacle of the burger game! The place is always crowded and noisy, but for good reason: they serve the best burgers and fries - and with a smile! For my half dozen visits or so, the food has always been "just made" and delicious. The help is always friendly and happy to serve. I enjoy knowing my burger is cooked to order and not stored under some heat lamp. And it's good to know that the fries were still a potato not long ago. I don't often have a burger due to my dietary restrictions, but when I do, In-N-Out has become my one and only burger stop. There's a reason the help is friendly and helpful: they start them out at a minimum of $10.50 per hour. As my group and I pulled into the last In-N-Out, pre-Yosemite, we made sure to eat all the burger-centric, sauce-laden, fry-topped goodness we could possibly fit into our stomachs. "Those are good burgers." I've watched "The Big Lebowski" approximately a billion times so this was something of a religious experience for me. They were good burgers, and made even better by 'animal style,' but I would hardly put these up to the level of Five Guys of the east coast or Culvers of the midwest. The beef just wasn't the same quality, but they are definitely 'good.' The fries seem to be better without animal style as it almost overwhelms what are genuinely good fries. I never went in one that had a different layout, wasn't packed, or didn't have friendly staff. Pretty great, and I can see why Donny was so emphatically in their corner. Had an excellent experience at In and Out Burger today. Food was yummy as usual. Staff was friendly. Vincent came to our table and asked us if we would like a refill on our drink. He got us a refill. When my husband was going to empty the trash, Vincent said I'll take that for you Sir and he emptied it. Vincent was busing tables and taking dirty trays from the table. After years of hearing so much about the much beloved west coast burger chain I finally got to see what everyone is talking about. I have to say that in terms of their menu, prices, and service I am very impressed but in terms of the food I think the hype was just too much. For those In-n-Out burger virgins let me give you the low down on the chain. Their menu is tiny: cheeseburger, hamburger, double double (double cheeseburger), fries, small/medium/large soda, chocolate/vanilla/strawberry milkshake. That's it folks, outside of a few burger topping choices (which aren't listed) that's the entire menu. Prices are tiny as well with everything being $1-3. The cleanliness of the place and the service is impeccable and from what I've been told numerous times, this is the case at nearly every In-n-Out location. Don't confuse this chain with places like McDonalds because it's not in the same ball park, they just feel like a place that only has a handful of locations, they don't rush and they seem to genuinely smile when talking to you. They also cut their own french fries by hand everyday and their burgers seemed fresh. In terms of food I found everything pretty average. I'd say everything is ok but nothing really to rave about, the fries and shake were average and the burgers are thin and run of the mill. Certainly better than the giant fast food chains but not as good as Five Guys, or any sort of table service type of chain restaurant. Overall I would rave about In-n-Out but I wouldn't perpetuate any of the hype over their food. read more

Tasty burgers from a California original. This one located in the famous city of lard. These burgers are better than Five guys burgers because it is not nearly as greasy. Always better then the bigger chains selling outdated burger styles. Good french fries as well. Parking can be a bit of an effort during busy times (which is all the time at In-N-Out). This location is crammed inside of a small strip mall near the freeway. Seating is always at a premium, of course this is by design. Cost is inexpensive. Quality is good. read more

Really, I'm just bitter because this wasn't here when I was going to MHS 10 years ago. Sure, Manteca blew up after I left but it's still not fair. In college, my friends and I had to drive about an hour to the closest In-N-Out. Yet when I came home to visit my parents, there's one right by Target. It's your average In-N-Out, though a lot less crowded than others I'd been too. Still, most of the people I saw in there on a Thursday evening seemed to be travellers. In-N-Out is easily the best fastfood burger that I've ever had. For awhile I struggled with deciding who made a better burger: In-N-Out or Five Guys. After much soul seaching and my most recent encounter, the winnder goes to In-N-Out. I appreciate the fresh ingredients but what makes In-N-Out even better is the fact that the burgers are not greasy (despite getting it animal style) and I don't end up hating myself after eating there. This In-N-Out location is always busy and super crowded. I have to give them huge kudos for being so attentive, professional & courteous. Jenna the manager was overseeing everyone's orders and if she saw anyone waiting too long, she was on top of checking the status of their order. Our order was overlooked and she apologized, conducted herself in such a professional and graceful manner while training another employee. She was extremely quick, corrected our order and offered us a gift card as an apology for our order being overseen. It was no big deal, but her amazing customer service really stood out from all the other In N Out locations we've been to. Always great food at the Manteca location, however they really went above and beyond. Our 3 year old dropped her burger and we went to order a new one expecting to pay, but when we explained to them what happened they asked the person in charge I if they could give us one on the house. Totally not what we were expecting, we expected to buy new one but they were kind enough to replace it for free. Further more, they came by to give our two kids some neat hats and stickers. I generally don't like in-n-out burger for political reasons but I can say they have pretty good extremely basic burgers, tonight I came in on a whim via the drive thru almost before closing and was quite disappointed as the food took longer than when they are packed with people and my burger meat was rather pink also I had to pay for my friends meal because in-n-out cannot accept bills larger than 20 dollars after 10pm which is a complete joke I understand midnight or if it was in a bad area but come on in-n-out step your game up! read more

Just another In and Out but I found the service really great. The guy who took our order was relatable and poppin' jokes with us. The other staff was also very accommodating when our order was incorrect. I will say though, my "extra crispy" animal style fries (which in my mind is always the way to go) were not was crispy as I have had in other places. So that was a little disappointing. I also got a cheeseburger with a whole grilled onion and really enjoyed it. Apparently they have lots of different ways they can do the onions!
