I don't know what TF was I thinking 5 years ago when I gave in-n-out a 3 star review. Can't go wrong with in-n-out.

Probably my least favorite In-N-Out location. From the cashier who looked the least bit interested in being there to the staff, the service was questionable. To start, Hubs and I ordered 2 number 1s protein style. When we got our order, our cheeseburgers only had 1 patty. I went back to the counter to ask for 2 extra patties, not even needing them to re-do our meal. The employee that attempted to help me went back to the griller and then the manager but they told me they couldn't just give me two patties and would have to re-do the whole order again. They mentioned giving me additional meat patties would take as much time as it would to remake the meal. I didn't have time to wait for the order to remake it. They refused to give me the cost difference of a double double and a regular cheeseburger (what we essentially got). My rating is 100% about the service and not the quality of the food. In-and-out always tastes amazing- unfortunately their staff at this location didn't match their food quality. I've gone to so many different locations and I have to say this location has been the worst. read more

I am so impressed with In-N-Out as a whole. The food is cheap, filling, and delicious. This particular one has super friendly staff as well. We came during the Saturday dinner rush and even though there were a lot of people waiting, the line moved fast and we were able to get our food fairly quickly. The tables are also very clean and are wiped down often. I honestly can't believe how much food you can get for your buck. We each got the animal style cheeseburger with extra everything ($2.35), which is part of their secret menu. The animal style burger adds grilled onions, pickles, and a sauce made up of mayo, ketchup, and pickle relish. It's delicious and adds a lot of flavor to the regular cheeseburger. Extra everything gives additional lettuce, tomato, and onion for no extra cost. I swear my burger was literally bursting with toppings and I had 3 slices of tomatoes in there. We also shared a shake (half vanilla and half chocolate) ($2.15). The shake is amazingly good. It is super thick and we ended up scooping it out with the straw because it was too viscous. Great in n out location with a large amount of parking spots and relatively clean area! Food: I got the hamburger to go and it tastes pretty much like any other in n out restaurant if you have been to one but for those that haven't tried it, you're definitely missing out. In n out hamburgers all taste super fresh with a thousand island like sauce and the meat isn't frozen like other burger joints and they always fill you up completely. I highly recommend the animal fries if you haven't tried it before!! One thing I wanted to do while I was out in California was to hit an In-N-Out Burger and to try their burger and fries "Animal Style." I've had In-N-Out before, but didn't hear about this special menu option till after! Their menu is quite short: Burgers - Double Double $3.40; Cheeseburger with onion $2.35; Hamburger with onion $2.05 Fries - $1.60 Drinks - Soda $1.45/$1.60/$1.80/$2; Shakes (Chocolate, Strawberry, Vanilla) $2.10; Milk 99 cents, Coffee $1.35. How do they keep their prices so low??? For $12.62, I fed two adults and a toddler! Onions come raw, grilled chopped, or grilled slice. Grilled slice? Nice! The chocolate shake was nice and thick and tasty. If there was an In-N-Out near home, my waistline would be in serious trouble! The fries underneath the Animal Style topping was a bit soft, but I wasn't sure if that was the fault of the cheese sauce or the light fry job. But both the Animal style burger and the cheeseburger with the grilled onion slice were good, though my vote leans towards the cheeseburger. In fact, it was a better burger than my recent Shake Shack experience. Service was good too. My cashier was cool with this In-N-Out relative newbie in explaining the possibilities, though it also probably helped that we had arrived before the lunch rush. DISCLAIMER: As a born and raised Texan, I've never really understood the love that Cali has for In-N-Out--my heart will always belong to Whataburger. That being said, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that there's a bit more variety than is shown on the menu. I ordered fries "animal style", which meant that the fries were topped with nacho cheese, special sauce, and grilled onions. I received a fairly decent portion size for the cost. The taste of the fries was satisfying enough (I do really enjoy their special sauce) but I still feel like nothing really distinguishes them from other fast food chains in terms of quality. Was it worth it? Yes. Would I come here again? Debatable. read more

It's the best burgers and fries in the USA, one can't find better, my favourite is the animal style.

Just passing thru this area with my boo boo. We could not handle our hunger any longer so we went through the drive thru. As usual, all In-N-Out Burger places are always packed. But thank goodness the traffic going through the drive thru went by pretty smoothly. We ordered two combo #1. If I could give 0 stars I would. Went to the drive through with a few cars ahead about an hour ago. When we finally get to the mic to order our food they tell us it's cash only. At this point there are several cars behind us so we can't back out and there are several cars ahead of us. We had to wait another 20 minutes just to leave. When we got to the window and asked to speak to the manager regarding this, they apologize and acknowledged that there should be someone out there YET no one was out there informing customers they were only taking cash only. Poor management and lack of customer service that falls short of In-n-Out standards. This has to be the worst location and will never go back here again. read more

Great location off the freeway. I come here often when I am driving off the 101 and want a quick bite to eat. I came here the other day with a visitor from the East Coast and had to stop by. We arrived around 1pm on a Tuesday. Place was crowded and drive thru at a decent length (typically what you expect during lunch time). The indoor line moved quickly and the cashier was very friendly. We ordered a grilled cheese animal style and two cheeseburgers grilled onion. One animal fry and one regular fry. I am only giving 4 stars because they forgot to add a fork with our animal fry. I always make the effort to stop at an In-N-Out when traveling to Ca. On this occasion, my burger was five stars but the fries were zero stars hence my middle of the road three star rating. I popped in off the 101 around 11am. Coming from the East Coast, I was starving and mostly had the place to myself. Service was spot on and I was able to quickly order my burger, fries and shake. My burger was well prepared, hot and fresh. The added grilled onions were tasty and made it perfect. The fries looked good but were cold and rubbery. I've never been a fan of their fries but these seemed worse than usual. I almost went back up to the counter to let them know but thought again about not really needing to eat these extra calories. After a quick trip to Costco with my boss during our lunch break, we needed a satisfying bite to power us through the rest of the scorchingly hot day. Luckily there was an In-N-Out across the street which caught our eye, and being big burger fans, it was the obvious choice. I ordered a double-double with fries, which of course is a handful of awesome and I loved every bite of the animal style goodness. This is one of my favorite places to lunch, anywhere and I wish I could make myself by going here every day. They've got quite a few tables outside which welcome your dog, especially on a sunny day like this one. However, beware of the flying rats (pigeons) out there who aren't afraid to approach and steal your food. The parking lot is a disaster during the lunch hour rush and people tend to park like full blown a-holes. Service was quick and friendly though I might try an In-N-Out without the birds next time. Another solid entry in In-N-Out's lineup of excellent burger locations. I managed to stop by this location for a late lunch while in Mountain View and was pleased to see it is yet another great location showcasing In-N-Out's remarkable ability to make unbelievably good burgers consistently across different locations throughout California. As always, there was a long line both in the drive-through and inside, but it was not unmanageable and even seemed a little shorter than usual. I went inside and the line moved pretty well. I had my lunch in about 20 minutes and found an empty table outside to sit down and enjoy. The staff was great and my burger, as I have come to expect, was fresh and delicious, with a soft buttery bun and crispy vegetables. This location of In-N-Out is as good as any that I've tried, and I'd highly recommend stopping by here anytime you're craving a burger. read more

We typically go to the one on Grant and El Camino Real. Last night we were close to this location and decided to go through drive thru. For some reason it took much longer to get our food. In fact, the vehicle 2 spots ahead of us had a wait time of 7 plus minutes! On top of that, our grilled cheese sandwich was a bit lacking as the cheese was not thoroughly melted. Came here on a recent Saturday outing as Co- facilitator to feed 10 hungry and eager people. The service here I thought was great and exceeded my expectations as our group took forever to order and held up the line during lunch hour rush. No one said anything, so need to apologize from the heart. OOPS! That patient factor give's INO a one up star! I usually don't eat out at a Burger Joint's let alone INO, I have not been to one seems like MANY moons/years ago. Probably Sunnyvale. I really liked how our order was repeated to us for accuracy by the cashier, great again! We waited under ten minutes to get our order and feast. I also like how they call out the orders by intercom, they must be used to this because no one but our group seemed to be paying attention to their order. This is definitely a popular hangout spot in the bay area to eat because there is a lot of foot traffic to show for it. I got a cheeseburger, soda and fries with all the regular fix'ins for my order. Overall I was satisfied with the make up and cook of the meat, it didn't fall apart or taste fake or anything like that.
