2nd time to in and out in my life and I will say I'm super impressed with the friendliness of the staff. They quickly wiped down tables and greeted people entering and exiting the establishment. Idk if that's normal but I loved it. The food was good but I will say that the condiments I asked for on the burger - mustard and ketchup - were copious and so I kinda lost the flavor of the burger. I love having the choice of a delicious In--N-Out available here in Rockwall. They're ALWAYS very tasty. They have fresh, preservative free lettuce, tomatoes and onions and a soft inside, toasted-crispy-outside bun. They are generous with good quality LTO. Yummmm. I loathe tasting and smelling preservatives on fast food and the bitter taste of old oil on fries. I've been to this In-N-Out at least 40 times and have never had a single bite or taste or smell of anything negative. I like the Cheeseburger all the way, extra onion but my bulldog gets the Double Double with tomato and sauce only. Yes, you can afford to get a healthy burger for your dog here! While in town for the Winter Classic, I stopped for some of my favorite food. Formerly of So Cal, I don't get this very often anymore in Nashville. I'm glad we stopped. All the food was exactly as I remembered. The hidden menu was there as well. I liked the upgraded plastic trays rather than paper. Even the Bible verses were still there. Customer service was great as well. The only new thing, to me, was the sweet tea. But if that's the price of Eastward expansion then I'll happily pay. read more

The only thing it's missing are the two classic palms growing in the shape of an X in front of the restaurant. If you're new to In N Out, try your burger Animal Style, which will come grilled in mustard, with grilled onions and pickles. Or grab an Animal Style fry (the trick is to eat these BEFORE your burger, and you won't be disappointed.) If a Double Double isn't enough patties for you, you can get up to four patties in their 4x4. And of course if your watching those carbs, or looking for a gluten-free option, get your burger protein style. read more

The wait time is ridiculous. 25 to 30 minutes on a single burger. If I wanted to wait that long I would have ordered McDonald's. I understand about fresh food but when you have somebody that's by themselves with a single burger. And you have a family of seven that's in front of them you. The building was situated right off I-30. It was only a few minutes off of the interstate. Before entering the building, you are greeted by a cactus display, which is something that you don't see as often in Kentucky, where I'm from. The building was very clean inside and out. The staff was extremely polite. I did ask for mayonnaise. I may have misunderstood but it sounded like they didn't have mayonnaise which could be something to do with the chain because I wouldn't know. The menu was very slim, considering that they specialize only in burgers. I ordered the double double cheeseburger and an order of fries. My total was only between $6-7. It is very inexpensive and would be a reasonable stop for a family for children. I waited about 5-7 minutes for my food to arrive. It was served on a red tray wrapped in two separate pieces of paper. The presentation of the food was very nice. The hamburger was awesome. It wasn't too greasy. The packaging and construction of the burger was very neat and clean. There were two thick slices of cheese on the sandwich as well. The fries were average compared to most. They were definitely good but I feel not quite good enough to compliment the burger itself. My friends also bought milkshakes of each flavor. They all liked them but considered them a bit thick, like a Wendy's frosty. I would recommend stopping at this In N Out if you haven't had it before. Stopped on the way to Dallas. Was busy at 1 pm. It was quick and painless. Now the bad part. The fries were really cold, the burger meat was dry and was like warm. This place used to be great, but I feel it has gone down hill the last few times we have been there. The bread does not taste fresh, and the meat has been salty. The last time I ordered cheese fries, the cheese was not melted on the fries. Also, the last few times we have been there, it has been hard to find a clean table. Boots still reigns supreme in burgers for me, but its hard for me to get there but once a month (I work 40mi away), In N Out will now be a staple for me along with my beloved Taco Casa. F!CK McD's (except the McRib OMFGWTFBBQ!) and anywhere else. It's In N Out for me when I'm near the casa. If you are reading this, you've likely already eaten at one or are planning on it. First off I will say I am not a burger lover, but I will try a new restaurant upon recommendation. My nephew tired this spot in Cali, he swear it was legit. So, I told him I'd give it a try here in Texas. BAD IDEA...LAWDDD Pricing was reasonable $8ish, for a double, fries and shake. My wait in the drive thru was minimal 5-6 minutes tops. Friendly staff with upbeat attitudes. However the taste of the food didn't thrill me to say the least. Fries: They didn't taste like real potatoes. I knew they were fresh out the oil, yet there wasn't a crisp when I bite into them. Plus the inside of the fry seemed artificial tasting. As if it was factory generated instead of farm grown. (If that makes sense) Shake: Wasn't real strawberry ice cream, tasted more like strawberry drink mix that was thickened. Burger: It was a McDouble with garnishs(LTO) with two extremely thin patties. I'm not a huge burger eater but when I'm in the mood for a fast burger, In & Out satisfies my craving. Their burgers are fresh and juicy and I love them! Their fries are not as good as Chick-fil-a's or McDonald's (I don't eat at McDonald's but I recall they had really great fries). Anyhow, the fries at In & Out are good but not to die for. I can say that I have always had great service and interacted with friendly employees at this location. I know they take pride in hiring quality individuals but my last trip really pissed me off. I was in a huge time crunch and needed to place my order and get home quickly and when I placed my order at the box, I told the girl exactly what I wanted and said "that's it". She repeated back my order and I confirmed that's what I wanted and then she added, "Are you sure you don't want a drink with that?" I paused incredulous that she would have the audacity/stupidity to ask me that. I wanted to say, "Look, if I wanted a drink, don't you think I would've ordered it?". I have NEVER had anyone question whether I wanted to reconsider ordering something that I didn't ask for to begin with and I don't expect my choices to be brought into question when I go to an IN & Out - I just expect them to take my order and thank me for my business. I was so over that ding dong that I just drove off to the pay window and didn't even wait for her to ask whether I wanted to eat in the car or have it packed to go. Had I not been pressed for time I would've brought it to the attention of a manager. You'd think they work on commission or something. Me and some friends have been road tripping for a hobby of ours. We wanted to try a new restaurant we've never had so we came to the first In-N-Out we saw. It was in a little shopping center next to some other noticeable joints. We had heard good things from shows, movies, social media, etc. but goodness. We were not disappointed. The service was awesome, friendly, fast, and thorough. I waited roughly 3-5 minutes for my food. I ordered a cheeseburger, no onions, fries, and a regular drink. The burger was presented well, wasn't messy, had good proportions with the toppings and whatnot. The taste though, now that was something. It was easily one of the 3 best fast food burgers I've ever had, dare I say a contender for the top spot. The "special" sauce was extremely complimentary to the taste, and it wasn't a super greasy burger either. The fries were your typical burger joint fries, classic and slightly (and I mean slightly) above average. After the meal we ordered some shakes. I got a strawberry shake and it was pretty damn good. Wasn't anything to write home about but I couldn't complain. In-N-Out was definitely a great stop. Employees were awesome, atmosphere was nostalgic, and the food was great.
