I love this places Pisco Sours! They've also got a ceviche app that could function as a full meal as well. They've got a bunch of TV's lining the bar and a large projector screen playing Latin music adding to the decor giving it a really cool vibe all together. The parking situation during lunch time by the metro is key here and there are a lot of parking garages and some street parking for later in the day. I found Inca Social on my way to work one day and asked my Peruvian boyfriend and his parents if they would like to try this restaurant. My boyfriend and his dad are very hard to impress when it comes to food, especially Peruvian food. We went on Saturday evening and got outdoor seating, as requested. From start to finish it was a great experience. We started with the Inca balls (delish) and the ceviche sampler with fish, (but you can mix and match, I believe with shrimp and/or octopus - but we just wanted the fish). I'm not the biggest fan of ceviche in general, but their ceviche was very clean, very fresh, and very delicious. We liked all three flavors, but the original was the best. We ordered pisco sours as our beverages, and they were so light, yummy, and fluffy...just be careful because the alcohol can sneak up on you. The bartender added a nice touch with the llama picture in the drink. The waiter was attentive and very nice. He recommended to me the steak lomo saltado (versus the chicken, shrimp, or veggie). My boyfriends dad also got the steak lomo saltado. My boyfriend got the chicken Chaufa and his mom got the beef ribs. The food was so good. The steak was cooked to perfection. My boyfriends mom's ribs were so tender it fell apart with ease with her fork. The chaufa was well seasoned and felt light, even though it's a rice dish. The staff was amazing and wait time was very smooth between drinks, Apis, and entrees. We will be coming back!!!! read more

We arrived around 3:30pm and the restaurant had maybe 4 tables that were occupied and the first thing we were asked is if we had a reservation, no smile, no greeting and not in the friendliest tone. (We were only 3). He then started rearranging the menus prior to seating us. Very very unwelcoming. The meat in the lomo saltado was over cooked and the portion was smaller than we get at other establishments.. The rice was delicious. Being that the restaurant was almost empty we waited way to long for our check. We will likely not go back, way too many other delicious Peruvian restaurants in the area.... But please note, if your restaurant is practically empty don't ask your customers if they have a reservation, especially during that time of day. It was obnoxious. read more

This place is a treasure for anyone looking for authentic Latin American food and good vibes! I tried the causa today and it was INCREDIBLE! They are fluffy potato pancakes served cold with a delicious mix of either chicken, seafood, or beets served on top...I've never had anything like it before but they were so tasty. Inca's also great for ceviche lovers because they have all types of ceviches, including a pineapple ceviche served during brunch. I tried the mixto and the ceviche tacos today and they were so delicious. It's also perfect for anyone who appreciates craft beer and great drinks. I love discovering new beers at this place! Came here for happy hour once before but actually wanted to get dinner this time. We got seated about 10 minutes before happy hour was over so we thought it would be perfect get a beer at happy price, maybe an app or two and then get some entrees. Well our server came out after about 5 minutes and then filibustered about their "new" menu items of which only one thing was changing, for exactly 5 minutes until the end of happy hour. She didn't even take our drink or food orders, she knew what she was doing. I'm not one to let something annoying ruin my night so we stayed and ordered appetizers and drinks. The tequeños were pretty underwhelming, the real redeeming part was the jalapeño dipping sauce. The ceviche was amazing, great quality fish, good portion size, and delicious. Ultimately not bad, but the whole ordeal took a little over an hour and we only had two beers a piece and 2 appetizers, way too long; combined with getting talked out of happy hour, not very impressive. read more

The chicharrón was tasty and crunchy and the papas gave a different twist to serving fries. For dinner I ordered the lomo saltado with steak. The steak was a good size and tender accompanied by some potatoes. I would have appreciated a little bit more of the sides - there were maybe 5 pieces of potato. Other than that, the steak was cooked well and was flavorful. I'm addition, I had two pisco sours - it was that good. Overall, I enjoyed Inca Social and would come back. Really had a bad experience today while trying to have a great meal at brunch. Believe it or not had to send the steak twice back because they were not able to cook it medium rare but rare to well done. Such a simple task that seemed very hard to accomplish today. Waitress was very slow on service since drinks never came to the table until I ask someone about it 25 minutes later. Manager seemed not too sure how to handle the situation and felt very insecure and helpless. Maybe He's new or not too experienced. Really a shame since it used to be a good place and I guess with this poor managing and recovery of mistakes, they just lost 3 clients. All he could do was to apologize. Then once I complaint second time about the wrong steak temperature AGAIN he decided to give me 50 Percent discount on that particular dish. Went here with a friend of ours on a Friday night maybe a month-ish ago. Enjoyed our drinks and they had live music later in the night. The food is good with a more narrow and honed in menu. Parking isn't bad (free garage with 2 hour parking, some street parking). Had some great drinks and a good time. Great waitress and was glad they took reservations. I found INCA Social by complete chance when I was searching for a place to celebrate my husband's birthday. The criteria wasn't simple: a spot in N. VA with ample parking where we could dine and dance the night away to a good mix of Latin music. Oh and no entry cover. I tell ya - not an easy task. And then I came across an Eventbrite announcement for a Latin dance party at INCA Social. A few minutes later, I was on the phone with a lovely woman who confirmed that INCA Social was pretty much everything I wanted for hub's pre-birthday celebration, and then some. On the big night, we showed up with 13 of our closest friends and had the time of our lives. We were seated at a high-top table by the bar, a casual setting that was perfect for our group, albeit a bit chaotic as we shared the space with another large party. Appetizers were ordered for for the table - tequenos (think taquitos made with queso fresco and wrapped in a fried wonton wrap); inca balls (you can have them with cheese or beef; we opted for cheese); beef empanadas; and calamari. My favorites were the empanadas, served hot and bursting (literally) with incredible flavor. My least favorite was the calamari, which was dry and tasteless. In hindsight we should have gone with the ceviche sampler - after all, it is a Peruvian restaurant. I was also blown away by a Lomo Saltado that a friend ordered. For dessert, the waitstaff surprised my husband with a complimentary flourless chocolate cupcake topped with vanilla ice cream and a birthday candle, served on a large plate with the words "Happy Birthday" drawn in powdered sugar. The rest of the table feasted on churros served warm with a Nutella dipping sauce that were absolutely delicious. At 10pm, the tables in the main room were cleared to reveal the dance floor and the party started, with the DJ spinning a variety of classic Salsa, Merengue and Bachata favorites. It was an excellent time! The experience wasn't a perfect 10 (or 5, in this case) because I got the distinct impression that someone forgot our reservation: 1) we didn't have a dedicated waiter (and this despite having made the reservation more than one week in advance), requiring us to order our drinks at the bar and waiting quite a while to place our food orders; and 2) we were seated at a table of 13 instead of the 15 I'd originally requested. What mended everything was the service we received from the two hostesses, and one of them in particular - a brunette whose name I am kicking myself for not getting. When I approached her about waiting a long time for someone to place our orders, she took out a pad of paper and pen and, with a smile, took my orders on the spot. She then summoned one of the bartenders to take our growing group's drink orders without us having to make a dash for the bar. She also placed the order for my husband's birthday cake, and brought it out just before the kitchen closed at 10. She absolutely rocked! All in all, it was a great night and my friends were impressed with INCA Social. I'll be happy to return for a proper sit-down dinner...and dancing afterwards :) read more

The ceviche was spot on and the "tiger's milk" was super tasty. The entrees were little less than spectacular, meat was slightly overdone and it wasn't as flavorful or balanced as other Peruvian restaurants. My significant other and I dined opening night last Friday 2 February at INCA Social. I expected the food to be crafted to fit main line American tastes and to encourage purchases of alcoholic beverages. There was a very voluminous offering of craft beers, ales and cider listed on a separate menu. First the service style of the waiters and waitresses was wonderful. They were attentive, sensitive to the diners needs, open with their increased serve time from order to delivery and responsive when I made a request to remove a food item from the bill. The Ceviche was excellent we ordered the traditional and lightly fried shrimp versions. The Lomo Saltado beef had a pungent "pot fragrance" that enlivened my senses. The rise was soft warm and flavorful with an earthy aroma. This is were the culinary artistry ended. INCA Social choose to serve "steak fries" as their main and only potato. This renders in my opinion their food in the category of "cheap bar food". I find this incomprehensible matching steak fries with a cuisine from a part of the world where the potato originates. Please don't' serve this nonsense. Take the extra staff time and prepare potatoes that compliment the culture. I could suggest a menu make over. Remove one or both of the spaghetti dishes as these are a weak representation of Peruvian cuisine and substitute Papas a la Huancaina I heard from another diner seated next to us on the long beer hall social tables that the Aji de Gallina was colored pink instead of yellow. To the uninitiated this maybe an artistic color to the peruvian food purists this is an off putting color. The pisco sour had a generous addition of pisco but was slapped together in a manner that did not demonstrate any care or artistry from the barista. Please this is a signature mixed drink that defines peruvian food culture. I ordered a pork chicharron and received a chicken chicharron. This I asked to have taken off of my bill instead of waiting an indeterminate amount of time for a pork replacement. We initially ordered churros and was informed by the waiter that they were out of churros. We ordered another dessert to go that was a modification of tres leches. Awesome Peruvian joint in a shopping center. We had a very nice and attentive waiter, who was very enthusiastic to show us new menu additions as well as their large beer list. We all enjoyed the meals we got, some more authentic than others, but overall still very enjoyable. I really enjoyed my meal, I just cannot remember what it was called. It was a really well seasoned steak with a delicious sauce, rice and fries. My friend also enjoyed her chicken ahi very much. Ambiance is very nice. Service was very attentive. We ordered the regular ceviche, very tasty! The Peruvian style wings even had my "I hate wings" husband licking his fingers. Sasha was a great and attentive waitress. For our main courses we had lomo saltado and the veggie saltado with grilled chicken. They tasted very good but I thought for what I got $21 was steep. Granted I just had it with quinoa and no fries but for a chicken dish with a few vegetables I felt overcharged. Especially because there were just a few pieces of chicken. I love every detail that they put in this place. Anyways, we ordered some cocktails (Chicha Rum) very different, but so good!!! After that, we ordered some apps. (tequeños and yuca a la huancaina) both were great. It took a little bit for our main entrees to come out but we didn't mind. We ordered the lomo Saltado, bistec a lo pobre, and arroz con pollo. The Lomo saltado was good and flavorful. The bistec a lo pobre was also good but it's usually served with plantains instead of the salsa criolla which I found odd, but still good. The arroz con pollo was definitely very different and especially not a Peruvian style taste. The arroz had way too much seasoning and cilantro taste to it and the chicken was not mixed in like it an authentic Peruvian arroz con pollo should be. It was on the side instead. I would suggest improving on your arroz con pollo plate and to take a hint from other Peruvian restaurant's. Anyways, I gave this place 4 stars because my friend new one of the owners and he was very nice and kind to us. He even gave me a free flan because of my birthday. I appreciated that a lot. I had Arroz Tapado. Basically, rice, egg, and hamburger. The menu says it contains vegetables. I couldn't find them. I asked the waiter to help me find them and was told they were chopped up and mixed in. The waiter pointed out a possible pea. Was a little disappointing. The menu made it sound good. I've never had Peruvian food before, but I'm pretty sure I won't be going back. If you need reading glasses don't forget to bring them. The print on the menu was so small.
