I love this place! My favorite dish is the lamb saag (saag gosht). I also really like the chicken tikka masala. The lunch buffet is excellent for trying a variety of dishes. My friend introduced me to this restaurant five years ago and I have been going back at least once a month ever since. If you go for lunch, they have a tasty buffet, with a lot of options. The prices is a tad high, but the service makes up for it...your glass will never be empty. For dinner, make sure you start with the veggie samosas. They will change the way you think about veggies. India Palace well deserves its five-star rating. You can't get a bad meal there--they are consistently good. It has a very soothing and relaxing atmosphere, which feels especially good on a hot Tulsa day. They are crawling with people to be sure you have enough water, so service is pretty good. I've been eating there ever since they opened and have had an excellent meal every single time. It is a lovely place to bring out-of-towners to blow them away with Tulsa's exceptional restaurants. We got takeout. While we waited, they offered us a seat and water. The food was so well packed with plastic wrap to contain any curry spillage. Everything was still hot and fresh 45 minutes later. The food is always fresh and the taste is consistent. The service is outstanding and friendly. This is a family favorite. Some of us like spicy while my children do not and the menu accommodates each taste. The Chicken Biryani, Keemun Matar, and Chicken and Beef Korma are always delicious. The Bhindi Masala is to die for! We order the pakora and samosas for appetizers. And finish with their rice pudding and mango lassi's. I'm giving it a 3.75 stars. The food is very tasty. The naan bread is the best. The ambiance is nice and romantic. But I find it annoying when the waiters are trying to be "too nice" they refill your water without even asking you if you want more, for example I would drink 1/4 of the glass and here I see a waiter filling it up again and again so it would be full. It's like can I just sit and enjoy my food.? I have been going here for years but that's the only part we don't like. And it's not only my complaint, but my friends' as well. I'm not from Tulsa, and I was pleasantly surprised to find this type of restaurant in an area where burger joints reign supreme. The entrance is almost hidden despite the large above it. They have no windows so don't bother looking for people next to a window enjoying a bowl of curry. The menu has the typical Indian dishes ranging from briyani to curry; including meats ranging from chicken to lamb. I tried the lamb curry and my friend ordered the "hot" chicken tika massala. We both ordered regular naan bread with our orders. The chicken tika massala was similar to butter chicken but with a few extra spices and it was much spicier (my friend's mouth was burning so bad he had to order milk!). The lamb curry was excellent and the lamb itself was very tender and not chewy at all. The second time I visited I was joining some colleagues and had already purchased a burger from nearby... Surprisingly the waiting staff insisted I come in and join my friends! The third time I visited with a group of 18, and the waiters had trouble keeping track of the orders and we ended up missing some naan and rice, but they handled the large group pretty well. I would definitely recommend this restaurant especially of you're looking for Indian food in the Tulsa area! read more

We discovered this gem four years ago and always come here for dinner when we are in Tulsa. Service is excellent. Our favorite is the Chicken Do Piazza, a flavorful chicken dish with onions. The sauce is so delicious. We also had the shrimp curry on this trip. It was almost a sweet curry - much different than what we get in California. And, of course, no Indian meal is complete without naan. We had the plain naan and it was cooked perfectly. Be sure to have the chai tea. Simply delicious food with great service! read more

Outstanding food with a complexity I can't quite explain. A welcome and comfortable evening with my wife, who also loves these flavors, and we both agree it is among the best we've had in samplings from NYC to SF. Atmosphere is more subdued than many, but with enough of the typical decorations to be reassuring. Staff cared enough to genuinely inquisitive regarding our approval, as opposed to "How's everything tasting?" rote enquiries from the uninvolved. This place is dedicated to food and your enjoyment of it without making that the obvious point. We'd go here again tomorrow if we could. read more

Gag! If you are not from Tulsa (like me) and looking for some authentic, non-Midwesternized version of Indian food, this is not the place. On a scale of 1-10, they get a 3. Very good, very friendly. The owner always remembers you. Being of british origin (where indian food is pretty well the standard diet along with Fish and chips / pub meals!) this is very good and much better value. The naan is as good as anywhere - VERY GOOD. Most dishes are above average standard and for me dinner is the way to go not lunch Buffet. I like hot and choose typically lamb dishes such as vindaloos jalfrezi, rogan josh etc, but tell them you want it spiced properly if you like it hot as they seem to down play the spices to suit the american pallet I guess. I have seen much better Buffets in the states than here, that being, said if you like the standards (Biriani / Tikka masala etc) the buffet is fine. A lot of Brits and Indian folk eat here so that says a lot for the quality. read more

Great food, buffet or menu, sometimes I order buffet and menu. This is the best in the Tulsa area and a favorite place to meet friends. My friends joke that if I don't come in here at least once a month they probably put my face on a milk carton. It's becomes a favorite for everyone I've shared it with.
