I broke off part of a tooth while here on an extended vacation. I knew it would need a crown and did not want to wait til I got home and then wait for the lab to make the crown. So went to see Dr. Tran at Indio Modern dentistry. Wow, I was so thrilled that was able to get new crown that day. Yes it took a little while to get he X-rays, exam and talk about the cost, but so worth it. Loved watching my tooth being made (in 12 minutes)and everything explained to me. The new technology is so fantastic. I can now smile and not worry about my broken off tooth showing. I will be back whenever I am in The valley. I felt bad, kind of like I was "cheating" on my regular dentist, but so glad I did. read more

Today was my first day at this new office after being referred by a friend. I had my check up and cleaning, I avoid the dentist at all costs but Dr. Tran made me feel comfortable and like he was going to make sure I very well taken care of. He let me know I was going to need my wisdom teeth taken out and of course that's always scary to hear you need teeth taken out, but he was very thorough and didn't make me feel as if he was pushing me into treatment. We are traveling out west from Florida. While visiting friends in the Reno area, my partial denture broke. This happened on a Thursday morning. Knowing it would take a few days to have a new one made, I decided to wait until we got to Indio, CA, our next stop, to visit my wife's sister. We contacted her sister and asked about a dental clinic in her area. She recommended Indio Modern Dentistry. I contacted them on Friday, explained my situation and the set me up an appointment for first thing Monday morning. I arrived early, fortunately, as I got to meet Dr. Tran when he arrived. We chatted a bit about my situation and our schedule of travel, and he immediately set me up with Dr. Alyssa Dewenter. They took x-rays and made impressions, checked with the lab (an hour away in Pomona), and informed me that my new denture would be ready by 1PM in Wednesday. They scheduled me for a 3PM appointment to fit and adjust the new denture so that we could leave the area Thursday morning, as scheduled! Everyone at Indio Modern Dentistry treated me like I had been a patient there forever. They were all so kind to me. If you ever need emergency dental care in the Indio, CA, area, or if you live near Indio, this is THE BEST place to go for whatever you need. They are top-notch! read more

I needed to be scheduled asap as I had lost a crown over the weekend--they were able to get me in immediately. The entire staff I met was friendly, courteous and professional. Dr Tran is exceptional. He is there to greet you & make you feel like you've know him for a long time. He explained everything he was doing in detail, but in a manner that you could easily understand. I had a severe tooth ache over the weekend, so I called my insurance company. They recommended Dr. Tran at Indio Dental Group. They were able to accommodate me in their schedule during my lunch break. Everyone on the team was absolutely wonderful and made my dental experience as pleasant as possible. What had to get done, was a root canal and crown procedure. Dr. Tran was able to get my "hot" tooth to calm down. Janet, the Dental Assistant was very profession and skilled in taking care of this matter. She made my temporary crown fit well. I am petrified of the dentist. After staying away for ten years I finally decided to take care of the painful problem that was my mouth. As a result I have needed several cavities filled as well as 3 root canals. Dr. DeWinter is phenomenal. Like completely deals with my crazy high anxiety and made me feel totally comfortable. Dealing with Jennifer is a dream. I am so used to subpar customer service that that is what I expect now. Jennifer goes above and beyond! I always know what my insurance will cover and what will be a out of pocket expense before anything gets done. This office truly provides patient led care and I can not recommend them enough. I will be going in for regular cleanings now and no longer dread going into their office. I have literally cried to Jennifer and Dr. DeWinter about how scared I am about an upcoming procedure and they completely handled it appropriately and professionally. I am as nervous as most when it comes to visiting a dentist, not to mention a NEW dentist. After a severe abscess and finding out that my dentist retired, I was perplexed in having to seek a new office - especially one which could see me promptly. In my desperation (and pain), I contacted several well-reviewed dental offices, none of which were able to see me same day, or much less even bothered answering calls. After further researching local offices and reading through reviews, fortunately I discovered Indio Modern Dentistry. I was pleased they were able to accommodate me with an afternoon appointment. As it turned out, my abscess was so severe that I was advised to have the tooth extracted that afternoon. It was then when I became very concerned about the cost of the procedure being that I am a college student with many financial obligations and no dental insurance; however, a huge benefit is that their office offers different payment options. Jennifer did an awesome job in helping me understand and select the payment method that works best with my budget. Then, of course with my luck, the extraction was not a simple nor straightforward task due to poor condition and neglect of my teeth. Despite the complications my problem tooth caused, Dr. Tran was able to successfully complete the procedure. As you can see, their office has many 5-star reviews (much like this one) and for a very good reason: their standard of excellence merits it. From the minute I walked in, to the moment I left, I received top-notch service from their kind and courteous staff and Dr. Tran. Thanks to Dr. Tran's exceptional level of care, earnest efforts, and the staff's stellar assistance, I have regained confidence in dentist visits and have a renewed determination in continuing to take proper of my teeth. I've been a patient of Dr.Tran for about a year and I'm very happy to have a truly competent dentist here in the North Indio area. My routine visits for cleaning and xrays are never out of pocket because he accepts the allowances offered by my insurance. The cost for repairing an old partial and creating a new one was very reasonable and the workmanship was outstanding. He and his team appear to be honest and caring about my dental health. His facility is impeccably clean and he has the latest technology for equipment. If you live in the area and are tired of driving to your dentist in Palm Desert or LaQuinta (For me it was at least 30 minutes each way) then give him a try. I followed Dr. Tran from Gateway Dental in Palm Desert to his beautiful new office in Indio. I'm a 68 year old Senior and have had many experiences with Dentists over the years...most very unpleasant. Dr. Tran is excellent. He is able to administer the 'pre-pain/numbing' injection painlessly! The office accepts many types of insurance, with a complete explanation of cost BEFORE the procedure. I was also given a significant discount on the service. Perhaps that was because I praised his dentistry 'talents'. I hope I never have to search for another Dentist. read more

Make an appointment because I had a large filling fall out while I was down here from Oregon. Saw modern dentistry had a 5 star rating and made my decision to go there. The office is less than six months old and clean as can be. I was told he moved their from Palm Desert where his practice had been for 6 years. The young lady at the reception desk greeted me warmly and assisted me in filling out the new patient form. Dr. Tran came out to meet me we went to his office to discuss why I was there and to get a bit of my dental history. From there he did an examination of the took and then took pictures and x-rays than he showed me on the tv screen in the exam room. It was apparent even to me that not only was the filling out and there was decay but I only had a shell of a took to work on. Dr. Tran said what I really needed and could see was obvious is that I needed a root canal and crown. Dr. Tran started the procedure and make sure I was comfortable throughout the procedure. I also received a phone call to check up on how I was doing and was there any pain the following day. I noticed a flyer on the receptionist desk that will give any patient a 20% discount on your bill if you donate a new toy that will go to family is need starting in mid Dec. The receptionist gave me a 10% discount on my bill with me saying I will bring in a toy when I have the permanent crown installed. I could not be happier with the dentist, his staff, and the procedure. read more

I went to see the oral surgeon at the Indio Modern Dentistry and will never return. I had to wait 3 months for a appointment only to be told after I drove 45 minutes to get there they wouldn't do the procedure. I take duladid 3 times daily for severe spine pain which I have been on since 2002 and so I took my normal medication at 6 am instead of 10am knowing my appointment was at 12:30 and I wanted most of it out of my system. I signed all of the forms and then took a 5 mg of zoloft for the very high anxiety I was feeling being at the dentist. The girl came to get me and because pills work super fast on me I was a bit drowsy, they took xrays and sat me in the chair. I had all of my faculties about me (I'm writing this in the car outside) i didn't need help walking, I was holding a conversation without slurring and I knew what was going on around me. They weren't going to gas me or put me to sleep so I should've been fine but no. The dentist dr Nassari walks in and tells me he won't pull the 2 teeth because I took my normal meds at 6 am and the valium after I signed the paperwork. Not one person from that office that I talked to while giving information and confirming my appointment told me not to take my meds, I was even under the impression they were going to gas me and I did not find out otherwise till the day of the appointment. I wonder how many other patients they have treated this way? How many others have waited months because the oral surgeon is only there on the last Friday of the month? I am very upset, I could use other words to make my anger feel better as I'm sitting in traffic but what's the point? Dr Nassari doesn't give a flying fig that I drove so far, or the fact that I've been taking my meds for so long that I function normally. With my pain level I can't go 1 or 2 days with relief. It is clear that no matter how many times I stressed that I had all of my wits about me they did not care. It is sad that I wont be returning, I love the Palm Springs office but the dentist there wanted an oral surgeon to remove my two teeth and I will NEVER EVER return to the Indio office. read more
