Came here on a Friday night with a small group of church members. We had a group of eight. They were able to create two separate checks for us. I ordered the chicken soup that's an appetizer and the Loma Salado as my main dish. I also had their passionfruit juice to drink. The service was great, food came out hot and tasted delicious. This is a little golden gem that you definitely need to try.

I had the pleasure of dining at this small, family-owned Peruvian restaurant yesterday, and it was a gem! The parking lot is behind the restaurant, and the entryway is a bit narrow, so I'd recommend bringing a smaller car if you can. We arrived just as a party of 10 walked in, and the waitress was thoughtful as she suggested we order before they did to make sure we'd get our food in time. We started with the empanadas (beef and spinach) that the waitress recommended, and they did not disappoint. The green sauce they came with has a nice kick. It was spicy but perfectly balanced. So good that I asked for another to go with my meal. They were attentive and friendly. It almost felt like I was eating at their family dinner table. I recommend this spot if you're craving homemade Peruvian food!

Really great Peruvian food! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is clean, spacious, and perfect for bringing the whole family to enjoy amazing food and good conversation.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was excellent, and everything came out fresh and flavorful. Don't forget to save room for dessert, it's worth it!

: ( Again So disappointing ...it's been about 5 years that I have not been at this InkaTrails in Claremont! last time I was here, I wasn't satisfied Today, I was craving for Peruvian food. So I thought I give it another chance... BTW I am Peruvian, and I know how Peruvian Food tastes. - To begin with the Fish ceviche was kind of fishy tasting and locked of flavor. - The pieces of fish needed to be cut thinner not like big chunks. - I don't know if they only use fresh lemons or if they mix some other liquid for the ceviche juice... because the Ceviche juice it was watery and pretty citric not the crispy scent of fresh lemons that you experience at other Peruvian restaurants, - The red Rocoto sauce was runny & watery, same with the green sauce. I've never seen it so watery. - My husband's Lomo Saltado had zero flamed flavor for a "Peruvian Lomo Saltado" flaming the meat as you cook it is a key ingredient for flavor! - The beef was not tender, making it hard to chew & was cut in thin small pieces. - The potato fries were half raw and half cooked, kind of saggy - [[HIGHLIGHT]]No wonder why on a Thursday around 6:30 PM when I walked in the restaurant to pick up my food, the Restaurant was empty there was only one tourist couple the rest of the tables were empty.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Please if you want to eat Peruvian food go somewhere else because Peruvian food is famous for its unique bold taste full of flavor it keeps you craving for more, and is not supposed to taste like this pretty disappointing.

I was craving for Lomo Saltado and Inka Trails showed up on yelp. The restaurant is situated between a gas station and a bigger strip mall complex. The restaurant has its own parking lot in the rear. It was some what hard to find the restaurant since it was hidden between the gas station and the italian restaurant in the bigger complex. The interior has a nice decor. The color of the painted walls were unqiue and suits the interior concept. However, the lomo saltado was disappointing. The beef was small thin strips and wasnt juicy nor as tender as other lomo saltado dishes that i had before. The server forgot to bring the green sauce and I had to ask for it. Speaking of the green sauce, it was watery and not as pungent as other green sauce that i had before. There was no free bread when waiting for your main entree to be served. I didn't order any other dishes, so i cant give an opinion there. If you want lomo saltado, look elsewhere.

I've been coming here on and off for almost 20 years. It used to be the only Peruvian restaurant around this area. There are a few more now, but it's still one of the better ones. They updated their interior over the years and have managed to keep the food quality relatively constant, which is not easy. The aguadito soup is one of my go-tos and great soul food for cold days. The lomo saltado is ok. The bistec on the tallarin verde looks a bit grey, but the flavor and texture are good. Service is a bit sluggish, but that seems to be a theme at other Peruvian restaurants as well. Overall, an ok experience.

I had the Tallarin Saltado de Mariscos and the dish was fabulous. The mariscos included abundant shrimp, calamari rounds, and mussels, along with tomatoes, onions, red bell pepper, and green onions, of course mixed with tender pasta. This dish can readily serve two. My guest had the Tallarin Saltado de Carne, which was similar to the de Marisco dish, only with asada rather than seafood. It was a huge serving, with over half coming home for later. The table included the green peruvian ahi sauce and some warm bread rolls. The sauce was nice and spicy and the rolls were slightly toasted and served hot. The bread helped mop up the outstanding sauce on the mariscos dish. Of course, Inca Cola was available and a great accompaniment to Tallarin Saltado. Prices are flat out amazing and late lunch service on a Sunday was spot on. The food and table service warrant 5 stars, but the business practice of charging a 4% fee to use the credit card is downright shameful. If this fee was disclosed, it was clearly not obvious. Inca needs to modernize and build their credit card use costs into their overhead cost. What's next, a table cleaning fee, a salt and pepper fee, a dishwashing fee?

Today was the day I decided to stop by and give them a try. Since I wasn't very hungry, I opted to share a meal with my partner. We ordered the chicken Chaufa and an empanada. The meal also came with a dinner roll, which was nice, though a bit burnt, it was fine with butter. The service was good, and the Chaufa was decent, peppery and not as flavorful. Also, they didn't provide extra sauce when we took the leftovers home, which was a bit disappointing. And they charge $1 for credit card payments, I wish there had been a sign indicating this somewhere on the menu or near the register.
