Unfortunately, I wasn't a big fan of this place. Originally found it on instagram and thought it would be fun and the video very much oversold it. Drinks are pretty good and in cool cups but they have a ton of ice in them, or at least the two my partner and I had, did. The food was not very good at all either. This was my first time to this place and it's in Cap Hill. It's inside a passage in a bar. We went there on a Saturday evening at 8 which was a very busy hour for this place. We ended up waiting for appx 2 hours. The place has a speakeasy vibe to it. What makes them different from rest of the bars is their crafted cocktails and the way they serve them. We ordered three cocktails- one came in Amazon package, other one in rice cooker and last one in tiki mug. I loved the way it was presented but taste was okay. Super fun speakeasy in cap hill! It's located inside of Rumba and reservations are required unless you want to wait a couple hours. We made a reservation a couple weeks in advance and there was already limited availability, but we were able to get in! My favorite part about my experience here is the decor. It's beautifully decorated with lights and under-the-sea themed ornaments along the walls. The drinks are served in large themed cups (that are available for purchase!) and there's a giant octopus hanging from the ceiling. They really sold the sea theme!! Our drinks were delicious. I highly recommend the Chi Chi if you like fruity drinks. The food menu is limited, but the drink menu is really great. Drinks were flashy and fun and we were pleasantly surprised on how good the food was from the spam sliders to the beef sliders to the salmon rolls. The brie wontons were just ok but once again, we liked everything we got. Its a trendy bar thats very intimate and tight space. Good for maybe 2-4 people per party. The restaurant is a tiki themed one, so the decor, anesthetics are all decorated that way- ship and ocean themed drinks as well. There are not more than 8 tables- 4 cabanas and few medium and small sized tables. The table is given for just 1 1/2 hours, so please keep that in mind if you are the type who wish to stay longer (like me) lol. All the drinks are presented in a very attractive way with smokes, skulls, pressure cooker, Amazon box theme, got a fish theme etc. I got the Inside passage special one and my partner picked the Amazombie- this definitely wasn't that great. Inside passage one was nice and had a touch of fruity rum. As the place is expensive, each drink is $22, I don't think I ll want to go again, just a one time date night visit, haha! read more

This is a fun place to come with friends on a night out! With a unique atmosphere, fun decorations, and silly drinks to go along with the theme, it's definitely a one of a kind bar in Capitol Hill. There's pretty much always a long wait to get in, even early in the evening, so I suggest starting your evening here, stopping by to put your name down on the list, and leaving for 1-2 hours to visit other bars while you wait. We were able to hit 3 other bars during our wait time, and ended our night off with Inside Passage. We ordered the One-Eyed Willy, The Four Boys, and the Dinglehopper. The Dinglehopper arrived on fire, the Four Boys came in a steamy rice cooker, and the One-Eyed Willy was delivered to us in a treasure box, complete with glowing ice cubes, dry ice, and a skeleton head! My only complaint here would be the prices, as they're definitely steeper than your typical bar. We had dinner at restaurant while waiting 1.5 hrs for our seat at the bar. Mid-dinner the waiter closed our tab and told us to take our food to the bar because our seat was ready. My party carried their plates and waited at the front to be escorted to the bar, but the host was so rude and scolded us for standing there, with our plates, which is what the waiter told us to do. We headed back to our original table to continue waiting and no waiter gave us utensils or water again. We had plastic utensils in our purse (always be prepared!) and used to finish our meal. Their namesake, "The Inside Passage", was even better. I loved the incorporation of unaged rhum agricole, marionberry, and champagne syrup. My husband kept it classic and got a Painkiller and a Banana Daiquiri, both of which were just okay. The daiquiri was far too thick and not sweet enough, and the Painkiller had a strange sour milk aftertaste, and no nutmeg.
