Knowing that this place is a chain, I'm going to rate it more based on service and quality (rather than the actual recipes and menu, as those are the same at any franchised location). Located on Clinton, this spot is nice to come to either a casual sweet treat or dessert after dinner. And accurate to its name, it's open late which is pretty nice. The inside of the shop was clean. There was minimal seating and it seemed more like a grab-and-go kind of spot. Service was nice and quick. Overall, it was a pretty pleasant experience and the cookies were good Now as a cookie establishment as a whole, Insomnia Cookies offers a great variety of your standard cookies (ie. chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, snickerdoodle, etc.) as well as novelty cookies--some of which are limited and some that are part of their regular menu. Moreover, they also offer brownies, cookie cakes, and ice cream as part of their menu. We ordered late night cookies because the pictures looked amazing and they're open late! On top of it, the restaurant does its own deliveries which seemed convenient. Unfortunately, the cookies did not live up to the pictures. They were horribly overpriced, super small and tasted and looked nothing like what they are advertising. On top of that, it took nearly 1.5 hours to receive from ordering to delivery. You're better off getting a box of cookies from the grocery store than going here. Waste of money and very poor quality. I went with the caramel delight, snickerdoodle, white chocolate macadamia nut and chocolate chunk. The standouts were the caramel and the white chocolate Mac but the snickerdoodle was delish as well. i've never been to a dessert shop that specializes in cookies so this was a first for me. the worker was super nice and patient. he explained a lot of things to us and even showed us the size of the cookies without us needing to ask. in my opinion, the deluxe cookies are big enough for 2 people to share. i got the oatmeal chocolate walnut which was pretty good. i also had a bite of the double chocolate mint but honestly, nothing really blew my mind. i don't think i'd be the type to go out of my way to buy a cookie but i would probably come back for an ice cream sandwich. the shop is pretty small and there's only a few stools for seating. read more

She greeted us when we entered the store, sparked up a meaningful exchange, and was efficient throughout the ordering and payment process. The overall store was clean and smelled great. The cookie quality was what you'd expect from other locations (not a bad thing if you like Insomnia Cookies). I would return if back in the area again. This was my first time at this shop. I'm not a fan of cookies but my bf wanted a late night sweet treat. I opted in for ice cream instead. I ordered their cookies and cream IN A CUP, 2 s'mores cookies and a brownie. Total came out at $20ish. The girl at the register asked if I wanted my ice cream on top of the brownie and I specifically said no and asked for both items to be separate. My order was TO-GO and I was a bit upset when she gave me a box with the ice cream on a plate. and when I stated I needed a cup for it like I had originally asked it to be in I was ignored. There are a lot of cookie spots popping up and cookies are subjective, much like pizza. Some like deep dish, others want exotic toppings. I want the nostalgic foldable cheese slice. But as a cookie. And I don't mind paying $5 for it. Things are expensive everywhere and half as good as what you hope for. If I'm paying for something that actually shows up as good as my cookie dreams are longing for, than I'm happy with the cost and willing to pay it.
