Let me tell you that pairing of the double chocolate chunk with milk was so good, it was warm, rich and made me feel happy. I drank that milk, as if I've never had dairy before. Christmas came early, for sure. Also, the snickerdoodle was delicious as well, I just added some frosting on the top. yeah, you heard me, I added frosting, which was a complete game changer by the way. I've been going to this location for 8 years now and I've never experienced anything close to this type of behavior. Looks like they have been changing management for the past few months which is great but the type of manager that just recently hired should be ashamed of her self. It's 2025 and it's crazy how blatantly racist people are it's ridiculous. Me and all the other black people felt the energy while we stranded in line for 15 mins before the manager said anything to us after she continued to make Togo orders when she had a line of black people. She didn't want to help none of us and we all can tell. The way she looked at all of us was uncomfortable and we all felt unwelcome. After waiting for 15 minutes and her allowing her staff to do everything but help the guest in the line. I left without anything. I refuse to spend my money where clearly my business is not valued. I've been a customer at this location for 8 years and I will mostly never return. GUEST COME FIRST as someone who is a manger at their own job i know how proper customer service should be handled in busy situations and that was not it !!!! read more

The cookies are warm, gooey, flavor rich, and soft. My favorite is the Chocolate Mint, but today I was able to grab their new holiday cookies. The Candy Cane was minty goodness with white chocolate, and the Spicy Hot Cocoa was fantastic with a spice filled double chocolate cookie topped with a melted marshmallow. Sheer brilliance...just have some milk to make it epic! I will say their curbside pick-up didn't quite work as expected as no one picked up when I called, so I ended up having to go inside. However, the student staff was friendly. Parking is a challenge with street parking only, but don't let that deter you. They also have ice cream and they can sandwich it between cookies! I went in when it was slow, and there was no one inside, but it was during the street festival, so I can understand some tiredness. But the cashier was straight-up rude when I was ordering. I ordered a vanilla ice cream with sprinkles. The ice cream was curdled and tasted disgusting and the sprinkles were stale. I asked for a cup of water and had to buy a bottle instead of a cup of tap for $3.50?!?!? I understand thats more of a overall company thing but it was outrageous. So my husband and younger sister decided we'd go on a late night run for some insomnia cookies. We're back in Raleigh after deploying overseas for more than 6 months and being stationed in Utah. I was so excited for my husband to finally try insomnia cookies - I hyped this place up like crazy. Anyway, we noticed the sign on the door that stated no more than 3 people inside so we patiently waited outside. Once this couple walked outside from ordering, we entered. We totally didn't see that there was a woman already inside paying for her order (so there are now 4 people in the store). The guy with the neck tattoos working behind the counter then proceeded to yell at us that we could not be in there due to their 3 person limit. We apologized and walked out. I said to my husband "dang I didn't even see her inside" as we were walking out and the guy with the neck tattoos yelled again at us and said rudely "WELL THERES A SIGN ON THE DOOR THAT SAYS IT!". We were stunned. He obviously didn't hear that I was referring to the woman that was already inside. So I'm thinking, okay maybe this guy is just having a rough day... whatever. We enter the store once again once the woman leaves and the guy with the neck tattoos and horrible attitude comes to the counter. I tell him that I want a box of 12 cookies and under his breath he asks "what can I get for your box of cookies?", except I could not hear him - he was speaking softly and I really couldn't hear him over his mask that he was wearing. I said "I'm sorry, I didn't hear you". He repeats himself in the exact same tone and pitch and I honestly couldn't hear him at all. Again, I say "I'm sorry, I still can't hear you.." and he then throws his arms up and yells "WHat cAn I GEt fOR YoUR bOX OF cOoKiEs?!?". I was completely taken aback and could not believe that this man was being THIS rude to us. I really wanted some cookies so I still placed my order. But the guy with the neck tattoos was being so rude and was rushing me to place my order and I wasn't going to allow him to ruin our night. He slid my box of cookies under the window and walked away without saying a word to us and walked to the back. I'm sure this guy was just having a bad day - we get it. But that is NO excuse to treat us poorly. During these times, people are going through rough situations and you never know who you could be affecting. As much as I love insomnia cookies, we will never be returning here again. If I could give this place ZERO stars, I would do so in a heartbeat. We placed an order online to be delivered to nurses at UNC Rex Hospital. I'm not sure how it could have gone any worse. I placed the order to be delivered the next day 1pm and the website would inexplicably hang at times. It took a bizarrely long time to finish and pay for the order, but I was determined as these nurses that had helped me the day before deserved something nice. Then on delivery day the wheels fell off the wagon. After 1pm I checked the order status and saw the order was delivered. I was happy... but erroneously so. At 2:12pm I got an email the delivery had a problem and I should call their customer service number. After 22 minutes on hold an agent picked up the call. I was told in a rather hostile tone that the driver can't go into a hospital for COVID reasons and the driver had called me. Ummm... sorry... nobody called me! The agent stated again that for COVID reasons, the driver can't go into a hospital. So it seems to me they clearly saw the address was a hospital, they could have called me that morning to work something out. Instead I got a notification it was delivered, was told I was called by the driver they couldn't deliver the order (which never happened), and then got a hostile agent. All this so I could thank two nurses who helped me the previous day. Overall not the best experience I'd say! read more

Second try the cookies were delivered 2 hours after delivery and they were cold. Third attempt status was "baking" one hour into the wait so I called customer service and cancelled. They apparently never communicated that to the poor kid who was delivering my cookies and I had left home. I had to be the person to tell him I cancelled my order because the service was too slow.
